Being a keyboard player, I was looking for a seat that would offer the height needed to reach my keyboards, and allow me to swivel as needed. Just used this for 2 hours straight and no muscle or any other issues.
Sturdy, well built; works well for my needs- just need to find the right position on the seat while playing.

This drum throne is not adequate in my opinion. The actual seat attaches via 4 screws on a narrower base and does not support most of the full diameter of the top seat. I weigh only 150lbs and can hear it creaking and feel it flexing. To make things even worse, the actual seat cushion is hard as a brick. I ended up buying a round gel pad for it. By the time you add up the cost for the gel pad, do yourself a favor and buy a better throne.

I am not a drummer and have no experience with other thrones, so I have nothing to compare this one to. I do not plan to use this gigging and I think it will serve my needs in my studio. I'm sure there are better thrones, but this one works for me. I feel that the threads on the adjustments would probably strip if overtightened, but that's true for a lot of bolt-type clamps. I was on a tight budget for drum equipment and that also influenced my choice. Not bad, for the price.

I bought this item because I've seen other people use similar stools at rifle matches. The seats at the ranges just don't fit everybody so it pays to have your own adjustable seat.
I'm quite sure I'm going to enjoy it.

Overall, I am pleased with the throne. I was a little hesitant at first because I have not had good luck with thrones in the past, so I was just using a stool. However, I felt I wasn't sitting in the correct position on said stool. So, I decided to take a chance and get this, glad I did. Still feels a little flimsy to me, I am 300 pounds at the moment of writing this, but, I don't feel as though it will give out of me. If you are looking for a drum throne, I would get this, for sure.

I am happy. Considering the price of drum thrones, this was very affordable and I am happy. Sure there are thicker & softer pads, and air lifts, but you pay dearly. This is a happy medium between beefy solid construction and affordability, at the cost of some softness of the pad. But to be honest, once playing I don't notice or care how thick the pad is. I worry about playing. Unless I were doing a 6hr jam session perhaps...

This Pearl throne is average at best. Feels flimsy and uncomfortable. Save your money and go for the TAMA 1st Chair throne. Since I am a small guy I need the extra padding that the TAMA has. Way too expensive here!

It was given as a gift and received very well. Great product.
