My home church used them for many years, and I was blown away by the quality of them. So when I was able to get a pack for myself, I was still in love with them! The low end on these mics is unbeatable, and the build quality is outstanding as well!

I've used these mics before, but never owned them. Now that I have them at home and get to experiment with them, I like them even more. Full bodied, crisp and clear sound on the any tom, snare even. Percussion too.

I'm a studio and live music producer of some of the biggest national acts. These are my go to Tom mics.
I have much more expensive (Tom) mics but these are so quick and easy because they're small and clip ons. My results have been excellent.
My concerts and live recordings sound amazing and soon I will purchase a second set start using them in the recording studio.
These are good for Toms not snare or bass drum.

I love them on Toms for 4 reasons…
1. The price point is incredible for what you get.
2. They are unobtrusive and the included mic clips work well and can be installed quickly.
3. They are very responsive and have really good dynamic range which makes it easy to gate your Tom tracks and make edits.
4. They sound just as good if not better than my previous Tom mics which have been AKG 414's, md421's, sm58 and 57's.

These mics are great! They are super compact and rugged and sound amazing. I replaced all of my to mics with these. Only complaint is I wish this 3 pack came in a hard case. But I found a customizable one and made a case myself.

I love how good they sound. They are very small, which at first had me doubtful, but when I put them on and set them good, the sound quality was great. Just love them honestly. Even the mic clip it's very strong.

I bought these to expand my ability to handle multiple bands. Great clips, great mics.

I have used these mics on toms many times and have always been happy with the big fat sound. I recently did a show using them on snare top and bottom. I was impressed with the sound and even more happy with not having to wrangle two mic stands into the crowded area around the high hat and snare. Makes life much easier. Now I want to use them all the time on all the drums.

Although I haven't recorded my drums yet (and I'm sure I will be satisfied because many drummers use these mics, in addition to Sennhauser's reputation), the clips are very disappointing. Part of my choosing these mics was the mounting system, but unfortunately the clips do not work on my "rim" system rack toms. Also, I made all my own mic cables using right angle connectors (an attempt to keep the mic and cable as low profile as possible) which do not work with these mic clips either. Maybe not absolutely necessary depending on how one sets up their drums, but I think the clips should be made to be more versatile especially because so many drums are mounted using the "rim" system.

I use this at Sin City Church. I'm also miking my snare with one.
They perform well and hold up to getting hit with drumsticks.

These sound freakin great. A tiny bit of EQ and some compression and my Yamaha Recording Custom kit was off to the races with nice close mic'd tom sound. They are focused and low on bleed. I dig it.

I might try one as a top mic on the snare too since I play a 4 piece and have a extra mic with the 3 pack.

Love this deal. I was using some large more expensive mics on my toms. I was getting a great sound, but wanted to use those mics for other things. They were also bulky and in the way. The Sennheiser e-604 mics are perfect for me. They sound great! I don't know that I could tell the difference from the other mics. I've also freed up three mic stands … and the price for the three pack is awesome. My one worry was the vibration from mounting them on the toms, but I have not noticed any problems with that.

I'm very satisfied with the e604 on my toms. ITV sounds good and don't brake the bank. I recommend.

If you're in the market for tom mics, get these! Every engineer knows the E604 like the back of their hand. My drums sounded awesome as expected!

I have had 4 of these microphones since the early nineties - all of which are still going strong - needed a couple more of these and wanted a couple of 904's to replace some of the sm57's I was using on my remaining tom's. 57's are great microphones, but I prefer to have matching mic's on all toms and use 57's on snare drums. The 3 pack with the cables is an incredible deal, and I earned some bonus bucks on the 904's as well. The only thing better than these mic's is Sweetwater's deals and outstanding service - you guys rock!

If you buy most any Sennheiser mics you can't go wrong. These little guys are no exception. They work great for drums, including snare. They are durable, easy to use, and they sound fantastic.

I replaced my good quality but old tom microphones with the Sennheiser e604s and WOW what a difference! I didn't realize what I was missing. The sound is amazing! The frequency response and overall tone is so much better. For the money these can't be beat. Wish I would have gotten these sooner.

These mics are doing a good job they sound pretty darn good but I love the size very small and the RAM mount that comes with them as small as well doesn't get in your way looks good on your drum give it a try call Joshua Lively

These are great. I have 6 e604's total and they're the best sounding drum mics for the money. Yes, there are better studio mics, and the more expensive 904's are great, but for a working musician or live sound engineer, these are the way to go. They have a 10 year warranty with Sennheiser, but I've never had a problem with them, and my first set is pretty beat up at this point. So if you're looking for drum mics, these are the way to go!

These are great compact dynamic cardioid mics for your toms and snares! The frequency response and cardioid pick-up pattern are optimized for drums.

My band just played a large outdoor concert.
I had my small AKG clip on condensor mics on my drum kit.

The sound guy said, "lets try these sennheiser e604 mics, I think you"ll be impressed "!

I bought these to replace a mismatch set of 57s and some old AT drum mics that I've had since I started running sound...
These mics are great! They don't look like it, but they're tough and hold up well to some drummers who like to play the mics... Not only that, they sound great, are easy to position and stay put with the rim clips they come with; even when they become percussion instruments themselves!
Now I have 12 of the e604 mics, and they are my snare/tom staple in both of my rigs.

I first popped these on my drummers African dun-duns, the provided clips actually worked on them, and made them sound like thunder. Have used them on countless drums since. Solid, punchy, and a great investment in my live audio arsenal. The clips also retract a little and fit in my skb 12 mic case without taking the mic off, another score.

These mics were just a replacement for same mics that were stolen from our drum kit earlier this year. They sound great and they're reliable. WE toyed around with the idea of going with a different brand, but at the end, we knew these mics are the best for what we need.
As far as customer service- It was superb. The mics were here in less than 48hrs and I had a representative calling/leaving a voicemail every step of the way. I truly enjoyed the above and beyond customer care.

I bought these little guys to mic toms and snares and let me tell you that these do not disappoint. The e604s don't need to use separate mic stands and they don't get in the way of your drum playing. The setup up is very easy and you'll get quality sound out of them. It was worth the purchase.

I had been using some Shure dynamic mic's prior to using these, and these are so much easier to adjust and setup and teardown. Also they sound better in my opinion than the Shure's probably because it's so easy to get them right where you want them. Highly recommended.

I ordered the 3-pack of e604s to reduce the cluttered mess of stands around the drum kit for my recording sessions and (hopefully) get some better results on toms than the 57s I've been relying on for a few years. There are better mic choices for this application, obviously, but most of the bands I record are in the metal, punk, or otherwise generally LOUD realm and subtlety is rarely in the formula. 90% of those sessions are also done live in untreated spaces of a questionable nature (i.e., basements), so cardioid dynamics are a necessity. On rack toms? Killer sound and the cymbal bleed seemed diminished compared to past recordings I've done using 57s (probably due to the smaller size and included clips making it easier to angle and position). I'm not totally sold yet on the e604 as a good option for floor toms, but I've only used this mic for one session so far and while I tuned the drummer's kit beforehand and the heads were fairly fresh, there was a lot of body on the floor tom missing through the mic even after obsessively adjusting the mic placement. However, the overheads filled in enough of the missing body and all the transient attack and initial tone of the floor tom came through on the individual channel. Nothing that a small amount of reverb didn't help, too. Hopefully further sessions will give better results on the floor tom as I'm able to tweak a bit. I used the last mic for the bottom head of the snare, which turned out great: fat slap and plenty of high-end energy from the snares. I'd say if you're considering cardioid dynamic choices for drum applications, this is a great buy on a budget with a smaller footprint.

They are so SMALL. If you've never seen them you might be very surprised as I was. They sound pretty good I expected a bit better but still good. They are perfect in a small studio like mine where you dont have room for more stands and you need to clip them.

Great response, small area requirement , so mics are easily placed on drum set. Clips are easy to use and adjustable. Sound men love them , so , I love em....great little drum mics

I'm a real amateur just getting starting recording and was looking for a good set of tom mics for a reasonable price. I finally settled on these and it was definitely the right choice. They are built to last and sound great. They have a really low profile so I don't feel pressured not to hit them. They sound pretty good as well.

Fully adjustable, very small and easy to move around... Drummer will not be complaining or hitting these. Sound is clean and full, almost no feedback even when cranked. Sounds bad awesome on snare, works on large floor toms as well. Comes with awesome clip that lets you get very close to the drum head. Glad I bought them. All you need is an omni bass drum mic or the sub kick and you have a top notch set up.

I have had a chance to use the e604s on several session and so far they have gotten a GREAT tom sound! I prefer them over the SM57. In addition, the size is great for staying out of the way, and the clip is fantastic. Puts the mics in the perfect spot with the ability to adjust angle and height. Great investment!
