I don't write this review lightly, this is hands down the best acoustic guitar I've ever heard period, it's loud, resonant, articulate and sustains for days. It has an absolutely beautiful tone. I've owned this guitar for a year now and it has gotten nothing but better. I've put this up against J-45s, D-18s, and D-28s and this won every time. I don't know why this particular setup with tone woods that Larrivee decided to use on this model works so well, add a set of quality bone bridge pins and it kicks in a whole new gear of tone. Now just to note the action on mine was a little high for my taste, no big deal though, super easy adjustment, the sweet spot imo is 4/64 on the high E at the 12th and 5/64 on the low E at the 12th. If you don't play alot on the upper register you could go a 64th higher on the high and low side at the 12th and you wouldn't notice a difference. I've run the gambit of strings on this, For me the best sounding strings for this guitar are Elixir phosphor-bonze nano-web 12-53. If your on the fence on which acoustic to get, you will not go wrong with this guitar, it is simply amazing, this is a keeper for sure. I would definitely buy this again if something happened to mine. there's a reason these are hard to find on the used market, no-one lets them go...lol, there that good...
