The DWSM2141X assembly includes an innovative hoop clamping mechanism with a patented V-clamp, a 1/2" Z arm with two memory locks, and a 1" quick-release dog biscuit. I love this hardware. Took a minute to get it right and is perfect.
DW Clamp for a stand
I use this clamp for my hihat stand. When I decided that I wanted double kick drum, the hihat needs to be close to the kick pedal. This clamp suggests to raise the legs up before assembling the clamp.This is so you don't have to purchase another hihat stand(2 legged) or less. With the legs raised, I found it was slightly off and not close enough to the hoop of the kick, so i took off one of my legs and it fit great. All you have to do it drill out the rivit and the legs comes off from the stand. If you want to re-use the leg, simply take a screw and wing nut and you back to the 3 legs...
Very disappointed
Works great other than the fact that it damaged my bass drum hoop. NOT HAPPY AT ALL RIGHT NOW WITH DW. Claw is too narrow and it digs into the hoop splitting the wood.
