Washburn Deep Forest Ebony ACE Acoustic-electric Guitar - Natural Reviews

6-string Acoustic-electric Guitar with Ebony Top, Okoume Back and Sides, Mahogany Neck, and Engineered Wood Fingerboard - Natural

The Washburn Deep Forest Ebony ACE is a fine-looking acoustic-electric guitar with comfortable playability and an ear-grabbing, modern voice. This 6-string acoustic features an okoume back and sides capped by a head-turning striped ebony top, resulting in clear, articulate sound with ample low-end muscle. What's more, the Deep Forest Ebony ACE's Auditorium-sized body delivers an outstanding blend of balance and projection, and its ergonomic cutaway makes reaching upper frets a piece of cake. You also get a rock-solid mahogany neck and an easy-playing fingerboard. And when it comes time to hit the stage, a Barcus-Berry LX-4 preamp ensures top-quality plugged-in tone. If you're looking for an alternative to the typical spruce-topped acoustic guitar, the Deep Forest Ebony ACE is guaranteed to please.

Really Good!

By Eric from Vermont on December 25, 2021 Music Background: 32 year novice

So this isn't as good as past washburns at this price point, but it does have a great unique sound which is why I buy washburn. I own 5 washburn acoustics.

Ive owned multiple top end Taylors and sold them all because their sound is so vanilla. Thr ACE is heavier than past GA styles bodies, but I think this is due to the Woods. We have gigged several times now ith it, and plugged in it sounds fantastic. I think once it's been played a while and gets a few adjustments from my luthiar..it'll be just perfect.

Guitars at this price are gonna need adjustments. They won't be Taylor perfect, but if you make the adjustments you'll have a much more unique sound.

Disappointing

Came with a rattle. So returned. But it didn't play well. Sharp frets. Very heavy wood btw. Poor sound as well.
