An everything practice package!!

By Chad LaVigne from TOLEDO, OH on March 22, 2024

I have this things big brother in the basement if I really want to shake the walls. Truth be told….this thing can do a couple things big bro can't. First, this can double as a Bluetooth speaker and play music or whatever you're listening to on your device (buy the adapter). Second, it has built in drum or metronome backing in multiple genres. Lastly, there's a looper that will work with an optional pedal that I don't have but also don't need at this time. Thanks to this little gem, I now have a bass and amp in everywhere I usually am to take away the excuses! Special thanks to Richard Granger for his assistance and friendliness in making this purchase.

Great Amp for Cello - See Attached Video

By Droidiphile from SF Bay Area on March 12, 2024 Music Background: Geezer Rocker - semi professional

See attached video (the amp is behind me). For electric cello, this amp kicks it! My wife and I recorded Pachelbel's Canon :: I used the looper to record the guitar arpeggios, then played the cello part on top of that. You will want to download the free software to set the looper to 90secs (default is only 45 secs).

Almost a "must have"

By Drew from Klamath Falls, OR on February 12, 2024

Since they've apparently discontinued the 4 x 5", and if you don't already have that model (as I do), this is almost a "must have" IMO; for practice (incl. quieter rehearsals w/ full bad/partners) and even busking (w/ AcBassGuit or even regular guitar), this thing is fantastic. The sound is amazing, the models/settings are so on-point, and for private practice, the built-in drum rhythms are beyond-the-pall surprising as to how great they are (great sounding, and useful/inspiring) compared to a simple metronome. For this lower price, I'm tempted to get this as well--they are that useful, versatile, well-built, easy to use, and fantastic sounding.

Power in a small

This is a very powerful and useful bass amp all in a very compact box. It sounds terrific as well.

Jack of all trades

There's a lot of value in this amp. The range of tone is good for an amp this size. Since it's portable that will mean one less pedal. The drum machine is nice for practice and allows for some variation in style, and you can punch in tempo. The looper is okay, it won't let you record a full 12 bar blues at a lower BPM which is important for noodling around as a bassist. The overdubbing is nice.

The amp has a long lifespan on battery life, I had to pick up some rechargeable double-A's for it. You get around 8 hours on a charge. Would be nice if it were a rechargeable battery.

It's a very feature-rich amp, sounds good, and for a portable amp it has a lot of value. But charging and looping could be better

A LOT OF FEATURES, BUT.........

By Mike from Arizona on September 26, 2023 Music Background: Multi instrumentalist on various stringed instruments.

Recently purchased this little bass amp because I thought it would be a good practice tool due to all of the features. What I found though is that the speakers just would not handle any volume at all without rattling and distorting. I tried both of my basses, (a solid-body uke with Thunder Brown's and a Hofner Club bass with Chrome Flats). The results were basically the same. The other thing that irked me was the direction Boss has gone with Bluetooth availability being an added cost option. This amp already costs almost $ with tax and then an extra $+ for the adapter. I mean, come on Boss!
The only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 2 was because my Sweetwater Rep was very helpful and understanding in facilitating the return of the unit to them with a full refund. Thanks Colton!!
So....... I really can't recommend this to anyone. I own several Boss/Roland products which have been great, but this one just doesn't do it for me.
