We started with the cheap models, which were nice ... but not great. As we worked toward the higher end models, the sounds and actions kept improving as you'd expect, but no flash of light hit us. Then we came up to the CN301 and all of a sudden our experience changed abruptly. The sound quality was noticeably better given the ingenious tech of incorporating the speakers in a sound board to mimic natural acoustic resonance. The "Responsive Hammer Action III" (RH3) keybed felt very nice and natural as well (It's also used on the Nord Grand/Grand 2). We were both sold on it. Then, I noticed the DG30 across the room, went over and played on it (I do jazz). It was love at first sound. The DG30 basically is a baby grand version of the CN301, but comes with a much heftier price tag. Is it just the cabinet? No. The sound is even more incredible than the CN. Even though the action is the same RH3, it felt different to me... better. I just loved it. Short version - we bought the DG30 and it sounds amazing in the church. Me? I loved it so much, I bought one for myself 6 months later. It is by far the best digital I have ever owned, including 3 Yamahas and a Nord Piano 5. My only regret is not being able to take it with me on gigs. Incidentally, the craftsmanship is remarkable in all respects. The finish is spectacular. But don't take my word on any of this, or that of other reviewers. Just find one and play on it. That's all it will take. You can't help but love this gem.
