Designed for student guitarists, the Epiphone PRO-1 Classic is a 3/4-scale nylon-stringed classical acoustic guitar that’s easy to play and sounds great. Nice Little Guitar
Epiphone did a good job putting together this little guitar. Its well constructed, has a pretty good sound considering the size of the body and it needed no setup other than a change of strings. I have been playing guitar for over 50 years and bought this for a travel guitar that I can carry along on camping trips. Its also nice for sitting back in my chair in front of the computer while learning a new song.
Good job Epiphone and cudos to Sweetwater on their good packing and shipping.
Gut!
Very very gut! Exceptional build quality.if your like me and used to play guitar. But are afraid of the cutting pain of steel strings. This little honey will gently coax you back into the world of music. She's a real sweetheart.
Great quality, value and service
My new Epiphone PRO-1 3/4 scale classical guitar arrived on time as promised. The guitar was double-boxed with plenty of bubble wrap for safety. Once I tuned it up and played a few chords and notes, I remarked about the outstanding tone and sustain it achieved.
I will admit, I was a bit skeptical purchasing a classical guitar at such a low price, but figured at the very least I will get what I pay for. I have some experience with Epiphone guitars and have found them to be well crafted and engineered.
I have found the fit and finish on this guitar is outstanding and the tonal quality it emits is far beyond my expectations. It is a wonderful guitar that should give me many years of pleasure.
Thank you, Sweetwater
Starter Guitar
Bought this for my niece just learning to play. The 3/4 size is comfortable for her. Good starter guitar.
Great guitar with sweet sustain
I have very small hands for a middle-aged adult and find the 3/4 size and scale length to be the perfect size and it fits my frame (doesn't look toy sized). As for the tuning, I did not find it to come out of tune in an excessive way. The nylon strings need to be stretched over time in a new guitar, so be patient as they stretch with each tuning. I bought the bundle (guitar with the Epiphone gig bag. It was the best price to be found online, and none had of the competitors had the bundle. What pleasantly surprised me was the guitar's sustain, and can only attribute it to the materials (cedar top & mahogany back & sides: although laminates, it's still the basis and character of the sound). My sales engineer Dave Cody could not be any nicer of a human being - a super knowledgeable guitarist willing to share his guitar journey. The packaging was nice & secure, and shipping was quick and free with sweet thank you! Thank you for making a 50 year dream come true with my first guitar!
Excellent guitar
Exactly as described, love the quality and sound, and such a great price!
So far so good
Just started learning to play the guitar. So far, so good!
i have not much for a title, why a title i am not writeing a book?
this little guitar is of the best quality and sound, the service from sweet water is even better. thank you again bobby e.bobby e.
Great little guitar!
We've all seen and probably started on "beginner" guitars that are just cheaply made and discouraging to play. This is not one of them. It is well made and set up and a joy to play. Enough volume and tone. The short scale and nylon strings are great for small hands and the 3/4 size is very manageable.
I bought this for my 7yr old grand daughter because she's been begging for a guitar for her birthday and the size and play-ability will be just right. I've pictured it with a duolian for size comparison.
Won’t stay in tune
Wanted a little guitar to just pick up and "doodle"... but this thing won't stay in tune for more than 2 minutes of playing. I'm an accomplished player (30+ years) and have a decent guitar collection (See attached) so I think I have a fair opinion about the "playability" of guitars.
Not sure if this problem will go away but if you want to play more than re-tune the guitar, don't buy this thing!
