Just the ticket
I now truly recognize the benefits of good commercial grade earphones. Loved my Bose consumer earphones but the the broad frequency response of these DT770's enable me to hear a much broader range of tones.
I'm using them for music production critical listening training and they are perfect.
Amazing sound quality, incredibly sturdy
I bought these a little over a year ago and they still sound just as good as when I first bought them. I'm not any sort of musician, I just use these for gaming so I'm a little rough with my headphones and they still sound amazing. When I initially bought them they arrived the next day, which was really nice. My only complaint is that I have really long hair and sometimes it gets caught where the ear muffs meet the metal swivel. Well worth the price!
Great Over Ear Experience for Electric or Acoustic Guitar
These fit comfortably over the ear, meaning completely over the ear, which is fantastic. Now ear fatigue from headphones resting partially on my ears isn't a problem. They feel plush and block out most outside noise. They sound fantastic for listening to music, but I got these mainly to pair with my Charvel or Martin, through a Boss Katana Head or Supro Delta King 12 and they work so good that it's not a problem going to them anytime I feel like playing but don't want to be heard across the house. They sound just about as good as the amps and I can pick up on the harmonics and nuances much better than previous headphones I have tried. No high treble or overly hard bass. Just a nice mix that sounds like what the amp sounds very very close to what an amp sounds like in the room without headphones. The cord is clever, having the 3/4" jack, and a screw on mini jack underneath so that you can keep them handy together. Nice bag with draw string to keep them safe when packing them up in a suitcase or backpack.
Comfortable for hours in the booth!
I record audio books from home, and my old headphones got a short... bought these on the recommendation of Learning Ally (the org I volunteer for) and LOVE them!
Simply the best
Amazing headphones. Great frequency response across the spectrum. My go to for music creation but you may need something a little flatter for mastering.
Great
I use for tracking and mixing.
Can't go wrong
Average Beyerdynamic I feel like Im a german
Good Headphones
I have owned may headphones. So far, these DT 770 250 Ω, are the best I've had in this price range. They isolate very well from outside sound and are very clear and true.
The most comfortable headphones I've ever used
I have another set of headphones from another manufacturer that perhaps has SLIGHTLY better quality for fidelity, but the DT 770s cannot be matched for comfort. I guess I have unusual ears? I'm not sure, but...after about an hour most headphones hurt one or both of my ears and they turn red from the stress. With the 770s this never happens. I've worked more than 12 hours straight without having any physical or mental fatigue from wearing these. The fidelity and clarity of sound is in the top 0.5% of all headphones. Anything from meetings to demanding mixing/balancing work...these headphones punch WELL above their weight (and price).
The comfort makes them worth the cost of admission alone. The fidelity makes them one of the only two pairs of headphones I reach for in my studio.
DT-770 pro
I can wear these for hours! Sound quality is exceptional.
You can't go wrong with these!
Hard to go back to other Headphones after having used these.
The most comfortable headphones I have wore in my life. You can wear them for hours without any ear pain. It helps when your room is not the most acoustically treated to have some headphones that will give you an honest representation of the audio source. They are EXCELLENT for making mixing decision, long recording sessions, and for listening to your favorite songs while having them connected to your audio interface.
Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro Headphones
I love the sound quality of these!
AMAZE-!
My wife got these for me for VD. Surprise! I work in radio, popped them on and DAY-UM! I could hear Barbra Streisand swallow in the song "People". So light and comfy. I didn't think I would ever find a headset to rival my old Sony MDR's that they don't make anymore, but these blow those out of the water. And I've been in the industry for 38 years. Recommend greatly.
These are awesome!
5eyre great headphones for monitoring and adding vocals tracks. I've had no bleed problems and they can work on weaker output signals (watching YouTube on ipad was fine and using them on my Scarlett 2i2 without an amp was ok) but they really shine when you get them the power they need from a higher output device or a headphone amp. I'm super pleased.
Great cans
Had these for about two weeks now to replace my aging KRK's. The bass is spot on, the sibilance is a bit expressive, but honest thru most monitors and speakers. Very comfortable. The coiled cable sucks, but that's easily fixed with an extension. Love these babies!
The best.
Not only do they sound great, Beyerdynamic seems to be the only headphone maker offering 3 levels of impedance on most models so one can match them to the device they are plugged into... making them sound even better... more accurate.
Literally the Best Headphones I've ever purchased
I'm honestly blown away with this whole experience, when I ordered these headphones I got a personal call from someone at Sweetwater letting me know that my order was on the way, and If I needed any help to please call him and let him know. When the package arrived there was a BAG OF CANDY in the box with this headset from Sweetwater and I was shocked and amazed that they did that. A bag of candy is a small thing to give but when has a company ever sent you complimentary candy with a product? Definitely not amazon. Besides my wonderful experience with Sweetwater, I can safely say out of the 8+ headphones I've bought over the years, these are the best one's I've ever used. Absolutely no comparison. There's a chance there's something better out there, but I certainly cant find a pair of headphones better than these. ESPECIALLY for under 150 these headphones are phenomenal. 10/10 would recommend these headphones to anyone, and I'll make sure they know to order from Sweetwater.
Great purchase
These things are so close to being the same response as my monitors, very nice!
Sound great
Aside from sounding great, these are well-made headphones that look like they will hold up well over time. Very comfortable for me also.
Long time user
AKG and Sony have always been crap compared to these since their creation almost 20 years ago. The 250ohm have more headroom and punch vs the 80ohm if you have any decent headphone amp on an interface etc. I have the 990 open ones too and I actually prefer these closed because they're what headphones are supposed to sound like. They make oem and aftermarket cushions you can wash which is cool for heavy use. I don't know the market outside of this price range except for consumer buds and cans. I've had every generation of apple AirPods and Bose over eras and like them for what they do. If you want accurate sound then just buy these. Thanks SW and J Kees my sales rep.
Solid!
I got these to use with my Apollo Twin Duo. My intentions were to use these for tracking & doing light mixing with them in my apartment.
They were pretty quiet due to the 250 ohm level. I highly suggest getting an headphone amp to pair this to boost the audio level. I ended getting a little Mackie headphone amp to help with resolve my issue.
Overall, these headphones are solid.
Wow...
Honestly, the best headphones I've ever used. Built for comfort and the sound is accurate and great.
Phenomenal
Great for creating and mixing. Extremely comfortable.
A Great Pair of Headphones
Incredibly comfortable with a perfect sound for monitoring or for luxurious everyday use.
Compact. Comfortable. Clear.
As a voice actor, I am constantly in and out of my booth, and from experience, lots of headphones feel different each time to put them on.
Some get loose over time, some have ear cups that never seem to sit the right way.
Others are huge with way too much going on in, especially in the headband.
These came recommended by several actors who, like me, spend hours going from booth to desk and back again.
DT 770s are compact, comfortable and clear, with zero bleed, even during my loudest of voice acting sessions.
Like most Beyerdynamics
One only needs to notice the name brand to know the quality inherent in these cans. Sounds are clear and they are extremely comfortable. This is not my only set.
Amazing
I love it not too much technical jargon to express. Buy it, Use it and learn to love it. You won't regret it. The only thing is to make sure you use a headphone amp or else, It is going to sound a little low, Or maybe that's just me loosing my hearing IDK.
Great
Fast, simple, and 100% reliable. I go to reviews before ordering and seen other sketchy sites selling the same product. Well I've shopped here once before and wasn't disappointed! Even got a little goodie bag of candy (: Definitely shopping here for all my needs
Once a Audio Technica Fanatic, now a Beyerdynamic believer!
Once a skeptic, now a believer in the Beyerdynamic DT770's! I've been using Audio Technica M50X's for over 10 years, and didn't take the plunge in the Beyerdynamic ecosystem until now. The soundstage, low end control, and added crispness in the top end is what impressed me the most, as well as the comfort and lack of ear fatigue I am experiencing after hours of listening time. I have been missing out on great sound quality for years and wish I hopped on the train sooner...
Contrary to what a lot of reviews online are saying, the higher ohm 770's work surprisingly well through your smartphone, without needing an amp (specifically on the iPhone). If you are an apple user and want some extra control over the loudness/signature of your music through your phone, make sure to use Spotify's built in EQ and adjust to your liking, raising the overall dB level, as well as any other adjustments needed. If any of you reading this are on the fence, believe the hype, they sound awesome!
Lastly, I want to thank my sales engineer Dan for his help on my order and getting it to me so quickly. Always appreciate your help, and I look forward to buying from you in the future!
Sweet Cans!
I have a Helix and was using some older Shure headphones with low impedance. Before I got the Helix, they sounded fine plugged into my Scarlett interface. However, when I got the Helix with the high output, they sounded terrible. After researching, I discovered that I needed headphones with at least 96 ohm impedance. I read the reviews of these 250 ohm cans, and decided to take the plunge. Glad I did! These are awesome!
Best Closed Back Headphones
I have been using DT 770 Pros for more than a decade as my primary studio headphones. These are simply the best. Incredibly comfortable, and ideal sound reproduction for critical listening. I record, edit, and master video based training so every nuance of the voice is critical for my work and the DT 770 Pro as simply the best headphones for this work.
I have two sets of the ear pads and swap them out as needed for cleaning, usually about once a year. The large ear cups and soft pads are quite simply the most comfortable headset I've used, and I've tried a lot of them over the years. The closed back nature of the 770 can get hot if the ambient air temp gets too high, but that is to be expected.
I just replaced the set of 770 I've used since 2015 with a new set when I transitioned the old set to another station in my studio. Love these things!
DT770 250 ohm: terrific !
I just ordered a second pair of these. Excellent ambient sound isolation, very clear, detailed sound. Very comfortable, good fit for my large noggin. Very high quality construction.
I have one setup where I'm using these with a headphone amp for critical music listening. Also using them with my Yamaha P-125 piano, plenty of volume and excellent sound with the piano.
Great value
These headphones are a solid buy couldn't have asked for better
perfect
amazing sound quality and the most comfortable headphones i've ever owned
Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 Mixing Headphones
Great comfort and sound.
Excellent Performance
I love these headsets. Great fit, super comfortable and well built. Very satisfied.
So far they're pretty good, noise doesn't bleed through
I tried these out doing a little recording. I had a metronome going to keep me on time and usually when I record a scratch track with my old headphones on you can hear the metronome bleed through to the recording. Not with these! I'm definitely recording with these from now on because there I can't hear any metronome coming through it at all. I could even use this as a regular track instead of a scratch track if I wanted to.
Plus I appreciate that it has real cloth velour on the ear pads. My old ones have vinyl that keeps flaking off bit by bit until there's nothing left. I've even put different ear pad covers on them and they do the same thing. Picture listening to your headphones for a while and then having little bits of black vinyl stuck to your face near your ear. So I like the cloth covers on these. Just hope they don't get too dirty and icky after a while.
Love this company and my headphones!
I purchased these headphones and I love them so much! I had open back and realized I really needed closed back. Such great headphones! Also, the customer service is outstanding and shipping was fast! My item was packaged very well and customer service even called me to make sure I received my item and If I needed help or had any questions about the item. What a bonus! I came from another site I used to purchase from and sweetwater has really shown a boost in satisfaction! Plus what is even more awesome! THEY HAVE EVERYTHING! I don't have to skip to another site to find something and have separate confusing orders. So great! Will order again and most recommended!
I was living a lie before this headphones
This headphones tells me the truth about my mixing. Now I can make accurate decisions
Great Product, Great Customer Service
Headphones work amazing and customer service was spot-on. No issues. I would definitely recommend to a friend. Thank you!
If you are into detail
I have owned these and a pair of the 80ohm. This is my third pair of the 250ohm and they never disappoint. If you are looking to hear detail in your mixing and mastering, these are the bad boy cans to have. Hands down performance on many levels.
250 ohm DT-770 Headphones
Bought these "Closed Ear" DT-770s as I really like my "Open Ear" DT-990s. Both are outstanding IMO.
Impressed by the sound quality and comfort!
Being a long time user/supporter of the SHURE studio quality headphone line, I was curious about the difference in sound quality of BEYERDYNAMIC. I must say that not only is the sound comparable, but may actually even surpass that of my best set of SHUREs.
Regarding the comfort level, I tend to do marathon-length sessions. While my SHUREs are comfortable, after several hours they tend to weigh a bit heavy on my head. Not so with the BEYERDYNAMICs, these seem virtually weightless after several straight hours of rehearsing, recording and mixing.
Great cans
Got these specifically for tracking days in the studio, and they are very well-suited for that application. True sound, enough isolation to tame the volume of our loud rock drummer banging away in the same room, lightweight yet sturdy, and super comfortable. I've come to appreciate them also for mixing and casual listening as well. They are officially my all-around, go-to headphones.
A new favorite
Hear what you have been missing. What clarity! I Love Music all over again.
The reputation alone says it all.
Simple packing with a good reputation and the quality shows these headphones feel and sound sweet!.
Great, classic headphones from the best place to buy gear!
Very balanced headphones - almost too clear and honest sounding!! but really no such thing...
5 stars for sweetwater too...Inventory is great, shipping is super fast, customer service is above and beyond. They basically called me just to say hi... lol love sweetwater
The second choice
I am amazed by the first touch of the quality, once I putting them on I knew I made the right choice with the Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 250 ohm headphones. Instantly being able to feel a difference in what I could hear being lifted in the idea of creating new music, I was excited and thrilled. Now feeling that audio-technica M40x were child's play and only with a hundred dollar difference. Trust me you will be pleased!
Awesome!
Very comfortable to wear, very revealing sound. The bass is extended but not bloated, highs are clear and not fatiguing. I prefer these over my previous headphones, AKG K240's. I highly recommend these headphones.
Perfect reference and tracking headphones
As long as you have the power to drive this version of the DT770s, they are fantastic. The soundstage is very detailed and even provides somewhat of a phantom center. Additionally, the low end is very audible but doesn't shake your head and overwhelm anything else in the mix (given that it is actually balanced). I also cannot say enough about the comfort of these headphones. The earcups are deep, so the only parts making contact with your head are the very soft pads and the headband, not the front of the drivers. Very happy with my purchase!
Needed
I didn't know how much I needed the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 in my life. I have been using Sony Pro MDR-7506 for some time. They worked great and I was very happy with them. But it felt like it was time for a bit of an upgrade. I bought the Pro 250's not expecting too much of a difference. I was wrong. Extremely helpful. I feel much more confident in my mixing. I wish I didn't wait so long to order them.
Phenomenal upgrade
Bought this as a gift for my wife who is a singer/vocalist for use in her home studio and she could not be happier with them.
Love These Cans!
I was hesitant to purchase the 250 ohm version but am really glad I did! If you have enough juice to power them properly, they sound awesome! They are also extremely comfortable, plenty of room in the cup and the clamping force is just right for me with the ears extended all the way. (Hat size 7 5/8) Definitely recommend!
just super for mixing
just super for mixing
All you hear about this guy is true!
Love them and all the reviews and praises are true and accurate!
Accurate, comfortable, immersive
I bought this 250ohm first and really love the sound. I also own the 80 and 32 ohm versions for when I'm not at my desk with my audio interface that can drive them. The replaceable ear cups are the most comfortable I've ever worn. I just put a new set on and had forgotten that they do take a little bit of time to wear in, but not much. Once you've worn them for a short while, they almost feel like they're not on.
I have severe hearing loss in one ear and recently paired them with Sonarworks SoundID beta which can flatten them even further as well as compensate for hearing loss live.
Hope this helps someone.
Accurate and Comfortable
If you're even thinking about these, pull the trigger. These things are accurate, comfy, and translate very well. I bought these for general studio use, and to reference low-end (my monitors don't go below 45hz and my studio space is really too small for a sub). Low end is detailed, not hyped, and if you use these for mixing your low end will translate extremely well to other sources. I wore them tonight for a tracking and editing session - 6 hours, and was super comfortable the whole time. A couple of weeks ago I mixed and mastered a track for my daughter's YouTube channel, and it turned out awesome. These cans helped me detect the issues with some low end rumble, and the overall tonal balance that I couldn't catch on my monitors.
I absolutely love them, and they exceeded my expectations. Just do it.
Great product!
I love my DT770 Pro (250 OHM) I produce music with it everyday and can highly recommend it. Sweetwater having the best deal as well and great service!
Great Value & Performance
Great phones! Great price!
Absolutely love these headphones
Very comfortable to wear and listen to. Exceptionally clear sound
Most comfortable studio headphones I’ve found.
In addition to being very comfortable, they don't color the sound, quite neutral.
Have bought all three models in Byerdynamic's DT PRO line.
DT 770 PRO closed back
DT 880 PRO semi-open back
DT 990 PRO open back
Love them all. Great value for money, too
Studio users should get the PRO series. The others appear to be for home audio.
These are THE BAR when it comes to headphones!
U need an interface or an headphone amp for the 250 ohm. But these are perfect. Legendary headphones. I doubt I'll get any others.
Excellent
Excellent , Make sure for 250 ohm need Headphones Amplifier. Great for Studio Mixing
Exactly what I hoped for
After doing some research and comparison between a few different headphones, I decided on picking up a pair of DT 770s and it was absolutely perfect! The soundstage it brings is phenomenal and the overall tone that these headphones provide is exactly what I was looking for. I could not be more pleased with these headphones!
Great for mixing
Until I can upgrade my home studio speaker setup, these are working well for mixing reference. Super flat and clear, and comfortable to wear for long periods. Super happy with them so far.
Great for tracking
These are very comfortable headphones and they solved the problem I had of background music leaking into the microphone or my guitar/bass pickups while tracking parts. Solidly made and confidence inspiring.
Amazing headphones for a great price
These headphones are great. The sound is incredible and they are so comfortable to wear. It's a steal for the price they go for.
love the range and even-ness of these
I had a pair of these years ago, and remembered that they were great. I needed some for mixing home recording projects. These do that job wonderfully. They have extended response, so you year the lowest low and the highest low, but they aren't like some consumer cans where those frequencies are pushed to the sacrifice of the others. The response across frequencies is even to my ears. Also, with the foam pads, they are comfortable to wear for long periods, which is great when going down the rabbit-hole of tweaking/mixing. I now also use them with 2 other pieces of gear direct: a Strymon Iridium pedal and a Roland MC-707 Groovebox. Both pieces of gear sound amazing with them. The Iridium, with some stereo delay & reverb, sounds just ridiculous in these. They would be worth it for that use alone.
DT 770 PRO 250 ohm Headphones
Three words explains it. (Simply love them).
Man I Love These! 2nd Pair & Comparison with ATH-M50
I had a pair of these years ago that I purchased from Sweetwater and loved them. They were my only pair of cans. They got stolen from a lecture hall at school so I replaced them with some ATH-M50s. The M50s are alright, they always sounded a bit hyped and 2 dimensional to me and they're also super uncomfortable to wear for long sessions, as well as feeling kinda cheap/flimsy. My ATH-M50's just broke (right channel stopped working.)
To give more background, I also own a pair of Sennheiser HD600s (INCREDIBLE CANS), but need a set of closed back cans for tracking and working with artists. I think any serious producer should own a nice set of open back cans and a nice set of closed back cans as they both have their different strengths and weaknesses.
I found a great deal on some used DT770s and I'm so glad to have another pair of these. They feel like a major upgrade over my ATH-M50's both in terms of build quality (made in Germany of course), comfort (miles ahead of the ATH-M50's) and the sound is amazing rivaling my HD600s with a slightly different set of strengths. Being closed back, they don't sound as natural or "open" as the HD600s, but they are extremely detailed, truthful and perfect for critical listening or tracking.
TL;DR -- If you're deciding between these and the ATH-M50 for your next pair of closed back phones, I'd strongly recommend spending the extra $30-40 to get these. It's no comparison in my book.
A Classic
Not much can be added to what many, many people have already said. Those are a classic and for a reason. Not only do they offer excellent isolation and long wear comfort, but they sound extremely accurate and will reveal any issue during tracking and/or mixing. This new pair replaced an old set I had lost during a move. I truly felt I was missing something until I replaced them :)
Comfortable and sensitive
I got these really not knowing anything about the higher impedance....I'm glad I went with them....they require, for me and my old ears anyway, a little more monitor volume than another, cheaper brand that I have, but I'm cool with that....these are so much more comfortable and clear....complete silence except for the signal.....I can wear them and not even notice they are on my head....just spot on at all frequencies....if I ever have to get another set of headphones, I'll go with these again....
What a difference
I have been using Sennheiser Silver 280 HD Pro 64 ohm headphones for 6 years. They have always sounded good, and I thought they were pretty transparent. they always felt a bit tight, but kinda got used to the squish.
The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 ohm closed-back headphones are extremely comfortable and lightweight. the velour covers on the ear cups make them nice and cool against your skin, and well the sound, pure clean transparent.
Top notch headphones
Great headphones! Old school headphones! Great price with here with Sweetwater! Perfect with a portable amp like FiiO Mont Blanc! Hear the small stuff, like no other! Highly recommend!!
Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 250 ohm
Flat / Comfortable / Flexible, all around great sound
Fantastic sound
This can consume lots of power. Fiio E10 was not enough, so I had to raise up high gain in the back of Fiio, Case by case, I use Bass-on and off in the front panel of Fiio so that I can hear sound-effect of Piano pedal and touch. After 3 weeks aging, this can sounds fantastically in every field of music, and sounds quite realistically for all kinds of music with great sound stages and illusion of real concert. One thing I notice is the line is too sensitive, so I had to try many ways not to hear extra noise through the coiled line. That said this Can has extreme sensitivity - THAT IS GOOD IF WE CAN CONTROL IT.
Great Headphones, Great customer service
It's pretty simple, I do a fair amount of research before buying my gear. I discovered that these headphones were Highly rated so I got a pair for working around my studio. I love them. they sound incredible and serve my needs.
More importantly I bought them from Sweetwater. My experience with them over the past 10 or more years has been fantastic. I honestly feel like I have a friend in the music business. My sales rep mike is someone who has gone above and beyond many times and has always responded to my questions I am a loyal Sweetwater customer. I don't just give my loyalty easily, they have earned it. Thanks Sweetwater!
DT770pro 250ohm
Thanks to Chris Lewis, I have exchanged M50x to DT770 pro. I just open it and listen to Schuman symphony 4 by Sawallish recording. Though it is new, I immediately realized I could hear all orchestra sound on master score. And sound quality is absolutely high as if I were conductor of this music. I will get much better sound in a week, then I will check it with my old Senheiser 598 special edition. If anybody wants to hear more Orchestra sound and String sound, I really recommend you to listen Byer dynamics headphones rather than others. I used Fiio E10K with 770Pro and got sound very stable.
Studio Mixing Headphones
The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 are the best headphones I've ever owned, they are very comfortable and the sound quality is awesome.
A Space Odyssey
Best sound I have ever experienced. Clean and crisp. I can hear things in the music I never heard before.
Great Studio Headphones
I Love these studio headphones, the quality in audio is amazing, with these headphones i can listen to details in a song and capture the emotion and colors of a song. This is how music was meant to be heard in headphones. This will make mixing alot easier for me now that I can audibly capture the details and colors of my recordings. Great headphones highly reccomend them.
Too good.
Replaced Sennheiser hd280"s with these and i"ll Never look back.
Beyerdynamic Dt 770 80 ohms headphone follow up
This is follow up to last review of the 250 ohm version . Returned them and just received my
new 80 ohm version. Awesome sound. Only reason I returned the 250ohms is because of the coiled cable. Product specs said replaceable. Misleading as it is hard wired. I needed straight cable and I don"t dissect electronics.
Beyerdynamic should not use replaceable without letting you know it had to be dissected to do it. Operative word is detachable. Service by Sweetwater always the best . Been w them 15 years and Paul Allen the best rep.
I use these for piano only. And for recording really pristine sound. Although I use a headphone amp it actually works well w my I phone and I pad ( turn volume up).

Great Headphones
Tracking and mixing these are the best I have ever used. Even headphones 3 times the price these hands down win the prize!
Great headphones
For this price range, these are the best studio headphones out there. Sure there are better headphones but... this is a beast. Anyone with a helix or anything like it would be a fan of this too. Works great with it
DT 770 Pro
I actually have to take these headphones off to check the environment around me. I hear all of the subtle bass and high end sounds. I can not hear much pass the headphones. I received my headphones in a super timely manor from Sweetwater and thank them from every aspect of professionalism that they provide.
I really like these headphones
For the cost, I don't think you can find a better pair. Sure there are superior cans, if you are willing to spend at least $700 and more. If your in the business, you need a pair of up-scale headphones, but you also need a set for regular mortals as well. These really are a good pair of phones. This is my first purchase of this model and I based my purchase decision on industrial spy techniques --- I read the comments and reviews of Sweetwater peoples. Seriously, I do put trust in what Sweetwater has to say. Call Chris Barry, he will hook you up and he is a really good guy plus he knows his business and just to put a little icing on the cake, he is a graduate of the school I wished I once had the courage to attend, none other than Berklee School of Music (The Harvard of Commercial & Contemporary Music). Buy yourself a pair, I really think you will be glad, but speak to Sweetwater first.
Amazing
Amazing headphones, couldn"t be more happy.. As always sweetwater delivered as promised.
Think I'll Get More
I've owned many… headphones in my small studio, but these are in a class by themselves. My studio clients love them and I love them for monitoring, tracking, and basic mixing. Build quality appears excellent. Very comfortable. I see Beyerdynamic headphones in many studios for a reason. Considering the price, these are probably the best on the market. One day I hope to have their high-end models.
Greatest! BEYERDYNAMIC DT 770 Pro 250 0hm
The BEYERDYNAMIC DT 770 Pros are very good headphones. It's interesting to note that the BEYERDYNAMIC company in Germany was the first to offer a high fidelity headphone in the world. It was the DT-48. ( I have a pair of these and they still sound fantastic. ) The new DT 770s are very well designed and comfortable to wear while doing monitoring work.. I just switched from the SENNHEISER HD-280s to the BEYERDYNAMIC DT 770 Pros and haven't looked back. Get yours today. You will really like them a lot.
beyerdynamic dt770 250 ohm
so clear its high def for your ears ....the only thing i would say is that my mix sounds SO GOOD in these but then when played thru the monitor not quit as crisp ,
Awesome headphones
I needed a replacement set of headphones and these took care of my checklist with ease. A closed back design without sounding boxy in the midrange is important for the work I do as a broadcast mixer. They also have to have great isolation and overall clarity throughout the frequency range. In short, they are really awesome for their price point. Joel Helton is an awesome sales engineer!
Really great headphones!!!
Really love my new headphones!! If you're looking for a great sounding set of headphones, look no further!! These are the best set that I have used. Great bass response and great mids and highs!!! Very, very comfortable also!!! I would definitely recommend these to everyone!!! Thanks CJ for helping me pick them out!!!
awesome headphones
these are literally the best headphones i have ever had!! The clarity & depth will blow u away,i practice guitar with these connected to my orange 35rt amp with my i-pad playing songs through them & it's like being in the band man,yes these are the bomb!!!!!! Thanks Sweetwater & to my sales engineer Tommy Winter!! You guys are the best,Sweetwater for life Steve
PERFECT FOR MIXING
THESE HEADPHONES ARE GREAT THEY ARE LIGHT AND GIVE A FLAT FREQ RESPONSE WITH NO ENHANCED MID RANGE SO YOUR MIX IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU HEAR.
HARD TO BEAT
I have been on a quest for awhile to find a set of headphones with a soundstage that comes very close to approximating a good set of open back reference headphones such as the AKG K 712's or some of the other higher end open back reference headphones I like but refuse to pay for. I have spent twice the price of these while looking for this sound. I have sent more than a few sets right back to where I bought them because frankly they sucked at twice the price for me and I'm talking Shure, Sennheiser and AKG models that indeed cost much more than these so I was dubious when I received these as I had tried the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros and didn't like them at all. These however are a completely different headphone than those I am happy to say. I mostly use the ATH M50X's to track with. I can't explain it but I love those for tracking. However when it comes to mixing they don't approximate what I hear through my monitors as much as I would like so I was looking for a set that I could mix with and better approximate what my monitors sound like as my monitors always get me the rest of the way there on any mix. With my home studio being what it is I have to pick times to use my monitors sparingly and when I do I at least want to be close on my headphone mix so I can get whatever I am mixing done on my monitors as efficiently as possible. Open backs for me around here is a distraction. Finally this is the set that allows me to do everything I need them to do. You can get all the specs from this site but what those specs won't tell you is what a wonderful sound stage these headphones have or just how close they sound to a great set of open back headphones. I was really amazed. Great crisp response on all levels. They are made well. They sound tight. Nothing flutters. Everything clean distinct and in frequencies that cover it all well without being sterile. These sound closest to the AKG K 712's and how Beyerdynamics did that with a closed back headphone I do not know but the fact is that they did. This set may not be as flat as some headphones I've tried but they are less colored and more defined than my ATH M50X's and my first mix down after burning these in came down to a matter of minor tweaks when I went to my studio monitors. The Beyerdynamic DT 770's are a great set of headphones that rival ones that cost twice the price in my humble opinion. I cannot imagine anyone not being pleased with these. My quest is over!
Clean, Comfortable, Light, Perfect
Notes in the frequency range have all been very clean. The fit surrounding the ear is comfortable, and the headphones are lighter than the others in the studio. One thing I've done with all of my headphones to increase over-the-head comfort is buy a seat belt shoulder pad at Walmart and wrap it around the headpiece. It's a perfect fit, comfortable, and keeps the head dry during long mixing sessions. The phones were ordered on a Tuesday and arrived Thursday. Outstanding! The sound quality was very good from the get-go, but I did find several classical music you tube links with 6-hour music selections, and played them through the 770s while I did other things--every day, several times a day, without fail. The There was no significant volume drop running the 250 ohms through my interface phone output at the same volume level as my 40 ohm phones. I'm a happy camper. Thanks to Will Crisp for his help in this selection.
DT 770 PRO Headphones
Excellent quality! Excellent separation! You feel like you're in the recording studio with the musicians and they're playing just for you!
Top value for the money!
Sweet Sound Comfortable
I'm putting together a budget home studio for production and beats. Monitoring your mix in a flat and accurate set of cans for long periods of time can get uncomfortable. Also the price point makes it hard to find. Not with these cans. There sort and accurate sound make it a pleasure to use. I even forget I'm wearing them after about an hour. And they sound fantastic. And like usual I received them in record time. And for under 200 bucks you can't go wrong.
DT 770 Pro Headphones - Simply Amazing!
I'm a professional voice actor and like most in the field today do much of the work from my home studio. That means I spend a lot of my time in ProTools listening, editing, mixing, compiling, and perfecting recordings to send to clients. I've found doing this work on headphones provides a better acuity in the final product than working from monitors so a professional set of headphones is very, very important to me.
I was satisfied with my current headphones, ATH-M40fs, UNTIL one of the studios I work at in Studio City recently switched from their Sennheiser HD 280 Pros to the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro (250 ohm). I thoroughly trust the engineers there - they are the best! - and decided to purchase a set for my studio from the pros at Sweetwater.
Well, simply put, I can not believe the difference in fundamental sound, tonal quality, and subtle differential attributes these headphones bring out in my recordings, which makes a tremendous difference in professional voice over work. These are simply fantastic and without question the best studio headphones I've used - period.
Yes, of course, you can spend a lot more money for headphones, but at this price point, and frankly at a price point two or three times greater, you cannot purchase a more perfect and accurate playback of professional recordings than these DT 770 Pro headphones deliver. The differences were immediately noticeable to me which, frankly, I did not expect to such a high degree. In fact, I immediately went back to some of the demos and samples on my website and made the subtle adjustments I heard with the new 770's that needed to be made to further improve the tracks my prospective clients will hear and make decisions regarding my work. What really surprised me was the comfort of these headphones. I have a big head (and I mean diameter . . . not attitude! :) and was amazed at how comfortable the 770's felt. I can wear these for many, many hours with complete comfort and no fatigue.
I am rating these DT 770 Pros a full 5 stars because at this price point and for the purposes I purchased them they exceed my expectations (which were pretty high) and immediately demonstrated sound quality and performance far exceeding any studio headphones I've used before. They look great . . . they feel great . . . they're built great . . . and they sound really great! Big thanks to the engineers at the studio (Jacob!) for making their choice and introducing these gems to me. And a really big shout-out to all the great people and engineers at Beyerdynamic for producing such a spectacular instrument for us to enjoy in the voice over industry.
So if you're in the hunt for outstanding and true professional headphones, look no further. You just found them!
Beyeardynamic DT 770s.....vast improvement
My main cans for years have been Sennheiser HD280s, which were better than my AKG K240s....But the DT770 leaves them in the dust. What a full, lush sound. I def hear things I didn't hear before. Way more comfortable too. The HD280s kept falling apart with years of studio use, the sound was decent and I got a lot of good use out of them, but the plastic pieces kept exploding across the room until they finally fell apart.
The 770s are worth the extra few bucks by a wide margin.
These Are Great
These headphones sound great, the bass is great and the mixes translate. They are also really comfortable and don't make your ears sore after a few hours of use like some cans. Get them, you won't regret it.
Must Buy!
I've been using these for 8 years now and they really are truly amazing. Excellent build quality, outstanding sound quality and incredibly comfortable. I have no complaints at all. If you're looking for a great set of cans that will last, buy these, you won't regret it.
Best headphones hands down
There's many good headphones out there sound wise but when you track or mix for days on end you realise how important comfort is. These headphones tick all the boxes, excellent product!
I'm Loving These Headphones!
Crystal clear sound, no background noise, and I don't have to crank everything up to hear clearly. Best bang for your buck!
Love 'em!
I haven't sampled a large number of high end headphones but I was looking for a set of premium cans for singers in my studio and these things are fantastic. Extremely light weight, the soft pads are extremely comfortable. Outside rejection and bleed is minimal and they actually sound good too. I have Sony 7506, sound good but too much bleed. Sennheiser HD280Pro - Good isolation but not enough bass. These were a big cut above both of those.
Great sound, incredibly robust
I just bought a new pair of these after my old ones had to retire, I got so much use out of them and they were incredibly robust. In the end one of the drivers went, but for the amount I used them for the length of time I had them I have no problems with it. I could have replaced the driver (these headphones are very serviceable) but I decided against it because I didn't want one old driver and one brand spanking new one as they could have possible sounded different. also the pads were getting old and the coil cable had seen better days.
Anyway, I've got my new sets. I'm determined to not drop these multiple times a day like I did with my old set. and to no constantly stretch the coil to full length, which can cause a coil to loose it's elasticity.
At the end of the day, if you want a pair of headphones that will tick all the boxes look no further.
-Great for tracking and anti bleed (whether your in the same room as the performer with a portable rig or the performer)
-Accurate/flat sound reproduction
-incredibly detailed
-Value for dollar
-very available and easy to replace. (Once your used to a set of headphones, you usually want to stick with them. Especially if you use them for referencing and do any mixing.)
-Closed black blocks out atmos sounds. If you use them in a room next to someone watching TV it won't annoy the heck out of you like open backs will (DT990s)
anyway would recommend and I would probably say these are my reference headphones for the foreseeable future.
DT 770's ARE INCREDIBLE!!!!!
My previous headphones were the Audio -Technica ATH m50. Now those were good but didn't deliver the accuracy and bass response I needed. Having an incredibly bigger and clearer sound stage the DT 770's are now my go to's for mixing in a home studio environment. Don't be discouraged By how they may sound at first like most new head phones Just take the time to break em in. Now the burn in period may vary amongst users so be patient and in due time you will be amazed by how great they sound!
Great headphones
These are great headphones. Clear, crisp and a nice, wide frequency response range that puts out a deep, full sound. Not to mention they're very comfortable! I use the headphones for everything from late-night bass jams and pounding the electric drum kit to recording, and they always deliver. I have a friend who's had these headphones for years and years and they've held up great. If you're looking for a great set of headphones that will last you and not break the bank, look no further.
The best I've ever heard
Very clearly ... you can hear all the details of your favorite music and your recordings.
Very comfortable and easy and nice design
Worth Every Penny
Accurate frequency ranges and great for dance music productions. Tasty jams.
Do the research - it sells itself.
I wanted a quality set of headphones for my home studio I'm putting together. I spent a few weeks reading everything I could find on headphones for this purpose. Made a list and just a/b'd everything. The DT 770 pro came out to be the best bang for the buck. Now, there might be something better out there, but the 770 is just incredible, not only for studio monitor headphones. It took just listening to music to a new level and made it possible to hear things I had missed before.
GOOD HEAD PHONE- WICKED!!
I love this head phone , JR recommended this head phone to me
THE BEST!!!
Amazing Headphones
I've had these headphones for about three weeks, and I'm incredibly happy with the purchase. They have an amazing clarity to them, and all things are even across the frequency spectrum. On top of that, they have an incredibly solid build, they are very durable, and they are comfortable. I use these both in the studio for mixing and for live sound engineering.
BD DT 770 Pro - Best Headphones Yet ...For ANYTHING!!!
In the past 20+ years (most of my life), Ive owned many different headphones, for many different reasons. After my 1st recording session, in Quad Studios Manhattan, I HAD to run out and buy 'Top of the Line' Pioneer of that era. Then, after Criteria(sc), Miami it was AKG. Then Sony, Sennheiser, Shure, etc... Then recently, I call and speak with Aaron Regenald at Sweetwater, who suggested I check out these BD DT 770 Pro. (I asked for something different but he knew what I was looking for) These are by FAR the BEST HeadPhones I've ever had. I started with Blues/Jazz at first, then Heavy Metal, Rock, Contemporary, and now, Film Scoring. But these could have handled all of the above. The Volume level is more than I can handle, the Bass is POUNDING and the Clarity is AMAZING! I could've spent anywhere from $500 to $1200, and he pointed me to a set that's priced around $200.
That dude has earned my loyalty from here on out.
Don't look down on these because of the price, and don't think that you're 'settling for what you can afford. Also, to have great HPs, you don't need to spend over $500. These BDs are more than any Professional set I've ever come across! And I can still listen to a variety of music from my iPod to my Stereo. Janes Addiction to John Williams, Eminem to Elton John, Manilow to ManOwaR and everything in between. (Ace of Bass to Anthrax)
Thanks Aaron!!! You were right!

Best headphones in my studio
I have many brands of headphones in my studio. By far, the DTPro 770 is the most realistic and dependable sound.

The Best
I already have this headphones for 6 years and can tell, that I never wanted to change them to another. Very clear and crisp sound, you can hear the lowest and the highest frequency. And after 6 years they still looks like new - no scratch on embouchures or broken. I would never replace them with AKG or Sennheiser much expensive studio headphones. If you need pro quality studio close headphones with great ambient noise reduction, buy them! Also take a look on DT 990 open, if you record in quiet studio environment. Highly recommended!
Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO Earphones Rock!
The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro Earphones blew me away! I ordered mine about a week ago, and they arrived today! JR, who was my sales engineer, really knows his stuff, too I might add. Pretty awesome guy to talk to.
Considering that I've been a totally blind musician all my life, (Not a pro musician) but would like to seriously be an independent artist, I got these to see if they would help me mix stuff better, maybe help me keep time better than the USB speakers I was using-and they sure have! Thanks to jR and the rest of you at Sweetwater.com! What really surprised me more than the awesome earphones though was when I got the candy in the box!!
That's like, seriously unheard of!
Who else would send you candy other than maybe for Christmas or something? I doubt anyone would! LOL
But seriously, these earphones are great.
A blind friend of mine on Twitter, who si also an indipendent artist, recommended them in general.
As for Sweetwater, I'd heard aout Sweetwater more than once, so couldn't resist, once I had enough money to get them!
They even blocked out the wind gusts we have going on hear in Prescott, Arizona here today! I also couldn't hear my phone go off, and as a result, almost didn't answer my mom's phone call though..:) Thanks again for such a cool product!
The Best headphone's
These are the best head phones i have ever used !!!!!!
Solid Buy
The DT 770's are perfect for error detection and quality control. Of course, they can never replace monitors, but they allow me to mix in monitor-less situations, without feeling like I have to do it all over again in the studio (you live, you learn.)
DT 770
I have never been in love with my headphones until now. I have owned akg sony yamaha and others and always treated them like a necessary tool. All that has changed with the 770s. I have been using them for live performance for a solid year now anD they just sound better and better. I also use them in the studio on a daily basis. Im able to go to the coffee shop and confidently work on mixes while enjoying every minute. Thanks Beyer!
Great Headphones
I just got these today and I have listened to all types of generes and all of the music sounds great. I even went back into some home recording files and the range on these really helped me hear some things I missed. The bass is done very well with a nice punch and the highs are amazing without being overpowering. They are very comfortable and after about 2 hours now they still feel great on my head. I recommend these because of the wide range, comfort and price. I looked around a lot before deciding on these and in my studying they had the best range for the price that were closed headphones.
DT 770 PRO
Great for tracking and mixing.
The Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO
I bought these for my son that is a professional pianist, and it was one of the items on his Christmas list. I also have a son that is a sound/recording engineer for a recording studio in Nashville, TN., and swears by these headphones.
If you love music you gotta have these headphones!
Outstanding sound quality! The sound is consistent across the spectrum so you can actually listen to the music and not be distracted by the headphones dropping or enhancing any part of the music. Good for mixing but I use them to just sit back and enjoy my stereo without disturbing the neighbors.
I like these
Flat frequency, great stereo something or other, amazing soung
Wow. Seriously... Wow!
These headphones are absolutely mind-blowing. I have never been one to suggest mixing a song strictly through headphones, but one late night I was at home mixing a tune and figured I'd try it with the DT 770 PRO's. When I listened to the mix in my car the next morning, I couldn't believe how well the mix had translated! Next I played the song through my home stereo system, then the monitors at my studio. The mix sounded great everywhere and even the low end was nice and clear, tight and punchy. Needless to say, I was impressed. These are also a delight for everyday listening. All of my favorite albums of any genre sound stunning through these headphones. Why buy High-end Bose headphones when these sound every bit as good (if not better!!)? For the price, these are a steal. Trust me, you owe it to yourself to but at least one pair of these headphones.
These are it.
These were not in stock when I bought my equipment. The Sennheiser HD 380 Pros were.
There is no comparison. The Senns were FANTASTIC for tracking, but that's about it (only for the sound isolation). These are great for tracking and, most of all, mixing. Do not get these as an all-in-one monitor replacement. They compliment good monitors, showing you with surgical accuracy what you need to boost or cut.
I would never rely on ANY pair of headphones for full production. But as an accompaniment to good Studio Monitors they work wonders, showing me in glowing detail where I have went wrong. Sometimes taking the room out of the equation can really help.
You can spend thousands on headphones if you want to. You can spend thousands on Studio Monitors if you want to...
...or just buy a good pair of Studio Monitors and these headphones, you'll be 95% of the way there for a total of $900 or so ($800 for me and I sell commercially).
The damn-near all metal construction REALLY sets these apart.
Comfort - I'm wearing them right now and almost forgot I was until this question arose. With the padding on these you will outlast the pickiest of musicians.
Accurate & Comfortable
For live and studio, these are really great. I'm picky about my sound, so the other competing cans I was using colored the mix too much. Low end is warm and deep, not boomy. Mids are really crispy and accurate, and so is the top end. Not to mention they're really comfortable.
Simply Amazing!!!!
I've been in the industry for a minute but these headphones are simply amazing to mix on just bought them a week ago and can't wait to break them in for extended mix sessions. Put me down for another couple of pair....AB+
Beyerdynamic 770Pro Audiophile and Recording in one can
I own several Beyer DT880s and they represent the ultimate in spatial soundstage and clarity of all of my other phones (including the awesome senn HD650s and AKG 701s) These are all open back designs which promote more airiness as is their nature.
To find a closed back phone that approaches that kind of clarity and spatiality is not easy. The 770 Pros (250 ohm) do just that. They are every bit as dramatic (in my opinion) as the Denon AH-d5000s (also closed back) and at much less than half the price.
With a couple of hundred hours of break-in, the mids really come alive in the sweet spot, the highs from the start are pristine and once broken in, blend like liquid with the mids.
The lows however are the big news. They match the tonal reach one gets from subwoofer compliments. No they don't hit you in the chest (no headphone will) with atmospheric blasts like a good sub but the rich tight and visceral sub tone is there at levels that are outrageous for even the lowest 5 string bass notes and lower. Yet they are not bass heavy. The tonal balance is perfect, and depite the mythology of headphone amps, these and all of the above shine with headphone outputs from good to high quality cd players and changers from Sony, Marantz and Yamaha and the like as long as they have headphone volume controls.
Yes computer outs can be a bit weak as computers have a lot of other things to do, but even my Sony portable DVD/CD players (DVP-FX820 Series) headphone outs produce spectacular results even while in battery power mode.
The Denons (which are closed back as well) are the hardest to drive but all the others, again given proper break in time, will produce stellar results.
The Beyers (including the harder to find DT770 Premium line - Silver earcups, straight cord) are truly exceptional and again my absolute favorites.
So if you both record/monitor and/or listen to well recorded music for the sheer pleasure of it, the Beyer 770 line (except for the 80 ohm M series with the volume control) and all the 880s are spectacular. The ambient (outside) sound attenuating 770s however, reproduce bass with such power, depth and clarity (and the perfect blend of mids and highs as well) that they have become my favorites over any of my other audiophile cans. And they sound as good (and accurate) in the studio as they do in repose.
Compressed mp3 audio lower than 320bps (like from IPods) may reveal too many compression artifacts from any good can, but who would listen to mp3s critically anyway (or listen to them at all with a quality can - frankly).
You will be amazed at what the DT 770 PRO and DT770 Premium line can do for your ears and your general well being. Music can have magical results on humans and never more so than with headphones of this caliber.

My DT 770's blew me away ! No excessive bass mids or highs
I've found the Beyerdaynamic DT 770 PRO to be one of / the best listening accuracy for both my studio mnitoring and PA monitoring and tuning for an accurate PA sound check. I've tried every brand out there and for the cost to value ratio they're hands down the best. Even listening to digital versus analog recordins as well as MP3 players on the plane they are comfortable and have an erie 3 dimensional/ Quadraphonic sound without built in attenuation they keep a great deal of outside noise outside. I'll be looking at more Beyerdynamic products, including microphones to compare with the standards and the very "High" end other brands. My vynyl collection vs my cd collection seems so similar , especially the vynyl quad recordings vs digitally enhanced are too close to call. I'm a n engineer and play both keys & guitar among others but the lows of my board commonly require 18" sub woofers to here what I hear in my Beyers. Bose ,Sony, AKG, are no match , but hear for yourself... WOW! Do you make in the ear monitors both custom made and over the counter like some of the competitors?
Great Headphones
Putting on a proper pair of professional headphones has made all the difference for me. For one thing my ears are not subjected to damaging volumes and frequencies. The heavy lows are no longer interfering. It was worth a little extra money to gain this much satisfaction from the DT 770
Mixing Clarity
I've been using AKG K240 Studio headphones for years as my all-purpose, do-everything headphone, but I was looking for something that was specifically for mixing my compositions in Logic Pro. After about 3 weeks, I'm very pleased with the sound quality, and the closed-back design allows for more critical listening. They are very comfortable to wear, even during longer sessions. My only nitpick is the coiled cable... I wish there were an option to swap out for something longer and without the coil. I already had an appropriate extension cable to accommodate my workspace, but it is something you may want to account for when purchasing.
omg an amazing headphone for monitoring, BUT the headphone adapter is easily lost
Sometimes i need to switch headphone ports and it sucks that the adapter can't stay attached to the headphones, i always keep losing them. Please add a keychain and a velcro loop to the port.
Nearly RMA'd these, but really glad I didn't.
My initial thoughts on the DT 770-250 headphones were pretty bad. I made the assumption that my interface would be enough to drive these. I was very wrong. Volume was more than adequate, but the sound was thin in the bass and lower mids. The high end was absolutely painful. I remembered that my computer's soundcard was supposed to be able to drive up to 600 ohm headphones and gave it a try. While a little lacking in overall volume, the sound quality improved greatly. I then tried one of those cheap little 4 channel headphone amps and the sound quality improved a bit more. It still has a little bit too much of that "beyer sparkle" for me but I've remedied that with the paper towel mod. For closed back, these have a great soundstage. Still has a bit of a dip in the mids. The bass seems well defined and articulate. Overall I'm happy with the DT770-250 and am looking forward to driving them with a proper amplifier.
DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm
Just what I needed. Closed-back headphones for tracking that won't cost an arm and a leg. Beyerdynamic makes awesome headphones. I also own the DT 990 Pro 250 Ohm. Both pairs have an extended high end that sometimes is a tad harsh, but it's not a problem most of the time. The bottom end is solid and the mids are right where they should be.
Opened my ears to what I was missing
I bought these for late-night & early morning guitar practice sessions (primarily) and they sound phenomenal. Great quality construction and the sound is crisp and clear. I bought the 250 ohm headphones and the only thing that is a different 'workflow' for me is needing to add an amplifier in front of my iPhone when listening to music. It needs a little boost for that use, but sounds amazing when you do that.
Great Headphones
Before these, I was using cheap earphones and headphones - so these are amazing! Still getting used to them, they feel a little bit heavy after wearing them for a while, but they are amazingly comfortable.Great sound, these give a nice amount of space around the ear. The headband size adjustment isn't the smoothest, but build quality seems good.
Great and Comfortable-250 ohm version
Have been using these for a few days now, and so far I love them. Most comfortable, closed back, recording headphones I've ever used. And the sound is great! I owned a pair of Audio-Technica ones and to me they were harsh sounding and uncomfortable to wear for any amount of time. These are relatively light and the padding is much more wearable for longer periods of time. I'm using these to record and mix with and I have to say I'm impressed. These have a very smooth, neutral sound. I'd recommend these to any one.
Beyerdynamic Dt 770 250 ohms
Been w Sweetwater for 15 years . Paul Allen
has been my rep and always has objective
advice.
Only reason I gave it 4.5 Stars was because the tech specs said: "replaceable cable."
The 250 comes w coiled cord but since it said replaceable I was going to just swap it
out w a straight one. I use headphones strictly for piano. Well the coil cord is a bit heavy and hung all over my left arm . Tried to secure it so it wouldn"t contine to aggravate me but it drove me crazy. The cable is hard wired and yeah replaceable only if you dissect , cut wires, solder, etc
Apparently the operative word is "detachable". Although I"ve seen tech specs for other detachable cable headphones use word replaceable. Now the 250 sounded terrific.
They do need a good amount of power. My separate headphone amp was up to 75%
Volume. Sound was pristine.
Although the 80 ohm version is ALSO
Hard wired , it comes w a straight cable.
So Sweetwater swapping me out from 250 to 80ohms. Awesome service from Paul Allen.
Always remember, even if you find price lower, it is still
totally better w Sweetwater because their staff is always poised to help with service after sale.
Really good
These headsets are pretty accurate. The only place where it gets a little sizzle is around 7Khz and up, it has a significant bump it seems. In that case I will compare what I am doing to a target mix and make sure that I am no more sizzled than the comparison. It is very workable and allows you to notice character, depth, clarity and punch easily. It has all of the stuff that makes a mix easy and translation friendly.
They're great!
After researching mixing headphones for a few weeks I called Chris Lewis looking for a recommendation. After discussing my situation Chris immediately suggested these. They were the right choice! My room is not the greatest for mixing and although I have good monitors, my final releases aren't always as clear as I'd like them. Even though they're closed back they provide a good stereo, speaker-like feeling. I'm still learning them but I used them to check a song I was about to release and was able to clean up some high and low end information that made a big difference in the final mix. Looking forward to many hours of listening. The only reason for the 4.5 rating is I'm not crazy about curly cables.
The best
Out of all my headphones these are my favorite. I like that the ear pieces don't have that black plastic that fails after a few years and they're comfortable and sound great. The only thing I don't like is the cord. It is heavy and I wish it was straight and not coiled.
DT = Dang Tasty
I ordered these sight unseen upon Jared's recommendation, and I was not disappointed. They're the best I've ever used at this price point. Robust constructed with all replaceable parts, very comfortable to wear for long sessions, and (most importantly) gloriously full and flat sound. A few words of caution: The 250-ohm design responds best when plugged into a real headphone amp like you'd find on a quality recording interface; these will sound comparatively weak when plugged into your phone or computer. If you're accustomed to a certain limited frequency range, the highs may scare you at first; think of it as the "air sound" that's missing from over-EQ'd recordings. And finally, you will absolutely be able to hear when something in your music collection isn't an original, high-res audio file. Just try them.
Headphones
I bought two pairs, one for a friend. These are wonderful headphones, with a crystal clear sound. I use them for my Baroque piano playing. So I highly recommend these. I also recommend Sweetwater because of their outstanding customer service. They care if you are satisfied or not. A great company and I believe that all their products must be excellent. I am keeping their catalog they included with the shipment.
Great Deal
You cant go wrong for $.
Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 250 Studio Mix H-Phones
Perfect, just what the doctor order. A Great addition to my studio. Physically and most importantly audibly comfortable and accurate.
DT 770 Pro Headphones
Great sounding headphones, great isolation and very solidly built. Nice large ear enclosures. These things appear to be designed to last. Not the most comfortable headphones ever (thus the 4.5 stars, not 5.0), but not bad in that regard either. Well worth the price, and yes, I'd recommend them and am glad I bought them. (Much preferred over my SONY-7506's and AKG K240's.)
Headphones & other aural adventures
These headphones deliver just as advertised. Clear sound and comfort to make recording and mixing a pleeasure. The only reason I gave it 4.5 stars is because at the joint where the headband joins the earpieces can delive a painful pinch. I've learned how to handle them now and haven't been injured since. And I was just kidding, there are no adventures. Sorry about that.
Beyerdynamic DT770
Purchased as a thank you gift to my producer engineer he really loves them.
Great cans!
I got these for listening at my work desk for hours on end, and they are so comfortable and accurate in playback I have to remind myself to focus on my work - not the music! If they packed better in my backpack (folded, with a hard case) I'd give them 5 stars - but they are durable and I still travel with them.
Great Headphones
These headphones are troopers! They sound very accurate and will pick out all the little details in your mix. They are by far the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. I have walked away from my desk with them on more than once without realizing that I have them on. The sheepskin does get sweaty when tracking drummers who play hard. I have used them in many projects and even travelled with them and they have held up nicely. They are somewhat of a studio standard that I have seen in studios oversees and in the states.
Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro
I've owned a pair of these for six years. I listen with headphones for music and movies through a Rane headphone amp, and also guitar through a Mackie mixer. These phones are comfortable, sound good, and have only one flaw: the cable is not easily replaceable. I recently pulled the cable loose. It is repairable but enough of a hassle that I've chosen to move on to a new set of phones. I've ordered the KRK KNS 8400. Every headphone that I've ever owned has become useless because of the cable. I'm done buying phones that don't allow easy replacement of the cable. Hence the KRK.
so good!
best headphone i've heard/worn. the low end is spot on. still trying to dial in the mid range, but with more hours i'll be able to adjust from my previous pair. i wore them for 6 hours without fatigue. incredibly comfortable. highly recommended.
Super For Reference
I was looking for headphones that come close to the sound of studio monitors in overall frequency response. These aren't perfect, but no headphones will sound exactly the same as monitors. These are quite close and well worth the price.
Accurate Reference For Mixing
These are very close to studio monitors with just a little mid-range loss. The lows are clear as are the highs. One great frustration with headphones in general is how differently they produce sound compared to monitors. I'm very pleased with how close these phones are to monitors, and they provide a great adjunct reference. JH
Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro
Very light weight, great sound, handles low freq to high's with total clarity, flat response for non colored sound reproduction.
Great cans... worth every penny!
Wow, these headphones are AMAZING. This is my second pair of audiophile grade cans and definitely my favorite pair (had Senn HD598's before these)... Frequency response is very good... There seems to be a slight peak on lower frequencies and a few high peaks around 7k, 9k, and 11k but a simple parametric EQ app on your PC can easily remedy this.
The isolation is top notch... listening to my music at work with the HD598's was problematic, but with these badboys, ear splitting volume is completely lost on the outside world. That is to say, no one will be able to hear your headphones regardless of the volume level you like.
Contruction quality seems very good... The earpads are comfortable for long listening sessions, however they're a little heavy and the clamping force is a little too aggressive, in my opinion. Although, that's probably why they're able to achieve such great isolation.
These have only gotten better as I break them in... After several weeks of listening, the sound has gotten more accurate, more satisfying and the highs have become a little less bright, which is good because they're a little too bright right out of the box I think. I can't wait to hear these things in another 100 hours.
Very accurate, clear cans
Sound is great, very accurate
Incredible low-end range, silky highs, mids are a tiny bit lacking.
Super comfortable
Nice long, bungie-like cord
Not as loud as I would like them to be (this should only matter if you use them in a live sound application.studio isnt really a problem.)
Glad I have them i my arsenal.
Beyerdynamic DT 770
Sound is very accurate. great for mixing. very comfortable.
Excellent Sound Quality, But…
The DT 770 Pro headphones have excellent sound and detail. But the closed-back does NOT isolate or keep these from bleeding audio into microphone.
I tested 3 sets of closed-back can: DT 770 Pro, Sennheiser HD 280 Pro, and the Tascam TH-200X. I set the volume to 79-83 db (using a db meter) before each test, and was 6-8" from the microphone.
The DT 770's were the worst offender. Very clear bleed-through audio from them. The HD280's were much better, but there was still some clear bleeding. The Tascam TH-200X were the best, hardly any bleed-through at all. But they also had the worst sound. Very muddy, lacking depth or detail.
IMO, the DT770's sound great, but you probably should avoid using them for vocals.
Great headphones...wish the cord was at least 1' longer
Great closed-back headphones; very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I bought them used, not really knowing much about them but I'm glad I did! I use them to work on my vocals while playing my acoustic guitar that's not coming through the headphones. They isolate well; I only wish that the cord was at least 1' longer, which would work better for me in the studio.
Does the job
These head phones allow me to quietly practice my keyboard without disturbing others—ideal. They are not forever (only fairly long-lasting) comfortable and they do not block outside sound—so there are limitations. The headphones I wanted were over $ and my sales rep. told me for what I needed—these will do the job and he was RIGHT! I wish I would've bought the $ pair, but I'm weird that way.
Work well
I can now mess with my gear without disturbing my girlfriend. Sound is terrific.
An EXCELLENT closed-back headphone for tracking vocals and drums...
My main headphones are the Beyer DT1990 Pro 250, so when I wanted a new pair of closed-back 'phones to record vocals I figured I'd try these siblings, the DT770 Pro 250. (Of course the nearest closed-back model would be the DT1770 Pro, but IMO they're overkill for tracking vocals.)
Simply put, they're excellent; far better than needed for my intended purpose.
My only real dislike —and it's a biggie for me— is the fixed cable. I swore I'd never buy any more headphones that didn't have a removable/replaceable cable, but I changed my mind and decided to go with the 770's. I have to say, though… I really don't like the cable; 1) it's coiled, 2) it's too short, and 3) it has a plasticky feel that's really not to my liking. But I knew these things going in, so it wasn't a surprise.
I work with —and own— many of the major headphone brands; Sennheiser, AKG, Sony, and others, I feel confident that they all can be used to make great music. I'm just groovin' on beyerdynamic these days. The DT770's sound excellent (the bass is surprisingly robust), are solidly built, easily give me the isolation I was looking for, and they feel good when worn (nice weight, excellent clamping force, and premium-level cushions).
So… I really like 'em, I just have to take a star away for the fixed coiled cord.
Beyer Dynamic DT 770
I have to be careful not to exaggerate when describing how good these headphones actually are ,
but I'm grateful that a friend informed of them .
Hopefully they will live up to their reputation
WELL WORTH IT.
Beyer dynamic DT770 Pro Headphones
I have had these headphones for ten years, and on sound quality they are five star's all day. I personally use monitors for most of my guitar work, but at night I go to the can's. They still sound fantastic, but after ten years, all the foam padding is worn out, which can be expected. The issue I have is the short cord, and the cheap plastic collar that the can's slide up into the top. That's the part that got bad on my set. Duck tape to the rescue. Your not getting a better sounding set of headphones than these.
Just fantastic sounding, right out of the box
I can't wait to hear what these sound like when they break in a bit, but so far, I'm pretty impressed that these sound so good and are only $150. Definitely recommend these for anyone doing vocal tracking or just wanting more isolation when listening. They are large and comfortable enough I could wear them on a loud bus/train, but probably not strong enough to replace your ANC headphones on an airplane. For music production, I think these are some of the best sub-$500 headphones I have ever heard.
Nice Headphones
The headphones are nice. Just one complaint: they fit too tight! As a measure to accommodate the tightness, I have "stretched" them by leaving them on an object overnight to loosen the "grip" over my ears. From a design point, it would have been great to have an adjustment feature that "moves the earpieces outward or inward, not just up or down.
Headphone Jack
I use headphones every day of my life, 6 hours a day, and I've had only three pairs of headphones; durable headphones. I know the difference between cheaply made headphones and durable ones. All of my research pushed me toward your products, Beyerdynamic headphones. The DT 770 PRO, an industry standard for musicians and casual listeners. Comfortable fit due to rugged, adjustable, soft padded headband construction, Innovative bass reflex system; Made in Germany, i'm not afraid to admit that this was the selling point for me, Germany has, as we all know, the best and most durable products.
As soon as I put on these headphones I was impressed, great mixing, comfortable wear, et cetera. I was possibly too excited and impressed, ignoring that my headphones we're still plugged in. I rushed out of my room ripping the headphone jack off and leaving the jack inside my computer, now stuck; my excitement had fled away. Seems to be a user error? No! The reason they broke is because of the old technology used, the headphone phone jack I had prior to the DT 770 PRO was a Beats by Dre; it had a curvature so when headphones are jerked off it would simply slide out.
I immediately sent it back as faulty hardware, I would implore Beyerdynamic to research possible ways in making the headphone jack more user friendly, or else.
Studio headphones
Great comfort and noise canceling. Excellent flat Eq response. Only negative draw back is they don't seem to have enough volume headroom like other headphones I have.
Fantastic! DT 770 PRO 250 ohm
I mostly use these to track and mix my music in Reaper(DAW). I plug them into a Zoom L-20, and it drives these 250 ohm headphones without trouble.
From low to high end frequency, I have no trouble hearing details. I can wear these for several hours without feeling physical or auditory fatigue.
Overall these have been a very pleasant experience. I originally was worried that this closed backed version would constrict my listening capability. That hasn't been the case. I will eventually buy the 990's as well to compare, but I'm currently only recording at home and don't want to bother my wife and children.
Great product!
Fantastic
Unbelievable difference. Response appears much flatter than previous headphones and speakers I was using. Bass is more distinguishable. The clarity is fantastic. I chose closed back due to my environment, and these are amazing at isolation. My mixes sounded better from square one.
The only reason(s) i subtracted one star is due to the cord. Not a big fan of the 'curly' cord. And it is not detachable to allow you to change it. This is something Beyerdynamics should look at.
Otherwise, worth every penny.
Comfortable Quality
I bought these to replace a perfectly good set (Sennheiser HD280Pro) that simply was uncomfortable for me. These are a significantly more comfortable as well as provide quality sound. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that they are not the MOST comfortable I've used. However, the MOST comfortable (Sony MDR1AM2) for some mysterious reason would not work with my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.
Comfortable
Sounds great ,very comfortable
Great Cans Thus Far
Great sounding headphones for in home mixing at a low level as they don't have amplified mechanisms and I have to gauge volume on my Apollo accordingly. Very comfortable for long use.
Great but very isolating and lacks replaceable cable
I've used these for over 10 years now so I thought I'd share my experience with them. In general I've loved them; they're well-made and sound really good. However, I have two caveats. The first is that, while Beyer touts having replaceable parts, the most crucial part - the cable - is hardwired to the phones. In my years of owning these headphones, I've replaced the pads twice, the headband once, and the cable plug three times. This is usually a pretty easy/cheap thing for an electrician to fix, but it's annoying (esp. if these are your only headphones), and honestly it's just a bummer since many sub-$100 headphones offer detachable cables. To be fair, I haven't kept these in the studio - I also bring them to work every day, because I work in a noisy warehouse and these are GREAT for listening to music in loud environments (also nice on planes, but very bulky). So, if you're planning on leaving them in the studio and you take good care of them, you'll likely have better luck than me. That brings me to caveat 2: these headphones are VERY isolating, which is both a positive and a negative. I originally bought them because I needed to record my own drum tracks, and they're great for that, but for recording just about anything else, or mixing, I see now that I would have been better off with open or semi-open headphones. DO NOT buy these to use for recording your own vocals; the isolation can seriously skew your sense of pitch. If you're already in this situation, leave one ear uncovered, or experiment with placing the pads halfway off your ears. So, in summary: make sure you need the isolation, and be aware that the cable may eventually need repair. If you end up going with these, or if you already have them, think about investing in a second pair of open/semi-open phones, even something on the cheaper side. Hope this helps!
Great headohones
Great set of headphones.using for tracking and mixing ..I love the bass response around ummmmm 10db ...
Great Buy
Long cord means reduced volume but they sound great and are comfortable in longer sessions.
Comfy Cans
These headphones are comfortable, provide good isolation, and sound really good. I had hoped they'd be a little more acoustically sensitive, but they do sound spectrally balanced. They seem durable enough to last for years.
The plug.
Great sound. But if you are planning to plug them primarily into a 1/8" jack, expect to hold the plug and wiggle it constantly to get the contacts to work correctly, thanks to the attached threading for the 1/4" adapter. So annoying to use them with a PC headphone jack.
Hearing and Wearing is Believing
These headphones have greatly improved the quality of my musical life. I spend 5-6 hours arranging and composing with them on. I can take them off and have no fatigue whatsoever--they are extremely comfortable. Even plugged straight into my laptop without a pre-amp, the low-, mid-, and high frequencies are very balanced throughout. I now hear a high level of detail in recorded music that wasn't being delivered by my Sony MDR's.
DT 770 Pro
These are some to the clearist and most honest headphones that I have used. They allow me to hear all frequencies without blasting my ears off like with some of the other mistaken for studio syenthised/db bostedon the low end without my input headphones. (Beats Studio Pro) This needs power and I am in the process of looking for headphone amp. So I can not give a 5 stars. AWSOME HEADPHONES.
A New Experience
I have used Sony 7506's for years. Recently, they were blown out by my headphone amp so I was forced to invest in a new set. With all the great reviews I decided to try these. They are very comfortable and sound much different than what I have been used to. I am adjusting to the sound which seems to be more accurate than the 7506. Especially great when you are wearing them for extended time periods.
BEYOND THE GREAT
These are some of the most honest headphone that allows you to accurately determine the balances with your highs, mids, and lows. I usually listen to my music at a low level and these you do not have to blast to notice what need to be tweaked. Also there is no synth. To the bass like in the Beats By Dre. I would recommend these to anyone that need a pair of monitor headphones that deliveries great sound and are beyond comfortable. If you have the chance to go to an audio store try these you will definitely consider them to be the best for your studio setup and they are at a reasonable price point. Great Headphones.
Great sound but a bit quiet
Like all good headphones definitely take some time to wear these in properly, then you'll be rewarded by an accurate clean sound. Very comfortable and easy to wear for long periods of time, great for recording vocals, on balance I did find them a lot quieter than any other closed-back headphones I've used which is a little tiresome but still a great product.
Almost Perfect... but...
Great fit, very comfortable. Sound is amazing for the amount of isolation they provide. Only drawback is the pigtail cord. Not long and tends to kink on itself. A pain while tracking, no bother while mixing.
Requires adequate amplification
I was running these headphones out of the headphone jack of an RME Fireface UCX interface, and even that was not truly enough to have loud enough volume from the headphones... I would say the volume was just loud enough to use the headphones purely for critical listening or mixing, after tracking is done, but not loud enough to be tracking a loud source in the same room, like a guitar amp or speaker cab. Basically, you find yourself turning the headphones up almost all the way, if not all the way, much of the time, just to get adequate volume. Just keep this in mind, or get extra emplification for them, if you want them. OR, get the 80 ohm version instead (Beyerdynamic DT770 Studio 80 Ohm headphones. I am not talking about the Beyerdynamic DT770 M 80 ohm tracking headphones with black leather ear pads, which Sweetwater sells.)
Another thing... Maybe it was just the pair I got, but these headphones are almost too harsh or aggressive in the upper frequencies. They are very detailed and the bass is very accurate and NOT over-inflated, which I loved, but there is a harshness in the high range that I think may go slightly beyond just being honest or true to the source... A song played through these headphones sounded more aggressive and sharp In the high frequencies than the same song played through every other speaker set I could try it on... Maybe the mids on these are a bit recessed or something, and that's the cause of the overly-present high's, but I don't know. The mids and highs on the Beyerdynamic DT770 Studio 80 ohm headphones are way less harsh and sound more true to the source, to me. Technically, the 250 ohm version, here, is a bit more detailed in the high's, but that doesn't mean that the balancing of the mids and highs is more accurate, necessarily. I still think the high's are overly pushed in your face with these. These DO have a slightly more accurate, or less inflated, bass sound than the 80 ohm version does, though. That being said, the 80 ohm version is not THAT bass inflated. I like it better than this one overall, I think. Again, not talking about the 80 Ohm version with black leather ear pads that Sweetwater sells.
Comfortable, powerful low end response
Compared with my other phones, AKG K240, these are very clean on the mids and highs, but a little boomy on the bottom end. They are very comfortable to wear. Evaluating headphones is very subjective and totally a matter of personal opinion. While these are very good, I like my AKG's more.
Great sound, but eats hp amps for breakfast.
Quite open sounding. Almost unrealistically good. They don't make me work hard on the mix. It just took time to get familiar with them. My big complaint is the 250ohm resistance. I've found that many of my devices need to have their headphone output volumes cranked all the way to the top to get the level I'm looking for. I don't have a nice external/powered headphone amp. Trying to use them with iPhone or iPod in a noisy environment is a joke. Tracking at low levels? Good luck pleasing your artists, especially if they're 'heard of hearing'. These eat standard headphone amps for breakfast. I can't trust a hp amp's coloration if I need to turn it all the way to the top to hear at the level I want.
OK, but after about 2 hours fatigue...
In general sounds OK and flat. But not sure if I really like highs...
I like those big farbic ear pads, comfy on my head, no issues.
My biggest complaint is ear fatigue. After 1-2 hours starting to feel discomfort and to make a break. Otherwise would give higher rating.
Have had better. :(
Bought these because of all the great reviews and for the price. Needless to say I'm a little disappointed. They're 250 ohms so they've got power right? I bought a headphone amplifier and even with it, they still clip not even being that loud.. I own a pair of Shure SRH440 (that I've used on a regular basis for coming on 11 years now) that are only 40 ohms, are louder, just as clear, cheaper and came with a more durable travel bag than what came with my Beyerdynamics...? Disappointed. Should have just got a new pair of the Shure headphones.
Sound Great but Won't Hold up to Everyday Use!
I own 4 pair of these in my pro studio. One set on each mixer and 2 we allow certain clients to use. These are the best sounding headphones I've found. Period. There is however a severe flaw in the engineering. After you adjust these to fit your head-size a couple dozen times, the screws holding them together just fly out and they are seated in thin plastic sleeves that strip out so you either have to send them back over-seas to have them replaced or repaired, glue them back together (still doesn't last long) or else do like I did and use a roll of electrical tape to hold them together. 3 out of 4 flew apart within a couple of months. NOT WHAT I WOULD EXPECT FROM $300 HEADPHONES !!!!
Beyerdynamic bewilderment
Wow wow wow... not in a good way. I'm incredibly shocked after reading all these positive reviews, which lead me to making this purchase, how inefficient these headphones are for djing.
I could possibly understand how these cans might be effective for mastering mixes in a studio environment WITH a headphone amp, but they are absolutely ineffective for the demands of a dj environment.
The first thing I did when I unpacked the headphones is plug them into my phone, and I was immediately bewildered as to how quite they were with the volume at max. And as far as isolation, it's practically nonexistant, you'd be able to hear the sound of a pin dropping outside of the headphones while the volume is maxed. I did not completely fall to despair though, I figured when I plug them into my pioneer nxs2 mixer, they will receive the needed amps. My optimism was shattered instantaneously when this was put to the test. Again, at max volume on the mixer they were not nearly loud enough, and at past 50% volume the bass became distorted. The audio-technica m40x headphones I was replacing were efficient at 50% volume and did not bleed even at max volume (they just hurt the eardrums at that point!) .
On a positive note, I purchased these from Sweetwater, who has amazing customer service, and I have no doubt they will swiftly exchange these and help me pick out the proper ones for my needs.
I rated these headphones at 2 stars rather than 1 because the style and comfort are good, and I do understand that with a headphone amp in a studio environment they would have completely different results than what I need. I'll stick to headphones that are made for djing specifically.
To quiet.
When I recieved these headphones I thought my setup was complete. I was wrong. These headphones are just not power worthy. I connected then to my Zoom mixer and the mixer overpowered them. Sound was horrible as if the volume levels were maxed out. Comfort is 5 star, feel good when wearing but just not what I expected when paying that much money. If you want to have a conversation then these are ok. If you need any dort of volume I would not recommend these headphones
Great Sound, Dubious Build Quality
I've had these phones for approx. 2 months, and I would give them 5 stars for the sound. But, they've developed a problem with the speakers already, and now are essentially unusable. Make no mistake, when they work, they sound fantastic, perfect for tracking and working with headphone mixing. But I've had other headphone brands that have held up for years, so I'm disappointed that these have given up the ghost so quickly, and as such, am very hesitant to recommend them.
NOT FOR MIXING
The advertising for these headphones are not transparent and comes off as a cash grab. These headphones are for tracking, not actual studio work like mixing/mastering so avoid these AT ALL COSTS if that's what you're looking for. Even for what it is the audio quality sounds horrible and I wouldn't even use these for casual listening, it's the overpriced equivalent of bargain bin headphones & the abundance of people saying they're phenomenal likely need their hearing checked. Mad that I dropped money on this garbage & can't wait to refund.
Avoid
These lasted 6 months and the left ear blew out. I don't listen at extreme volumes, only use it to track.
You get what you pay for I guess, though $ isn't exactly cheap.
Left side started buzzing after less than a month of use
I like how the headphones feel and sound, but the left side is producing a buzzing sound. I have only used these a few times since I they were delivered about three weeks ago.
Poorly made
What else could I do but pan these things. They barely lasted a year and have developed a bizarre problem. The wiring is somehow shorted out. Can't use a balance control, they sound like hell, no bass, everything sounds like its in the bathroom down the hall. They sounded good at first but just collapsed into themselves. Lets see if they fix them or disingenuously blame me. Meanwhile I have had Sony's for years on end without any problems. Cheap crap masquerading as high end it would seem.
sadden
very very flat and dull,it's not worth for what i paid for
