Schecter Damien-6 FR SBK Electric Guitar - Satin Black Reviews
For fans of horror films from the late '70s and '80s, you're more than familiar with the name Damien. And like its fictional namesake, the Schecter Damien sows sweet sonic chaos and comes out smiling each time. This solidbody electric guitar is powered by a pair of Schecter Heretic humbucking pickups that create flaming hot tones for rock and metal. The satin-finished mahogany body is incredibly comfortable to play, thanks to deep cutaways, contoured body shape, and thin maple neck. To give you even more expressive playing options, the Damien-6 FR comes with a Floyd Rose Special Hot Rod tailpiece and locking nut. But most of all, the Damien looks every bit as evil as it sounds, thanks to blacked-out hardware and custom Bat fingerboard inlays. If you're ready to take the plunge, the Schecter Damien will give you a playing experience that's hard to put into words.

The Omen you need in your style.
This axe is a beast, from country to blues to rock and metal, it just kicks ***, it's totally worth checking out.
One sick beast!
This guitar is great. It came set up perfect from the factory. There was no fret sprout, the intonation was spot on, the action was nice and low, and there was no finish flaws anywhere. The heretic pickups are very versatile. You can play anything from country to metal on them and they sound great. The Floyd Rose hot rod bridge system will keep your guitar in tune perfect. I cannot recommend this guitar enough. I posted a couple videos on here but there are a couple more on youtube.
Love this guitar, expectations met
I picked this out bc I love playing songs like Alice in Chains which I practice a lot which include a lot of tonal variety as well as heavy distortion. Cantrell used a G&L Rampage model that is out of production, with a Kahler trem bridge, so I made due on my budget with this.
The satin finish reduces pull from hand moisture or handprints. The heretic pickups sound amazing; I play it through a Vox mini modeling amp into headphones because a mini modeling amp obviously isn't going to do much for loud hi gain settings through the speaker. The coil split sounds wonderful and has a huge contrast when played clean on the neck pickup versus clean non-split bridge. The pickup and splitting options allow you to sound up close and loud or distant and gentle. It creates a huge range of tones.
The only thing I'm not so fond of is that the trem bar fits into a slot on the bridge and can dangle back and forth or even fall out of the bridge. This seems like a questionable design choice to me but I don't know if that's normal or not. I might consider replacing the bridge with an official FR altogether if it will fix this.
Either way, I love playing it and feel it was the right choice for me.
