This adapter works great!

Works Great

By Paul from Menifee, CA on March 26, 2017 Music Background: Professional for many years

This is the adapter that allows me to use my DPA 4099 with the Sennheiser Digital wireless system.
The sound I am able to achieve is the absolute best acoustic live sound I have ever heard. And without the adapter I would not be able to have the freedom of the wireless.

I guess non-professionals will whine about the cost but I am very pleased with the product.

The DPA mike and the wireless will become the gold standard for acoustic guitar sound on stage. And I have tried everything including the Fishman system and the LR Baggs (along with their pre-amps). I have also tried the Taylor, Martin and Gibson systems and always found them lacking. The only thing that compares is using a high end condenser on stage but then you cannot move.

Purchased this to use my dpa 4099v with a sennheiser xs series wireless belt pack and it works great. Not happy about the price of it, but it works.

DPA DAD6034

Aric, at Sweetwater gets 5 stars for excellent customer service!

The DPA DAD6034 works fine; however, the price point is ridiculous. That's simply wrong. 1.5 stars for DPA for either price gouging or not using the technological prowess they are famous for to develop an adapter that can be produced at a more affordable price point.

It will likely break soon

By Sweetwater Customer on August 18, 2021

We are on our 2nd adapter. Sweetwater replaced our first adapter, dpa replaced our second adapter, so I guess there's that. However, it is less than optimal when you have an event and you have a bad mic.

Cheap Quality Overall

By Cody from Orlando, Fl on February 3, 2016 Music Background: 15 yrs Pro Exp.

I haven't seen the other reviews to see what people have said about this product, but for my situation it is not a good thing.
Let me get this aside before I talk about this actual product, DPA should be ashamed of themselves for charging what they do for their microphones and then making everyone spend another $100 for the adapter to use the microphone. This is ridiculous to me, as it should be to almost everyone else out there. Every other major company in the market gives the buyer the model option to pick the mic to match the system. Not DPA. This is a company that already charges $600-700 for a microphone, that is worth that price overall, but then forces us to pay an absurd $100 for an adapter. Wow guys, that is low.
My issue with this adapter, other than the price being charged for it, is that it has a very simple design in the adapter that is in the shape of an S. If you twist the mic onto the adapter onto the body pack the S breaks and/or twists. This breaks the adapter. This is my second adapter and I found this out when our Sr. Pastor twisted it to make sure it was tight, then suddenly we do not have our main microphone for our Sunday service for 1500 people. We also have bad audio for our television broadcast for 20k households because we are using a backup mic. Thank you DPA for making a part that forces me to spend budget money on something multiple times instead of being a good steward of God's money. This kept me from ordering other things we needed last year. No adapter should be $100 especially one made lacking endurance such as this. Ever.
