Diezel D-Moll 100-watt 2.5-channel Tube Head Reviews

100-watt 3-channel All-tube Guitar Amplifier Head with Mid-cut Circuit, 2 x Effects Loops, and MIDI

The Diezel D-Moll puts the 3-channel versatility and switching flexibility of the company's dominating Herbert into a more compact 100-watt electric guitar amp head package. The amp's channels are voiced in a way that make the D-Moll a perfect go-to amp for any session or gig. The master Midcut circuit, made popular on the Herbert, is an effortless and programmable way to shape the amp's overall character. Add in an optional Diezel footswitch or MIDI switcher and you're able to program every aspect of your tone for instant recall.

So freakin' good

By Sweetwater Customer from TX
Music Background: Studio and live musician

I've had a VH2 and I didn't bond with that amp that much. I sold the VH2 but i definitely missed having that Diezel sound as no other amp sounds like it period. I decided to grab this Diezel D-moll and give it a try, the mid-cut controls really did it for me. I was able to dial in really amazing tones and this quickly became my #1 gigging amp. It cut through a mix solidly and was never weak or thin sounding while doing it. The clean channel is to die for, really, it's amazing and rich.
This amp is very versatile and can do ALOT...takes pedals extremely well. I can't compliment it enough.

Other amps in my arsenal are ENGL invader2 w/wizard module, ENGL powerball2, Friedman runt20, Mesa B. Bandlander 100.

If I could turn all those amps into one amp...you might have the D-moll!

Crazy tones

By Bobby B. from Texas
Music Background: Indie on Air Records, Broken to Brave

This amp has an amazing, hard to describe sound. The sound is almost "high def" versus the Mesa Trip, and PRS Archon. Glassy smooth and robust cleans, and the overdrive is insane. More gain than you'll ever need. Better to have too much, dial it back, than to not have enough. No boost pedal or 808 needed at all. I finally see and hear what all the fuss is about. Worth the money!!

Sonically the best

By Guittarr from Wisconsin
Music Background: Gigging musician

Over the years, I played numerous gigs in Europe and the US, mostly playing the amps provided by the organizers. From these countless organizer-provided amps, I eventually bought three: Diezel D-Moll 100, Engl Fireball 100 and Hughes & Kettner GrandMeister Deluxe 40. They are somewhat different, but each is sonically super-great!

If you"re looking mainly for flexibility, the GrandMeister Deluxe 40 is the winner. If you"re looking mainly for simplicity, the Fireball 100 is No. 1 among these 3 sonic masterpieces. If you"re looking mainly for pure sonic bliss, then the D-Moll 100 has a slight edge over the other two, not much, just a little bit....and if I can choose absolutely any amp for a gig – it"ll be always the Diezel D-Moll 100....or two of them.
