Sounds great, but it does not have a monitor angle as advertised.
The tech specs here says: "Mounting Options:
Pole, Floor Wedge, Fly." No, not wedge! I owned the original DXR8, and sold it only because it didn't have a floor monitor angle. I bought the MKII because I thought it did, but it also doesn't. I just have no clue the reason Yamaha would do that. Especially since it has a "monitor" setting that reduces low freqs when used as a floor monitor. Anyway, I'm just complaining. Just want to make sure if you are going to buy it, you know that, just like the original, it doesn't have a floor monitor angle. It does, however, sound great!

I'm very impressed by these little 8" speakers. I would even venture to compare them to the QSC k10.2's that I've used in the past. In my testing thus far they get plenty loud for smaller setups. 100 cap events this works great for. From what I can hear they remain very clear even when pushing them a bit. I like the DSP functions and pairing this with the DXS12 is a no brainer for great low end. Though with the cross over turned off on this it still produces a really reasonable amount of low end for an 8" speaker. So far I'm loving these!
