Made my son’s Christmas!
Coming from a family of musicians, I can still remember the first time I saw my first PRS guitar. My uncle having autographed Les Paul's and other Unicorns that only now at 36 I can fully understand and appreciate I was never "drawn" to them so to speak. However, I do recall the first time he opened up a case and I saw the birds that changed my life. Something about those birds and the sound that only a PRS produces, it truly is my Unicorn brand and always will be. I wanted my son to have that experience that I did. Sure enough, Christmas 2023 was a success. The guitar is so well constructed and you can hear it while playing. For the price, you will not be disappointed. It will definitely be in his arsenal for years to come and makes for delicious wall candy while mounted. Big shout out to Corey, my sales engineer who made this all possible and always has my best interest. Cannot praise him enough. For those on the fence, buy the birds and feel the mystique that only a PRS brings.
Great Guitar
Was looking for a Custom 24 with an ebony fingerboard. Just so happened to find this one in my favorite color as a Sweetwater exclusive color and with a quilt veneer instead of flame. Guitar played great out of the box. It had a couple high frets that I had to fix in order to lower the action where I like it, but that was easy for me to take care of. I had never played an SE Custom 24 before, and was surprised by how good the pickups sounded. It has quickly become one of my favorites.
What I would expect from PRS
The quilt in this guitar is beautiful. As a woodworker, I really appreciate the look.
The fit and finish is what I've come to expect from PRS.
It sounds great, especially when plugged into my Blackstar Club 40 amp. It's a great combination.
I'm considering another one in a different color just for fun.
