Purchase for my son. We are both very happy with the quality craftsmanship of this very well priced guitar. Action, tone, paint, fret work, pickups, all exceed our expectations. Balance of guitar and feel of the neck make this a really fun guitar to jam. 2nd Schecter, won't hesitate to buy a third when ready.

This was not only my first 7 string but also my first Schecter and I was blown away how great it plays, looks, feels, and sounds. The pickups sound amazing and the feel of the neck with the high frets is awesome. The bat in lays are the cherry on top to make this thing a metal monster. I specifically bought this guitar to play Korn and Spiritbox so I had it set up with some heavy gauge strings to handle drop F# tuning which sounds fantastic. Highly recommend this guitar for anyone looking to get a 7 string for a great value that you won't need to upgrade later.

Loved everything about this Schecter that I ended buying an Omen Extreme-6 with some SD pickups that is now my go to guitar. I grew up a Fender guys but I'm all in on Schecter now who makes the guitars exactly for my preference at an unreal value.

perfect action, pickups sound amazing, amazing finish, no sharp frets, neck feels great.

I helped my bud get this guitar through my sales rep Tommy... holy crap this thing outperforms any other guitar in the mid-range $ range. We do special tuning in B Standard on the Low E, and drop to F# standard or lower for drop tuning for what we are playing.

The neck, inlays (beautiful - pics here don't do them justice), pickups (Super hot and not muddied with low tuning), are all insane for the price range.

I'm going to get one for myself, this guitar is absolutely worth the buy for someone just starting on a 7-string, or even for gigging/touring (which is what we're planning on). I originally thought we might need to swap pickups to something hotter, but after hearing it, no need.

Don't sit on the fence, it hurts your butt.

Make sure when you do, you ask for Tommy. He's gotten me EXACTLY what I wanted with each purchase, and I do purchcase a lot.

So far I love it. The body is lite and the jumbo frets help a lot with scale work. For my first seven string. I think this guitar is really good for the aggressive guitar player.

Starting off the neck feels smooth and the strings hold their tune very well. The tone for the deeps are solid granted it is not an active guitar but for the pickups; these are the first Heretic pickups I have played with. Sound really good. They hold deep tones very well and work with a gain pedal very well.

All in all. I love this guitar. Sounds good and it can most defiantly do the brutal deep tones.

Great quality control from Schecter and Sweetwater, I didn't find any problems with the build quality. I only needed to make small changes to the string lengths and truss rod to get it where I wanted it.

The guitar looks just as good, if not better, from the player's POV; the satin black neck and the headstock with black hardware makes my heart quicken every time I pick it up. The build quality really shines with the satin finish as well. This guitar feels very sleek; my sweaty hands still slide across the neck easily.

The pearloid bat inlays are a bit darker than online images might lead you to believe; they don't reflect a ton in normal lighting so they look a bit more gray than white, which goes well the overall aesthetic in my opinion.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the tone pot on this model is actually a push/pull coil-split, which is not specified on this Sweetwater page at time of writing.

Overall I am incredibly happy with my purchase, I highly recommend getting this guitar.

Feels more expensive than it is. Plays very well, great tone. Only problem I've noticed is a bit of neck dive. Everything else is great. Surprisingly lightweight, neck is fast playing and smooth. Tunings hold well too. Definitely recommend as an intermediate guitar.
