It Just Works
I have two guitars with a high gloss finish, two with a matte finish, on one with a polished lacquer finish. This cloth works great on all of them. I tried the microfiber cloths from the hardware and auto part store. They did not work as well as this Ernie Ball cloth. I just ordered two more so each guitar has one in the case, and I have one in my playing corner, for a total of 6. Dry or with polish for the gloss finishes, they work great. If they get dirty over time, just hand wash them with Dawn. They take a long time to dry, but dry soft like new.
