Dunlop System 65 Complete Guitar and Bass Setup Tool Kit
Dunlop System 65 Complete Guitar and Bass Setup Tool Kit Reviews
The System 65 Complete Guitar and Bass Setup Kit packs all the tools you need for fine-tuning your instrument’s action, performance, and more. The System 65 Kit is trusted by pros for guitar, bass, and more. It’s also a great way for aspiring techs to jump into the world of setups with one simple purchase. This kit has everything you need, and then some. There’s a compact string cutter and speedwinder for quick string changes, a hex key multi-tool, a multi-head screwdriver, and a multi-spanner wrench for tweaking hardware and removing parts, as well as essential polishing cloths and cleaners. When it comes to fretboard adjustments and string height, the kit includes two fret collars (.080-inch, .125-inch) for easy polishing and a string action gauge for measuring fast with precision. Sweetwater players especially appreciate the inclusion of a Gig Light, a handy item for gigging artists and techs who often need to work on gear in dark venues at a moment’s notice.
Wow. Not what i expected.
I'll keep the flashlight string height tool and the winder. The rest I will chalk it up to the do more research and 86 them. Fret tools are lethal making them useless. I am sorry but this kit is more of a cleaning kit. The tools are absolutely useless. Cool case.
Updated review
After using these more consistently, very few things are of good quality. The lube applicator is kind of useless, the multi tool is awkward and can't actually be used to adjust a truss rod without taking strings off (with a top mounted rod, not a vintage style at the neck) and even then is missing some of the things I'd expect. I got a rounded hex head set from the hardware store that is 10x better
String winder is good, string cutter is nice, Dunlop solution and cloth are standard. The wrench is weird and I just use sockets. String action gauge is used often
Fret collars should be called fret blades.
The fret collars included in these Dunlop kits have sharp jagged edges that cut and dig into your fretboard.
The Roasted Maple fretboard on my AZ224 is now essentially ruined thanks to this product.
Save yourself the headache and just use masking tape.
