Always Use Dean Markley or Pyramid
Pyramid is my first preference but they are getting hard to find, so Dean Markley is my next best choice. Don't let the rating fool you the tone quality is awesome but Pyramid's will always be my favorite strings. In my opinion, both Pyramid and Dean Markley make the best strings on the market...
New packaging might as well not exist
I bought a couple sets of these at Gear Fest, but for future use at the time. Finally, 6 weeks later, I opened the first set to put them on. They have a new packaging that instead of corrosion protection heatsealed plastic bag, is now a cute little ziploc bag. EXCEPT THE BAG WAS NOT EVEN ZIPPED CLOSED! The strings were left exposed to atmosphere, humidity in July, etc. The two unwrapped strings are corroded the entire length right out of the package, and the G and D strings have a few spots before I even could put them on! Not happy with the new packaging at all!
The stings themselves, I like and always have, but I might not buy anymore if this is what I will get.
