I've always had a question on how much I enjoyed chain driven and always remember my love of my old Ludwig speed king. When I first saw this Direct Drive I had a moment of nostalgia. Now after playing it for about 2 weeks now, AMAZING and PERFECT are the words I need to use.

Hello and good day! My name is Dave, I also go by cactus. I hail from the Four Corners,NM. My Dad and Mom were playing at a gig, when my mom went into labor while she was playing the drums, was rushed to hospital and Poof, I popped out with a pair of sticks in my hands.So there I was one day, behind my kit, with the DW 9000 Double kick pedal. I have ran miles upon miles,and years upon years with that pedal. I was curious a few weeks ago about what exactly is a Machined Direct Drive Pedal after reading a drummers interview that mentioned the Trick V1 Black Widow Double Kick. Whooa, Gnarley! I was bound and determined to get one. I emailed Sweetwater Music with a few questions and left my phone as well. The very next day I received a phone call from the most kind, down to earth groovy Kat that assisted me through each and every question I could come up with. His name is Zac Coleman, and Bravo to SweetWater for hiring such in tune team members. Zac told me about the new DW Machined Direct Drive Pedals. The tug began. I love my DW 9000 but if I was going to invest a significant amount of money on a pair of new pedals, I really wanted to even try a different brand, (the Trick Pedals),that I never heard of before.I told Zac that I had to chew between the two and then pic. Well I didn't have to chew long and called him the next day. I decided to go with the DW Machined Direct Drive Double Kick. Let me just say this,
"My Daddy Was A Pistol,
But I'm A Sun Of A Gun"! Ooo0h Wholey Burnt Burrito, these pedals are literally the cats Meeeoow! Zac shared that if I wasn't fully happy with the DW's, that I could do an exchange for the Trick's. But. It didn't even come to that. When I installed these marvelous works of wonder, it became mutual love at first sight, sound and feel. I felt like a hummingbird flying. These DW's are built ready for WW III, 4 and five.They are splendid. You are able to adjust to your hearts content. It's as if you think about hitting the pedal to the kickdrum, it already did 10 times. Imagine if DW built race cars. Well take care everyone and always share good groove. May the Beats Be With You!!
