Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 FR HH CM Electric Guitar - Satin Black, Sweetwater Exclusive Reviews
The Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 FR HH CM was built for a single purpose: hot-rodded, full-throttle performance. This solidbody electric guitar boasts an aerodynamic — and eminently lightweight — okoume body, along with a time-tested bolt-on design that's primed for high-octane fretboard pyrotechnics. The Pro-Mod DK24 FR HH CM's caramelized maple Speed neck includes a hand-rubbed satin urethane finish, and its 24-fret, compound-radius fingerboard feels like greased lightning. Flutters, warbles, and over-the-top dive-bombs are no problem for this shred-ready axe, thanks to its Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo, and its Seymour Duncan humbuckers yield an all-encompassing complement of high-output, harmonic-laden tones. You also get wicked-looking black hardware, Luminlay side markers, and a spotlight-worthy satin finish. The Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 FR HH CM makes an effective launch pad for high-level playing techniques, and you can only get it from Sweetwater!

This is by far...
... one of the best guitars I've ever owned. I got in on the mail on Friday afternoon. I changed the strings and did a quick set up on Saturday morning. I used it as my primary guitar on a gig that same night. Had 0 stability issues, tone was of-the-charts killer through my Mesa Mark Vii and now that I have time to actually sit down and play it, I like it even more.
Why did I use it as my primary? I have another Charvel, a high-endy DK24 with the Full Shred/Alnico ii set which I love, but with a Gotoh 510 and I wanted to gig-test this floyd rose.
Bottom line is that the Nazgul/Sentient (which I have in two other guitars) sound AMAZING on the Okoume body.
