Gotta love the Brits
Thanks to my sales engineer, Alex Verbitskiy, I made a very good choice with the Laney Cub-Super12, 15W tube amp. As a life-long drummer who very much enjoys exploring electric guitar and feeling the need to add a tube amp to the family, Alex steered me into the Kingdom of Laney. This amp sounds gorgeous! Having the option to switch between the 15w and the 1w inputs is very attractive because I can get stellar sound quality at a lower volume in my apartment. Also, the raw, on-board reverb this amp has takes the cake. Warm and natural. So, whether playing with or without FX pedals, the music creation adventure is always inspired. Thank you, Alex, Sweetwater and Laney!
Awesome little amp
I am not a gigging musician. Just a guy at home with guitars. The two wattage options on this little amp make it great for playing at home. Going full 15w gives it plenty of volume if I were at the studio. Great tone for a small package.
Mighty Mite
I downsized from a Laney LT112 20 watt. I never turned the 20 more than 6. Even when the Bass player was drunk and playing loud. Which means I could never turn wide open to get the tubes shimmering. With the Super cub I play on the 1 watt plug in ( thats right ... ONE watt) set on 9. And I play in a working band classic rock/ country/ bar band. Plenty left on the Boost knob for much more volume. And it weights 25 pounds. Love,Love,Love
Laney cub super 12
Great sound and tone. More gain would be nice. But the best amp I've had so far.
