I reviewed this strap a year ago and adding notes.
The padded section does not sit in the correct shoulder position. Padded section should be moved further back on the strap, or made longer. The padding mostly sits against chest/ top of shoulder and ends there. I can't think why anyone would want the part of the strap that connects to the top strap button padded. Also, the metal ring in back sits between my shoulder blades. It's not painful, but I notice it while playing.
On the plus side, good quality and looks amazing. I still use it occasionally on gigs.

I have now purchased three of these. I'm totally spoiled and will never use anything else. Great padding, solid construction and perfect weight distribution. And they look great!

I've got two of these and they are the most comfortable straps I have used. Then, that they look and smell great is a bonus.

This strap looks great and is good quality. Especially for the price. Downside is the foam padding. I've played with this strap on 3 gigs and a few rehearsals. It feels bulky and stiff on the shoulder. I notice the strap while wearing it. Seems like the padding should mold into the shoulder but I feel it sitting stiffly on top.
Would rather have a full grain leather strap with thin foam padding that hugs the shoulder.

Bass guitars can be awfully heavy. Especially if they are solid body guitars. This strap is wide, padded and soft on the shoulder. It's also strong since it's made of real leather. Should last me a very long time.

I would have given this 5 stars based on comfort and quality. It looks great against my mahogany bass. But as you can see in the photos, it will not fit over the strap button. One hole and slit is smaller than the other. You can see the fray from where I had to fininish separating the cut. Due to the great quality of the leather, I'll have to take this to my local leather shop to have it punched out properly. Inexpensive fix on a fairly priced product, but I shouldn't have to do it. I truly expect more from "Made in America" products.

I picked up this LM Products strap for my new G&L L2500 5 string bass. This strap is made of the finest leather and has a fantastic appearance and feel. The padding is the perfect amount and the bass cleft design is a nice subtle feature. The quick adjust buckle is a handy addition, too. It is one of the nicest straps I've ever owned. I highly recommend it.

I'm not a "glowing Review' type person. This strap is really well built. Leather is beautiful and it is really comfortable. The adjustment mechanism is simple and allows you to adjust the strap without removing it from the bass. Just a simple slide and it can be adjusted in small increments. Really genius. No issues what so ever. Outstanding quality and Value. Bought 2. Wont be buying anything else for my basses. I realize as with all things, this is highly subjective. But imho, best strap out there, bar none.

I was looking for something different to go with my new EBMM Sti gray Special 4HH. I saw a similar strap on a friend's bass. I immediately started scanning the internet found these straps basically 1/2 price. But was concerned about the length.
As it turns out it was long enough and absolutely a work of art and extremely comfortable. Started out using Levy's then Coach, now I'll be getting LM PRODUCTS for my other Bass. Hopefully the longevity will be as excellent as the craftsmanship.

I use this on my Ibanez bass. It is very comfortable, and the width is perfect on my shoulder. I'm a 5'6" woman, and the length is just right, too. It doesn't slip on my shoulder at all. The quality of the leather is first rate. I've gotten several complements on it already! I play daily, and am 100% satisfied with it!

I play a jazz bass and this strap helps to reduce the soreness in my left shoulder when I'm playing for an hour or two. Would recommend. Looks very nice too.

From the ample padding to the quality construction, this is a top-notch strap. My bass is around 9lbs, and I had an unpadded guitar strap before this. That got old quick, but now I can wear the bass for hours.

I bought a couple straps from LM, for my Warwick Thumb and Fender Geddy Lee and I'll tell you, they're the best straps I've ever owned, and will buy a couple more for my other basses. Top notch leather and leather alternative work - especially with the bass cleft!!! SO RULING !!! I've also seen a white yin/yang strap that LM has made - that's on I want in the future! Can't say enough about these bass straps, great memory foam padding, nice and wide shoulder displacement, etc... Cannot go wrong!

Comfortable strap, we'll made..

The padding is thick and the craftsmanship and eye for detail have it looking sleek not bulky! The strap adjustability is superior to the slot method on other brands. You can dial it in exactly where you need it instead of living with it close enough. Quality leather and stitching, and the bass clef is beautiful! I bought three in different colors and leather grains. All are beautiful and comfortable! The price is low compared to its quality! Grab one while you can!

This strap is beautiful, comfortable and extremely well made. My wife can care less about my new bass, but she raved about the strap! The padding is perfect and the quality is perfect.

This is a pretty strap that distributes the weight of the bass very well. It works.

My current main bass is a Warwick Thumb 5 BO. The Thumb is known for being weighty and having some neck dive; this strap absolutely fixed my neck dive issue and the bass now sits very comfortably.

I love how wide and cushioned the strap is, I can stand for many hours without shoulder soreness.

Great quality of leather.

Only issue is that the strap tends to slide down/loosen during play, not quite enough friction in the cinch to keep the strap length I preferred (I like to play up high).
I used a leather hole punch and fastener to make a hole near the cinching end of the strap to keep the strap from slipping. Super easy fix, and well worth it. This thing is great!

Good quality leather, but the padded portion is way too short causing a buckle to land squarely in the middle of your shoulder blades. Irritating.

Also, those who like a long strap (not me) will find the total length to be short.

I've had this strap for nearly 3 years. It's comfortable, sturdy, and still looks like new! Highly recommended for any bass player.

At 70 years old, my '65 P-bass was starting to wear on my shoulder This strap took the pressure off right away. The old strap had been on since the 80's and I never noticed how worn it was. I think I have 10 years of steam left so this is most likely my last strap.

Your strap locks aren"t needed

Such a bummer, super nice leather, really good padding and beautiful workmanship. Darn they made the padded section too short so that the ring (why metal? heavy for nothing) digs into your back. That ends the discussion right there.

The small leather part below the bass clef should be about 2-3 inches longer and the padded section 3 inches longer, and the rest 5 inches shorter, get rid of the metal parts and make it the way most of the other mfg do it with the fold back in that section. Sorry back to the design board.

After years of using another regular guitar strap for my Ibanez 5-string I finally found this one at Sweetwater designed specifically for heavy basses. This strap exceeded my expectations in all categories, quality of construction, comfort, balance, appearance, weight, sturdiness, design. The strap has thick, comfortable padding in just the right location over the shoulder to support heavier bass guitars with ease and playability.
The button holes are well placed and sturdy. It is easily adjustable. The color blends perfectly with my instrument and the very cool "Bass Clef" inlay makes it really stand out. I am very pleased with this purchase.

About the product: After playing my Fender Jazz bass for over a year using the strap that I normally use for my guitar (an acoustic/electric Takamine), I FINALLY broke down and purchased this padded strap. What a difference this has made in my playing comfort! We typically do long sets (1 1/2 - 2 hours), and standing there in my 5'2 inch frame holding up that monster was challenging. I was a little concerned that the width of 3.5" would be too wide, but that width really distributes the weight of the guitar very nicely. The "maiden voyage" gig for the strap was a success, and I am looking forward to many more comfortable gigs. The icing on the cake? It's really beautiful!

I bought this strap because I figured it would be more comfortable than the original I had for the last year and a half. Comfort turned out to be only part of the equation. The strap places the bass in a better playing position for me. That was completely unexpected, but it has made a big difference in my playing. I heartily endorse this strap.

I have a lot of bass straps but this one is the best has a cushion in the strap and holds firm without any movement while playing I'm looking to get the red one when it's available and hopefully they make a white one I'm also getting the black one really the best strap I have ever used
