Eastman Guitars E6SS-TC Slope Shoulder Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar - Sunburst
Eastman Guitars E6SS-TC Slope Shoulder Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar - Sunburst Reviews
The E6SS-TC represents Eastman Guitars’ tribute to the classic American slope-shouldered dreadnoughts of yore, pairing the copmany’s innovative Thermo-cure process with one of the most time-tested formulas in the 6-string world. In classic slope-shoulder fashion, this guitar starts with a short 24.75-inch scale length for a slinky, easy-to-play feel. An all-solid tonewood configuration consisting of a Thermo-cured Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides capture the dry, crisp, and direct quality so sought after by singer-songwriters, forming a perfect sonic backdrop for your voice to shine over. What’s more, this premium-grade guitar ups the ante even further with a glassy ebony fingerboard, Traditional Even C mahogany neck, and hand-carved scalloped X-bracing. With one foot in the past and one foot in the future, the Eastman E6SS-TC is a professional-grade instrument crafted in the handbuilt tradition, ready to go head-to-head with even the most brilliant boutique instruments.

Terrific Guitar
Beautifully constructed, and wonderful tone. Nice full and balanced. The hardshell case is heavy, but really well made.
Beautiful Sounding Guitar
The E6SS sounds as good as others costing 2-3x as much. The setup was great right out of the box. The case is phenomenal and when I open it up the smell of this guitar was pleasant too. All of these positives could not overcome two cosmetic flaws in the fret markers always visible to me. If Eastman cared about it's quality (which I thought so) the issue should have been corrected in the factory.
best acoustic guitar I've owned
I bought my E6 in Dec '24. It was shipped promptly and arrived in its nice case and in tune! (well almost, but still, I was impressed) Immaculately cleaned and with a great set up, I started falling in love with the sound--very resonant and lots of sustain...similar to J45 but it really has its own sound. I found that its responsive nature and sustain started to make me adjust my technique a bit. I recommend staying with the D'Addario XS strings--didn't like the tone as much with Elixirs. This guitar makes me sound better than I am! Very satisfied.
