Strymon DIG Digital Delay Pedal V2
Strymon DIG Digital Delay Pedal V2 Reviews
When Sweetwater guitarists first got their hands on Strymon's DIG digital delay, they were blown away by its period and tone accuracy, channeling the color and quirks of '80s adaptive delta modulation to squeaky-clean modern 24-bit/96kHz DSP and more. Never one to rest on their laurels, Strymon saw ample opportunity to improve on the original DIG design with several improvements both on and under the surface. To start, the addition of a Tone knob provides a new level of surgical sonic shaping not present in the original, great when needing to fine-tune your sound with a touch of darkness or brightness. Quality-of-life upgrades in the form of a JFET input circuit and an ARM DSP chip improve sound quality with a significant increase in power and clarity, respectively, giving the DIG V2 a thoroughly premium feel with sonic results fit for any studio or stage imaginable. Cascading lines, dynamic ping-pong delays, and more are yours for the taking with the Strymon DIG V2.
One of the best delays I have purchased
This is one of the best delay pedals I have
Purchased. It actually knocked the Halo off the board. I do t need a timeline and 500 options. I also run this dual with a carbon copy and man, it's glorious!
I set the CC on a subtle delay, run a Keeely Omni reverb and when I kick the DIG in, it's heavenly.
It took me a long time to buy this I have too many $ pedals on my board already. This is my second Strymon pedal, I run an iridium to FOH. They make exceptional gear.
Great Features but...
The Dig has some great features like the various subdivision delay times and independent mix controls for the two delay lines. The repeats control does a good job of fading out the two delays at the same time. If you want or need two delay times in one pedal, this is a good option.
It sounds good for precise, "digital" delays but I find it too sterile sounding most of the time. The repeats are almost too accurate to be musical in my opinion. If I had it to do over again, I would have gone with the Brig.
DIG rocks
This is such a beautiful sounding delay. Strymon is the best when it comes to delay and reverb pedals, and the digital delay on my Timeline sounds great, but having the DSP solely dedicated to this one type of delay really makes a difference. It's lush to pristine. Absolutely studio grade. MIDI control is so key, locking right up to MIDI clock.
