Amazing DI! A+
I got my type 85s in the mail yesterday. I must comment on this awesome DI. I was blown away, and that"s pretty hard to achieve!! I tested it with my backing tracks and it sounds incredibly musical. This DI definitely saturates when pushed in such a pleasing way. It has pristine pace, rhythm and timing; it creates a soundstage for the listener/player that allows one to really feel out syncopated parts. It presents multi tracks beautifully to the ear, easier to hear complex arrangements. Highly recommend for dance music. The sweetwater sales reps I spoke to didn"t know much about his piece, kept guiding me towards Radial but I"ve been using Radial for a long time and was ready for a change.
ONLY DI BOX YOU WILL EVER NEED
This is my first two channel Countryman but I have had two of the single channel units previously. My son and daughter-in-law now have those units. They play out every weekend and needed a good DI BOX to go direct to the house systems where they play. After hearing my gear thru the Countryman 85 they understood the need for them. I now run this two channel Countryman 85s in a stereo format and it sounds wonderful. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? You bet!!!
Solid as a Rock
Accommodating nearly every line input connector under the sun (save bare wire terminals), this box is a great member of the kit!
Looks to be just what I needed.
Unfortunately, by the time I got it, I had already bought a lesser unit to finish the job. But, on the positive side, next time I will have the right equipment for the job. Let's all hope for productive future.
