Looking for a coated tom head that’s durable but won’t lose sustain? Attack Drumheads’ Thin Skin 2 is the move. This unique 2-ply design sings more like a 1-ply but is strong and steady even beneath heavy hitters. These heads blend Attack’s proprietary US-made Duracoat with 5mm and 7mm Dynaflex film for a more resonant 2-ply build. Thin Skin 2s' more open response have really impressed Sweetwater drummers. Tuned high, the Thin Skin 2 head lets you really get into it without taking on that dreaded "tabletop" tone; tuned low, they retain articulation and clarity. Expect darker tone and quicker decay compared to a clear head, with a batter side that’s warm and thuddy and a resonant side that’s round and slightly muted.

These are every bit as good as any remo or Evans head I've ever used, and half the price! Just got em today, tuned them up in about 5 minutes and they sound great on the SPL Street Bop kit that I just refinished. Perfect fat THWAP sound on the 10" Tom and the 13" floor Tom. My custom kit is now complete!
