Ernie Ball 2217 Zippy Slinky Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings - .007-.036 Reviews
Ernie Ball strings have been a top choice for players of all types since the early 1960s, when guitarists came into Ernie Ball’s music store, customizing their string gauges to make their axes easier to play. After fruitless attempts to interest major guitar manufacturers in a lighter set of strings, Ernie Ball decided to start making his own. When you open a pack of his strings today, you know you’re getting a quality set of strings designed to give you great tone, reliable performance, and long life. You can’t go wrong when you string up with Ernie Ball strings!

GREAT
hi all . i have been playing guitar for about 50 years. now if you like to bend strings as you play. THIS IS THE STRINGS YOU NEED. ever heard the old story from zz tops billy gibbons ? bb king ask billy why are you working so hard ? billy says to bb king . what do ya mean ? he told billy to get 7's ERNIE BALL STRINGS. BILLY SAID HE HAS BEEN USING THAT GAUGE EVER SINCE. they are really easy on the fingers. there mostly for lead guitar. so thought i would share that story with ya ladys and guys i have been using the 7's for about 20 years they are the best i could find. thanks all
I love them so much
Since I've started on electric guitar I've mainly used 9s, sometimes 8s on semi hollows. I just put these on my strat and I love them. You can easily bend to notes 4 frets up. They're very easy to play and I highly recommend them
Great Strings
After years of using EB Extra Slinkies .008 - .038 it was exciting to see them offering this Zippy set .007 - .036. If you're inclined to give them a try you won't regret it. A great new string set from Ernie Ball.
Well....
These are probably fantastic for someone who has carpel tunnel syndrome or other hand or finger problems, but for regular players they are just silly. They should be called Silly Slinky's. My personal experience with these is that make your guitar feel like a toy and it will require a whole new set-up to play properly on your guitar if you were using 9's or 10's. If you want to down tune then these will not work. The worst part is that you will need to completely change your amps settings since these are tonally-pretty thin.
Super Super Slink
I broke the high E #7 upon installation... so order the 3 pack. Gone are the days EB would ship 2 high e's. These are incredibly slinky thin strings. Had to raise bridge a milimeter for fret buzz on my LP. 4 stars.. if they make through a gig I'll add a star!
