3rd guitar i've ever owned and first Schecter. Love the guitar, feels really smooth to play and the neck being one piece with the body, the contours, really make the guitar nice to play. I bought it because of the sustain pickups and i really like the overall look of the guitar, looks really clean and the custom inlays are awesome. The only thing i would change about it might be the weight - it is one of the more weighty electric guitars I've ever played, but that can be nice in the context that when you're playing it, you're not going to accidentally get bumped out of place on the fretboard because the thing really stays in place because of the weight.
Super Satisfied
Absolutely incredible guitar for my playstyle. Sustainiac pickups make a really good clean sound and the EMG active pickups sound really good for metal music. Super fun and good feeling guitar, came in great condition. The bridge was level, action was good, and was even still in tune. The only downside was the 9V batteries were dead but luckily I had some new ones. Overall a fantastic guitar for playing at home!
Beast mode and a half!
I have owned roughly 15 guitars in the last several years including this for a cpl years now...i now own 3 electrics and this is probably the best machine per penny hands down!! Floyd Rose and sustainiac with an exceptional overall build quality and attention to detail. Really?!?! Amazing!! Easily worth double the sticker price if you compare to what's out there!! Happy camper here!! Get one while u can!!
Very happy with my order
I ordered this guitar and a hardshell case for it and I cannot be happier. I have had it for about a week now and the guitar plays wonderfully. It is exactlly what i was looking for and what pleased me the most is i ordered 2 day fed ex and recieved it in 24 hours. I have had Dozens of guitars and Even Custom Fano or Fender really can't beat it for the playability. Also for the Fully equipped guitar at under 1,000 can't get anything as good as this. It's loaded just the Sustainer and EMG Pickup is the price. Mahogany, Floyd Rose Chrome. Matte Black Smooth finish to fly and rosewood fretboard with Ebony Bat Inlays and 24 frets. All you need for any style anywhere anytime!!!

This guitar combines favorite features of my other guitars (SG, LesPaul, Strat, AriaPro) into one and adds a few. It plays and sounds great. The Sustainiac driver is awesome, providing infinite (at least until the battery dies) sustain without cranking the amp. Floyd Rose Special holds tune after a serious beating. I was originally reluctant to buy a guitar to be shipped to me unseen, but have no regrets. Matt at Sweetwater was very helpful. The price was right, too. I have since recommended Sweetwater to friends.

Where to start on the journey to this one...
It all started at a chain guitar store in Des Moines Iowa... ignored by sales staff and had big bucks to spend... not the place to go for sure. looked at several guitars the necks were all twisted... so I spotted a Damien.. not my first choice.. the bat's were a draw back... yea they had one.. it was trashed by on display for over 6 mo.
It had to come home... bad lighting and guitar fever hit me.
And they had the nerve to charge full price... the binding was cracked, strings rusted, deep dent on the back... no hardware or paper work and no box.... not a good experience!!
after an e-mail and a phone call and another 80 mi each way trip. it was refunded...
lesson learned!! (Take me out back and beat me if I do go back to that chain store!!)
One call to Bart A. and he was able to pull it from the warehouse and look at it first as my eyes and ears. ( now how many places do that??)
The guitar arrived in Iowa via FedEx double boxed in perfect shape. a string change to ultra light eb 8-38 blue wrapper 2225 strings and tweaking on the Floyd for intonation and string height 6 hours later perfection!! ( I am a perfectionist on the setup).
And yes it holds tune perfectly!! Yea if you have a pro guitar guy pay the extra bucks for a good custom setup for your style of playing it is worth the money!!
Now to the guitar. yea if you have not had a chance to try one of these it will go from real clean ( one of the cleanest guitars I have ever played) to shred with a twist of the volume and switch. the active emg's are the ticket!! Then if that was not enough the Sustainiac will take you to a new level of wow!! Just like having a double full stack cranked to eleven. nice for solo's and backing tracks!!
Note: be sure to change out the 2 low cost oem battery's to lithium cells for the best sound before you play it. yea they cost more but they are worth it!!
Basically it is down to this.. if you have not tried one yet... This is the best value out there!! The neck to fret finish is perfect and super easy to play... Do not get me wrong.. I am not that old yet... But for us older guy's a fast neck is a must!! super easy to hit all the notes perfectly right on key!!
This guitar is a solid winner for sure!!
