I bought two pairs of these headphones, and they fall apart quickly. Cannot believe I wasted $ on these.

Very disappointed in the build quality and longevity of these. I've owned these for ~2.5 since 03/27/23. My use case is very typical; I use them for network promo mixing and voiceover. I travel with them occasionally, but they have never been mishandled and are always treated with care.

That being said, after 1.5 years the inside of the headband had completely fallen apart. The fabric split and the foam padding came bulging out. I repaired it with electrical tape. Now, 2.5 years later, the wire that goes through the headband to the right driver has failed completely. I can only get it to pass signal by duct taping it down to the ear cup and fiddling with it.

I could open them up for repair, but I have no willpower after repairing my DT 770 Pros years ago, which succumbed to the same exact fate as these but held up for 3 times as long.

Beyond that, I've come to find the EQ curve of these headphones to be rather lackluster. It can be tricky to treat bass frequencies properly unless you know its tricks. I often need to excessively compensate to get bass and high frequencies to translate correctly onto different mediums. I know these aren't flat headphones and they aren't advertised as such, but I'm tired of working against how they sound.

It's time to switch brands.

I had seen some other reviews about this problem, but figured that my worn-out, old-man ears might even benefit from a little extra on the high end of the frequency scale.
