Keeley pedals are always top notch. It's great.

Love this pedal

By Gary C from Rochester NY on March 2, 2023

I have had this pedal for some time and it is permanent on my pedal board. This pedal sits next to my Boss (DC3) digital dimension that has been on my board for years. It's like the DC3 on steroids. The two pedals were meant for each other. Thanks to Yuval a great sales rep. I feel like family.

What a cool pedal!

"This was the first time I used Sweetwater. I'm usually a have to touch and play it first person. However, with pedals it usually comes down to who has them. I not only got one of the last 3 (Keeley 30MS) it was on sale with free shipping! Got it in a few days and am in the process of trying to figure out all the sounds from this awesome pedal - may take me a while.. Your sales engineer Zac was great, responsive, and ensured me the stock number in your site was correct. Great job Sweetwater!"

Liked it so much, I bought two.

As a point of reference, at lower settings, the 30ms sounds a lot like the Boss Dimension C and there's nothing wrong with that. Mark Lettieri's demo is using it a a stronger setting--still great, but FYI you don't need to go that far into delay if you don't want to.

Where the 30ms differs from the Dimension C is that (a) when run in mono, the 30ms has adjustible reverb on top of the naturally occuring delay (b) the 30ms has a much greater range of adjustment, especially in stereo, (c) in addition to Abbey Mode (that's the big "thing") there is also "Dimension" which is meh, and Slapback which is fine but nothing special. But my golly Robert, that Abbey Mode is somethin.

Here's why I bought 2. If I have the instructions right, and they are minimal, there are actually 4 routes through the pedal. (1) Mono into the pedal, mono out, (2) Mono into the pedal, stereo out, (3) Stereo into the pedal, mono out and (4) Stereo in and stereo out. All 4 of these sound different to me. Problem is, the pedal's mono/stereo selector is internal, so you get the picture. Besides, with 2, you can chain them together. This can get a bit cave-like, but man, it's a big cave. I suppose I could have gotten a Strymon instead and probably should give it a try, but other than those internal switches, the 30ms is free of hidden functions, submenus, firmware, etc, which is great IMO, for such a sophisticated effect.

If I had to choose between the 30ms and the Dimension C, I'd give the nod to the 30ms for it's versatility. But they are both spectacular. 5 stars for the 40ms, 4.999 stars for the Dimension C.

A Country Honk Must have

By JD from Shoals on March 11, 2019 Music Background: just a guitar player

Really shines in Stereo But it's fortes for me is in between a Ventra Vibe and a Keeley Compressor in mono where I was able to remove a Reverb because the Reverb on it is very good. A Chicken picking king setup.
Its not a one trick pony and that's what you want.
Every guitar player needs one, play rhythm behind a compressor and you can just "ride" behind that delay,
its pretty quite, Great tool!

My Keeley Double-Tracker Pedal

By Ken DeWitt from Philadelphia, PA on February 27, 2019 Music Background: Way back to the 60's playing guitar to The Ventures

For the last two years, at least, I have been looking for a way to duplicate the double guitar sounds that The Ventures recorded way back in the 60's. One particular song stuck out in my mind, and that tune is called, "La Bamba." It is on "The Ventures A Go-Go" and "Where the Action Is" albums. I revamped my pedal board over the last weekend which included the installation of this pedal. I also added a second amplifier because the output of this pedal is stereo. So, when I powered up and plugged my Mosrite guitar in, I hit the intro to "La Bamba" and lo and behold...it was like I entered the gates of heaven. The sound I heard was a definite duplicate of their original two-guitars sound. It reverberated from two sides of the room and it sounded just like their recording. Sweetwater, if I ever become famous, we will both go down in History because you provided me the way to re-create this sound and I purchased this pedal from you. You shall forever receive your due credit for this discovery. Oh, one more thing, (A Columbo Moment) the Electro-Harmonix Hum DeBugger I also purchased from you should receive the same amount great criticism. It stopped my Mosrite single-coil hum in its tracks. It was like receiving a double-dose of heaven. I would like to add even one more thing, the MXR Iso-Brick was a big help in re-configuring my pedal board. I will send pictures to Joe James for you all to peruse. I documented everything. I am a very happy Vietnam Veteran Guitarist. Thank You.

Keeley 30ms

By Kpar on February 21, 2019 Music Background: 40 years guitar

Perfect fit for my two amp setup. Love the sound it was exactly what I was looking for. Nice lush fat stereo surround sound. Fills the stage nicely for a single guitar in a three piece band. Plays very well both clean and with overdrive. Be patient setting it up. Try out all mode dip positions, it took me a bit of tinkering to get my sound right but well worth the time to learn. The Double tracking pro mode is a nice compliment to playing in mono all night. Perfect fit.

Keeping my word to Mr Keeley

By Chris from Ohio on January 24, 2019

I got the chance to try this pedal for the first time with Mr Robert Keeley himself at Gearfest 2018, Day 2; I ran into his display where he greeted me, and convinced me to start playing on his setup, and after a short while he turned on this pedal, and I immediately fell in love with the rich chorus and reverb effects and how they had such a seamless blend. He showed it to me in more detail, and I knew I had to replace my current chorus pedal with this one, but I regrettably turned him down at the time, saying that I "will buy this pedal eventually." Now that I own it, I seem to find more cool things about it every time I play it, I love how it has so many options, there was no way he could"ve covered it all in my short time with him. Thank you, Mr Keeley, for talking me into a great pedal, I"m definitely looking into more of them!

Keeley 30ms Double Tracker is Amazing

By Jim Hawkins from Carlsbad, CA on July 4, 2018 Music Background: Advanced Beginner guitar player (I only play for fun!)

I never knew anything about Keeley guitar effects pedals until I watched a YouTube and saw (and heard) it demonstrated. Whoever this Keeley guy is, he is quite an engineer and has masterfully crafted one of the best guitar effects pedals I have ever heard. If you want to play Beatles tunes, or any tunes, from the '60's, this is the pedal of get. You will be blown away by it! Cheers.

Keeley 30 ms Double Tracker - a real kick!

By Steve Pirie from Milton, MA on June 30, 2017

I spent a lot of time watching demo after demo on this pedal - I knew what I was after - so, actually playing it was a super rush. It's in the Slap Back Mode, getting the double track effect, that's the real kick for me. The delay and slap back, too, are very impressive. Dimension and Abbey Modes offer deep, beautiful chorus effects. Within each mode you can dial in tons of variation. It's a great pedal!

This pedal creates beautiful chorus and double tracking blends. The chamber reverb is a rich bonus. Recommend.

Full sounds

This pedal allows me to get the nice full sound that I was looking for through my amp. I also use it into my pre-amp and into the audio interface when I am recording. Well worth the money!

Keeled 30 ms Double Tracker

By Bill C from Greenwood, IN on October 30, 2016 Music Background: Forty-five years playing. 8 years in three regional touring bands.

Have been looking for this effect all my life. When you hear it you will say: "so that's how they did it ". For a reasonable price you can get what took thousands of dollars in the studio. Go stereo with this and get incredible fat tone. I am going with a Marshall DSL 40C and a 67 Fender Super Reverb. It sounds like two completely different guitars coming at you.

Put your favorite overdrive pedal in front of it and stand back for tone Nirvana.

A.J. Bacera was outstanding in helping me with my order. He had it in my hands and on my pedal board the next day. Highly recommend him and Sweetwater !

Useful Pedal

By Jeff from NW INdiana on June 21, 2016 Music Background: 35 + years - Rock/Blues

This is one of those pedals that can be used in many situations. It produces a great sounding "slap back" reverb. It really thickens the sound going into it when used as a doubler, perfect for the studio or stage and it sounds fantastic as a reverb generator. It is one of those pedals that is always on for me in one mode or another. It is well made, easy to use and can be used in "stereo" with the included "Y" adapter if you are running 2 amps as it has internal switching for the stereo mode. Really a great pedal that can be used in multiple ways. Not a one trick pony at all.

Satisfying to my ears

By John from Westchester county NY on September 21, 2019 Music Background: Forty plus year veteran guitar player

Great little pedal, lots of features. It truly does capture the magical sounds produced on Abbey Road. I especially like the double tracker, that"s something I"ve been chasing for a while in my sound. In the past, I simply used a delay pedal, set to the fastest speed. That got me part of the way there, but it never satisfied me like this pedal does. Keeley makes some wonderful stuff, I"ve been using their pedals for many years now. My only minor complaint is the font on the control panel is too small for me to see. I actually took a picture of it and blew it up so that I could reference it as I was become g acquainted with the pedal. Yes, the manual tells you everything you need to know, but it"s not practical to be referencing that while playing in a live setting. If it weren"t for my blurry old eyes, I would call this pedal a ten out ten, for that is the only setback I encountered.

Nice pedal

By John from Westchester County NY on September 13, 2019 Music Background: Playing the guitar for forty years

Nice pedal, fun to work with. It takes a little getting to know, but it definitely hits on all the Beatle sounds that I love so much. My only complaint being fifty five years old is, you"re killing me with the four point font. Hahah I literally needed to take a picture of the pedal and blow it up so I could read all of the print. I get it, it"s a small space to try and apply print to. but it"s a little hard for the old guys to read when it"s that tiny, just saying.

Cool so far

By Sean from Wheeling, WV on September 1, 2019 Music Background: Been playing a long time

So, I just got this pedal, so My review might be a tad premature. Here"s what I know. It does everything it it supposed to do. In mono, it"s a great multi-fix as either a chorus/dimension + reverb (which is a great Reverb) or a slap back dela + Reverb. I"ve gigged with it once with a dual amp rig. I haven"t had a chance to write a song with it yet, so I put in to stereo (blend/dry) mode. Then I used the slap back mode and set it to about 10ms just to give a little separation between the amps. I put it at the end of my effects chain so everything went through before hitting the amps. It sounded great. Well, that"s all I got. Good quality. Oh, by the way, I am not sure how clear it is in the description, but it does come with its own breakout cable, so don"t buy one separately.

That sound

By Sweetwater Customer on October 3, 2017

A little confusing to operate but that also means options. Gets that sound that usually takes 2 or 3 other pedals to get. Beatles, Beatles, Beatles. Happy Birthday to me! Would be nice if it just had 2 outs instead of coming with a splitter cable.

Keeley 30ms DT

By Kpar on January 29, 2019

Keeley has a mono vs stereo demo which is misleading. The "level" control on the 30ms does control the overall volume of output to your amp(s). I am using a Mesa 550 and Fender Hotrod and was looking for the stereo surround sound. It"s does deliver as advertised, however, the 30ms double tracker when engaged removes a small amount (~5%) of volume. Not a big deal but a noticeable difference. I just set my amp volumes with that in mind and use my guitar volume to temper the volume as it gets noticeably louder if turned off. Crank the 30ms level control to max and leave it there, it does add a very rich stereo ambiance to my rig. I use it minimally to add a slight stereo dispersion and it"s quite subliminal, it really sweetened up my sound. Would easily give it 5 Stars except for the level/volume reduction and the Y connector cable for stereo forces it to be at the end of my pedal chain. Both dips switched down, set to dimension mode. Overall very happy, still experimenting with my live sound.

Double Tracking live

By Nathan Shiver on August 16, 2017

Studio double tracking makes your guitar tone huge when you use it live. That's what made this pedal special for me. It has three separate features that can be combined - delay, reverb and an additional voice; actually two in double tracking mode. Here's how I use. After the last pedal in the chain, place a dual channel buffer with two independent outputs. One output feeds your amplifier and the other feeds the double tracker and then the other input channel or another amplifier. This way you have a dry signal path and a wet signal path. You are not compromising your original tone with a digital pedal. Now You can have a 3-D experience with no latency. Use the pedal as the W/D/W complement it was made to recreate.
