Ernie Ball 2850 Super Long Scale Slinky Nickel Wound Electric Bass Guitar Strings - .045-.130 5-string Reviews
Ernie Ball Nickel Wound Super Long Scale Electric Bass Strings are made from nickel-plated steel wrapped around hex-shaped steel core wire. Each string delivers a bright, balanced tone. Ernie Ball strings have been a top choice for players of all types since the early 1960s, when guitarists came into Ernie Ball’s music store and customized their string gauges to make their axes easier to play. After fruitless attempts to interest major guitar manufacturers in a lighter set of strings, Ernie Ball decided to start making his own. When you open a pack of his strings today, you know you’re getting a quality set of strings designed to give you great tone, reliable performance, and long life. You can’t go wrong when you string up with Ernie Ball strings from Sweetwater!

Must Buy
If you have an extended range bass, these strings are a must buy. I love Ernie Ball strings, and these really brought my Solar AB2.4c Baritone bass to life. These have all the same feel as the Regular Slinky Bass strings, so if you're a fan of those on your regular bass, put these on your extended range bass.
Hypnotized
I have a Schecter Diamond series 5 string bass that was shipped with these on from factory. Someone knows whats up..lol..I never heard a bass sound so good. And I know there is a lot to that amp pedals pickups etc.. But I dont even have to be plugged in and the instrument just sings.. I'm so glad I was able to locate the 2850's and should stock up cause I wont use anything else.
Thankful
Until recently, Sweetwater did not keep these in stock. I use Lakland basses and they are 35' scale so the Super Long strings must be used if you want to string through the body. These strings fit like a glove. I have been using Ernie Ball strings for over 20 years and these feel like home. These are punchy and have a great feel. The tension is where I prefer.
