I own these, they're great. They do have a color to them so don't expect natural flat sound. I've recorded a few albums with them and they turned out very nice. Of course having good sounding things to go into the mic helps.
The kit comes with a great case. The DVice clamps are ok but they do the job.
All the mics are killer. Give you a great EQ'ed drum sound from the get go. I've owned them for probably over 10 years now and they're still perfect.

You literally do not need any other mics for making your full drum set sound professional. All of these mics are great for other purposes than just your drums too!

If you want the easiest solution to capture what your drum sound is then You can not go wrong with Audix D series mics, the I 5 is so versatile whether on snare/guitar or bass for a good clean sound, using the D6 on the kick and floor tom gives you an easy way to capture the true sound of the drums with little to no EQ, the D2 and D4 on the rack Tom's are just as easy. The ADX51 condenser mic has all the response you will need to record the cymbals and or as room mics. I would recommend these mics to any mic locker .

Everything you need to mic up a kit perfectly. Wide frequency response, and the mounting puts the mics exactly where you need them to be.

I love Audix microphones.. they sound amazing and you can't break them. This kit was the perfect solution for our kit. I was ready to spring for the DP7 as it had all of my favorite Audix microphones included : D6 (Kick) D4 (Floor Tom), (2) D2 for rack toms, (2) ADX51 for overheads and an i5 for snare top. Then i happened to see the DP7 Bundle with an extra ADX51 for $ more. What? That mic is usually $ alone. With that extra mic it opens up all kinds of options.. separate high hat mic; under snare to get the sizzle; inside the kick for attack with the D6 in the hole; under cymbal, (3) overheads; etc. Crazy ! What a deal !! The DP7 with 7 of my favorite microphones is a great deal , but the DP7 Bundle with and extra ADX51 for $ more is just a stupid great deal .. you won't find a better package for your drums. Believe me I know. I've used em all.
