Work Horse
I bought my 1st DW 5000 Double bass pedal in 1998... A couple months ago I snapped the heel hinge.. I got the part and fixed it but my wife surprised me with a New DW 5000 Turbo Double Bass pedal and I'm in love! That's 27 YEARS, 27 Years that first DW 5000 latest me, and heck, it's Still good... The DW 5000 Petal is a Work Horse!!

The DW5000 is the workhorse of pedals. You have two versions bases off sensitivity. I prefer the turbo. Can't go wrong with DW.
An Industry standard for a good reason.
With the market flooded with all types of classic pedals to the newest of fancy type pedals it can be a bit tough trying to decide on a particular pedal, nevertheless Christian at Sweetwater came through with the helpful advice and his opinion on this industry staple in the line of pedals, especially double pedals.
I can see why the 5000's still Reign supreme even with their updated models such as the 9000 and their direct drive ones which I'm sure is the cream of the crop. The 5000's are perfect in every way in my opinion. Smooth, powerful and built like a tank. If you are thinking about the 5000 single or double you will for a fact not be disappointed.
Dw + sweetwater= awesome
I play on both the accelerator and the turbo double pedals. I feel that the accelerator has a bit of pop to it and more power. This one however is way more responsive and a little more controlled but had a little less speed, the compromise u take. I still play a lot of faster stuff though and this is worth every bit of the money! Also sweetwater had their stuff together they kick butt and are the industry standard thank Ryan and everyone I talked to about this. You will be more than satisfied with these pedals and the service. Also made it to my house in two days which is pretty sweet!
