I've purchased several sets of the ProFlex 1 Clear heads and put them on several different brands of sets (Pearl, Tama, Mapex, Gretch, PDP, plus the no-name cheap China imports). I've been satisfied every time. Do I use other brands? Certainly!... I've been bangin drums for over 50 years, so I've developed a bit a discriminating taste in what I want my drums to sound like. I also refurbish drums and so I have to be economically wise in my choices. These heads are the goods! (I'm actually about to re-order another 4-pack as soon as I submit this review!
