Great fit in a top quality Hard Case. Provides all the protection I was looking for. A little pricy bet well worth the money.

This fits my Martin short scale acoustic/electric bass perfectly. Very nice build, solid case for my bass!

Very snug fitting Martin Labeled case. Arrived in almost perfect condition. A few tiny spots on the outside where some glue at the edges was missed. Still worth the price to protect the Martin D10 Jr vs the soft gig bag that it came with. It should also have at least a 4th latch vs the 3 but hopefully this is something they address in the future. it's a very tight fit.....maybe i got a bad case?

The gig bag that came with my guitar doesn't hold humidity very well so i was checking it and adding water to the humidifier way more often than I cared to. This case solved that. It's a pretty snug fit but it does exactly what I was hoping for.

Re-evaluating this case after having had the replacement for a defective one a couple of months. Here's the rub: this case supports the neck only at the headstock. The support at the midpoint of the neck is 1/4-1/2 inch too low. The case was clearly designed for the older model dread jr with its thicker body. So with lid closed the top of the guitar is not supported because it was designed for a thicker body guitar. How much does this matter? You decide, but to me, had I been aware of lack of neck support I would have passed on this case. TKL, you should make consumers aware.
Now I am modifying this case to do what is expected of it. No fault of Sweetwater, they are still my go to for online purchases.

This is an update after returning a case with a defective latch. Sweetwater covered all shipping expenses and got me a replacement in fairly short order. The replacement case has properly functioning latches and the interior padding is not quite as tight as the returned case but plenty snug. Same issue with fit of top to the bottom but with a little pressure latches close securely and everything lines up.
This case is not up to the same standards as the TKL case I have for a higher end Martin. There is a Martin logo on the case, I suspect Martin is getting a slice of the price tag which realistically is astronomical. I my opinion this case should sell for $100.
But I really prize and enjoy my Dreadnought Jr 10 so I put out the coin. The case is protective but not for airline travel. I suspect that I will not cry but once though, but lament when it starts falling apart due to overall lack of quality. The outer vinyl lamination is not well applied at the seams. Interestingly, the case was out of stock and on backorder for a while but my replacement case was manufactured in 2018.

I ordered this case despite some negative reviews going back a couple of years. I expected similar quality to TKL cases for my other Martin. Not so. Hardware on handle thin and flimsy. The three hinges are similar and clearly not on par with my other TKL case, really seems deliberately " dumbed down". The latch at the headstock doesn't not close securely because the two components were mounted too close together and offset as well. There are only three latches so in my sample there are effectively only two. The lid does not close properly unless the lip of the body of the case is compressed to allow proper overlap. The fit for guitar is very snug but I suspect will compress with time.
A label attached to case is marked "MADE IN CANADA" but I wonder if that is is the only part made in Canada. The quality of materials and workmanship is not what I have come to expect from Canada. Could this be a fake? Probably not.
I am considering returning it although justifying the shipping expense is difficult. A replacement might be even worse.
In summary VERY disappointed. The only real improvement over the flimsy and too short gig bag Martin supplied with the guitar is that this one is indeed hard.

This case is a perfect fit for my DJr. I at first thought it might be too tight, but the padding just needs to be packed down a bit. I'm impressed, I really didn't know that it was a Martin (and not a third party case) when I ordered it. Explains why the fit is so snug for sure and also explains the high quality. Although the price is at the higher end for an acoustic case, the quality is what you would expect. I'm very happy with it and feel really good about the purchase.

I recently bought a Martin Dreadnought Jr guitar from Sweetwater and it"s an excellent sounding guitar. Needless to say the included soft shell case is poor at best. I tried to find a hard case that would fit the guitar but they were either too small or too large. Buster from Sweetwater recommended the Junior Hardshell case as really the only case made for the dimensions of my guitar. It may be a pricey case, but my guitar is worth the protection...after all I bought to take to the campfires. It"s not a fancy case perse but it looks OK and was a needed accessory. The guitar fitted snuggly at first, but it"s worked in now.

If you buy a Martin DR Jr., order this case along with the guitar...

I held off buying the case due to its price, but I finally bought it to better protect my guitar. I'm real happy with the case. It is solid, looks good, and is a tight fit for the Dread Jr.

I don't have any issues with this case, was a little tight getting the guitar in the first few times but the padding loosened up to a perfect fit now. Would definitely buy another if needed

Little did I know when I bought the Martin guitar, there was only one case that would fit. Our sales representative Chris found it for me instantly and ordered it getting it here in time for Valentine's Day. The case is beautiful and very well made. Thank you again

The only reason I"m giving this 4 stars is because I feel the price is a little high. That being said I did hours and hours of research trying to find a case that fits my Martin djr with little luck. Sweetwaters service was outstanding to say the least and my representative, Codie went above and beyond for me for a couple of weeks trying to find a good case for my guitar. There were a couple of choices that were cheaper but the guitar would have had some wiggle room and I didn"t want to chance it.
In the end, despite the not so great reviews I did order the case and was surprised how nice it was! At least from my perspective it is sturdy, all of the clasps meet nicely and no signs of faults others have had. That inside does have a weird smell but after a week it"s already going away.
I bought the case to help regulate humidity in Chicago"s dry winter season. I was having a heck of a time keeping humidity above 40 percent with the case that came with the Martin (which is nice in itself but couldn"t do the job regardless of having nomad and humidi pacs). Within days the humidity rose to 49 percent and has stayed right around there since.
Bottom line if you have the Martin Jr there aren"t many choices when it comes to hard cases and I"m beyond pleased with this case being comfortable knowing my infestment is protected!

Purchased Martin D Jr w h/s case as gift for Christmas and would return case if time allowed.
Guitar fits in nicely however overall quality of case not worth... anywhere north of $100 imo. My fault for not reading reviews or asking any questions when I ordered. Assumed with Martin name on it...

I read a number of reviews of this case beforehand. I ordered it reluctantly, knowing I could trust Sweetwater to take it back. The case fits the guitar well and is reasonably sturdy. The fit and finish is only fair. One of the latches doesn't close tightly and there are only three of them. I'm a little disappointed that Martin would put their name on this. It's not the worst case I have but it's close to it. Not worth the suggested retail price of $169. I haven't decide whether or not to keep it. This is the only item I have ever purchased from Sweetwater that has not met or exceeded my expectations. They are the best!

I was really disappointed in this case. The guitar fit very well with lots of padding. After that it was not as good as it should be for $. First it was a flat top, not arched . Second, The lid did not line up with the case very well ( I have to pull it forward to close ) and third only three latches and they didn't line up well top to bottom. I recently purchased a Gator case for my Les Paul , from Sweetwater, and it is a much nicer case than this.

This is a overall good hardshell case and will provide you some real protection to your guitar with enough cushion (I even think if it maybe sturdy enough as checked luggage when you travel). But before you buy it you should also know there are many similar sized hardshell cases available in the market and much less expensive, consider it twice before you buy it. This case is really really heavy and the craft is not as nice as I expected, there is some glue residue inside the small compartment but considering the purpose of using the case it is not that important.
