I'm always happy when I put a set on. They take a little bit to break in and lose their squeaky feel, but These strings last a really long time and I think they beat out the NYXL.
Nothing More, Nothing Less, and Nothing Else
If you use vintage PAF style Humbuckers, 65:35 audio taper pots and the right caps with 50's vintage wiring, these strings will complete the vintage sound you're goiing for. I don't need extra bright strings, I need classic tone, and I will NEVER use anything else unless it's an emergency, and then I will replace that string with one of these immediately. I keep many sets on hand so that never happens. I never use boosts or distortion boxes. It's straight into my JCM800, Hughes & Kettner Grandmaster 40 Deluxe, or my Orange Rocker 32, though at home its fun to run straight into my early 60's Brownface Bassman with the piggyback 2x12 cab.
