PRS DGT Electric Guitar with Bird Inlays - Gold Top Reviews

Solidbody Electric Guitar with Mahogany Body, Maple Top, Mahogany Neck, East Indian Rosewood Fingerboard, 2 Humbucking Pickups, and Vibrato - Gold Top

The PRS DGT is a vibrato-equipped solidbody guitar designed to the specifications of ace guitarist David Grissom. This beautiful guitar features a carved, figured maple top with a mahogany back, and a 25" scale. You'll find this slightly smaller version of the PRS wide-fat neck extremely comfortable. The DGT's mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and jumbo frets deliver huge tone, whether you're playing rhythm or lead. You also get Grissom's preferred humbucking pickups, wiring, and control layout: two volume knobs plus a tone pot with a push-pull coil split. Ready to rock? You'll be well-equipped with the PRS DGT.

PRS DGT GOLD TOP WOW

By Trevorr Nourse from Bentonville, AR on March 9, 2023 Music Background: 40 plus years

This PRS guitar model has been around for a while, however the wait is long. Just received the incredible guitar a few days ago, just amazing. I did request the setup, which is not the same as the 55 Point check. Plays like a dream, came in perfect and in tune. I have several PRS guitars to include Customer 24, Custom 22 and Silver Sky, call Core.
The DGT Pickups are my fav compared to the Custom 24/22.
Neck is thinner and wide, fits me perfectly. Tuning stability is really good.
PRS and David Grissom created something wonderful.

As usual Sweetwater nailed it with customer service as did my go to guy Brendan Murphy.

Righteous Mojo and Righteous Customer Service

By Richard "Rick" Wright from Southwest Virginia on May 22, 2020 Music Background: Guitar lover for over 25 years

I have bought many guitars and amps from Drew Foster, Sweetwater's most experienced Customer Service Rep and whom I consider a personal friend, and he scored me the last PRS David Grissom Tremolo Artist(mine is in Blue
Jean Fade, beautiful)If you are looking for blazing Mojo tone like you've never heard before, then look up David Grissom, Austin, Texas. You won't have trouble finding him, he is very famous in the guitar world, and this guitar is his personal collaboration with Mr. Paul. I have Gibsons , Fenders, Rickenbackers, and Dusenbergs,
trust me, you wont find another workhorse tone monster like the DGT for all things electric, and Drew Foster is
the man you want to consult in getting you to your dreams. Both together made me a very happy man!

PRS DGT

By Dennis on September 17, 2022 Music Background: 50 years playing and recording as a second job.

64 years old. Never liked the sound of any PRS to date. They have always been beautiful and well made, but just not musical to me. Thought I would give this instrument a try due to Grissom's comments about what he was shooting for in the development process. I have had it for three weeks and I think this is a ground breaking instrument. It hits the marks it needs to hit. It is not a LP, Tele or strat. But it in the mix of a song it sounds very musical. It just works. PRS should be proud. Now there is a new instrument, not banged up when purchased, that plays like a new instrument, but can get an old and a new sound. What is not to like? Well done!
I am withholding the fifth star due to the fretboard finish, it seems a bit grainy. Could have been smoother. But works fine.
