Schecter Damien Platinum 6 FR - Satin Black Reviews

This is the first Schecter I've ever owned, and it definitely doesn't disappoint. The pickups are aggressive and very sensitive and the Floyd Rose special seems solid enough. I don't know if Sweetwater does setups, but it arrived perfectly tuned and with a crazy low easily playable action.

My only complaint is the fretboard is definitely pretty dried out and dull, but that just happens. Purely cosmetic and an easy fix next time I restring. The bat inlays are sick too, like an evil PRS.

This guitar sounds and plays just as sinister as it looks. It doesn't matter which amp or pedal I running through it just defines METAL.

My guitar arrived in pristine condition, except the strings - they all broke when I opened it! No big deal, the guitar itself has zero blemishes, the lines are very clean, everything is extremely well made! It plays beautifully. This is a metal guitar though. The humbuckers are very highly charged, so if you want to play blues or jazz, you will def. want some different pick ups. Luckily, EMG offers a bunch of different active humbucker options.

This guitar is solid. My first schecter but definitely not my last. I feel like this thing will last forever.

I was new to guitar about a year ago and bought this sweet AXE from Sweetwater not only for its reputation but its solid build and incredible sound. This guitar has yet to disappoint and stays in tune without fail. The staff at Sweetwater check up with me regularly and continue to do so to this day. This guitar is excellent for any "Metal Head" and is in my opinion a solid purchase with a naturally deep sound. I cant do it justice just yet but it makes me sound great regardless.

This is hands down the greatest schecter guitar I've ever played if not the best out of all guitars. It can do any genre you can think of, but it is mostly for metal and rock. Everything from the hardware to the finish is great on this guitar, would definitely recommend.

I have owned this model since late 2018 and have played it at least 4 times a week since I bought it and can't say enough good things about this guitar the fit, feel and performance rivals guitar 3 times its price in my opinion. Some say the Floyd rose special isn't a reliable long lasting Floyd rose but mine has held up very well it holds tune very very well and yes I've dive bombed many many times lol. One more thing I own several schecter guitars and schecter seems to be a great brand that makes some of the best guitars for your hard earned money buy this guitar and I'm sure you will love it!

After receiving my guitar and allowing it to acclimate ;) I finally got to play it. This guitar feels and sounds amazing not to mention it looks pretty sharp. Sweetwater was one of the best online companies I have ever dealt with. Ryan in sales called and texted me keeping me apprised every step of the way. Thanks Ryan!!

This is my second Schecter instrument the first being an Omen Extreme 4 bass and I fell in love with it (for my style of playing). I don't know what kind of black magic Schecter uses to pull this off but I absolutely love my Damien Platinum 6 FR guitar-why? You name it! Play-ability, tone, price point, even the bat inlays are cooler in person. I've watched countless reviews before buying and this instrument found out... that I want more of their guitars!

I went back and forth on a number of guitars and settled on this platinum Six VS the hellraiser..... Both are great.... But this guitar is just plain.... Awesome.... Shreds well and easy to play as far as design is concerned. Great neck.... And the sound..... Pure metal..... Love It!

I picked this up used and it is a solid guitar. the first thing I noticed is the weight and how sturdy this instrument is. The guy I purchased it from had it tuned to drop c and it sounds killer on my Peavey xxx tube amp.the action is awesome and the neck is super straight. the simple volume tone setup is really all you need. if you are looking at this guitar you really are looking for a metal machine .... I really havent played it on the clean settings ...

I honestly don't know what to say. All the high end features packed into a really affordable guitar is mind blowing. I love it. I'm used to playing on thinner necks like Ibanez and Jackson. But once I got used to it I actually like having some meat to grab onto while shredding. Satin Finish- Amazing Grover Tuners-A++ Floyed Rose Special- Top Tier EMGs- World Famous. Sure theirs features it doesn't have coil tapping and stuff like that. How'ever if you're like me, you want your guitar to be amazing at what it was meant for. You dont want it to be "ok" at everything. Isn't that why we have multiple guitars??? By the way Sweetwater is amazing as always. Customer Service is the best in the business. Just buy from them and find out for yourself.
