Seagull Guitars Coastline Momentum Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Natural Reviews
The word "momentum" describes something in motion, and the Seagull Guitars Coastline Momentum acoustic-electric guitar is aptly named. Its solid cedar top combines with its dreadnought shape to deliver sweet, responsive tone with powerful projection, while its wild cherry back and sides contribute a large helping of sustain and articulation. And when it's time to hit the stage, the Coastline Momentum's Fishman Sonitone electronics ensure that you'll experience great-sounding, high-output amplification. The Seagull Guitars Coastline Momentum acoustic-electric guitar's integrated set neck and compound curved top yield excellent tuning stability, resonance, and volume.

Exceded my expectations
Out of the box, the intonation was perfect (A First ever for me). and I do mean perfect.
The guitar was also in tune! I think it comes with .012s. It has a strong harmonic quality that i like and for an out of the box guitar it plays pretty well.
Very high quality/price ratio
Godin, who makes Seagull, Art & Lutherie, Norman and La Patrie in the village of La Patrie in Quebec (Godin electric models are made in Montreal) makes some of the best "lower priced" guitars on the planet in my opinion. They have brands like Taylor and Martin beat by a mile or should be say 1.6km given their origin at the price point they sell at. I believe a lot has to do with their own locally sourced wild cherry, cedar and spruce and the fact the guitars are made in a small village where practically the entire village works for Godin, there is not a lot of turnover in staff.
This model is my third Godin guitar and while there are certainly better guitars on the market not much can touch it at the price for the quality of sound and fit and finish.

Plays like butter
This is the easiest cording and best sounding acoustic guitar I've ever owned and I have owned several higher end guitars. You can't go wrong with this guitar.
Can’t put it down
Very nice flawless plays like a million bucks and it smelled good too! (Wood) plays and sounds better than a 2200 $ fancier guitar (cedar top to) great tonality across the scale will recommend!
i own many big name acoustic guitars, and i cant put this small name guitar down.
the tone quality of this is right up there with 3k $ guitars, the playability is right up there to, the cedar top really tones down the brightness of the wild cherry back & sides, for a really good middle of the the road balance between bass and high ranges, the craftmanship is really impressive for this price range, its hard to describe the sound of a guitars tone in words, but in my opinion this model has IT,
It’s the Best
1. Shipped perfectly.
2. Flawless finish
3. Frets ends are smooth as a a top of the line
4. Being a cedar top, I love the sound
5. Returned a Epiphone "Texan", this Seagull is twice the
Guitar
6. It plays like a million bucks
7. I LOVE IT
Plays and sounds like a thousand (plus) dollar guitar
I was looking for a guitar I could play casually at home as well as part of the church worship team. I previously owned a Seagull S6 so this was basically an upgrade. The guitar is beautiful. The finish is stunning and all of the appointments look tremendous. It has an extremely warm and rich sound. I've heard some people are put off by the smaller headstock, but truly it has never bothered me. I'd recommend this guitar to anyone. My sales engineer Riley was first class and EXTREMELY helpful. Thanks Riley and Sweetwater!
Seagull Guitars Coastline Momentum
Just received my Seagull today, couldn't be more satisfied! Packaged well was still in tune when I got her fully unwrapped. So far I am quite impressed with her playability and tone. Thanks Mike for the recommendation! I had asked about affordable American or Japanese guitars when I was made aware that Seagulls are handmade in Canada. I feel good about my purchase and Sweetwater has earned by continued patronage.
Just what I was looking for!!
For me, I was looking for a mid-range AE with warmth and great projection. My Sweetwater sales engineer Dustin Keesbury recommended checking out the Seagull line. After watching every video out there on Seagull, and having tried one of their models out at a local guitar store, I decided on the Momentum. I un-boxed it today, and am still smiling about the guitar. Beautiful finish, warm sound, and it plays like I've owned it for years. The best part? The guitar sounds like the video on Sweetwater's product page. When buying a guitar without playing it, you can be disappointed some of the time. In this case, everything you watch or read about this guitar is true. I'm so looking forward to the coming days as I play away on it. Awesome guitar!! Fabulous service!!
Outstanding Value
I purchased this guitar second hand from a gentleman that originally bought it from Sweetwater. The guitar was in perfect condition, and the quality of materials used in its construction was evident the minute I picked it up and played it. The build quality is exceptional, and it reminds me of the Gibson J15, (which is another outstanding guitar). The tone is vibrant and defined without any of the lifeless and thin sound that a lot of its price point competitors exhibit. It does not exhibit the bottom end "thud" of the J-15 when strummed, however, it produces a sound that is, to me, outstanding when fingerpicked. The neck has a comfortable carve, similar to a Taylor neck, and the wider nut makes Travis picking easier and more comfortable for me. The tuners are quality pieces, and the nut and saddle are very well done. The pickup sounds similar to other acoustic pickups, and is easy to use. I initially was, and continue to be, very impressed with the attention to detail that is evident on this instrument. Nice job Godin! A quality guitar at an excellent price.
Wow Its a wonderful guitar
Received the Seagull yesterday and was dumbfounded to find it was still in perfect tune after a 300 mile journey in a cold Fed Ex truck!
Checked it out and its a beautiful instrument! Tried finger picking, strumming and then used a pick. It sounded fantastic with whichever style I used. Beautiful bass and a real pleasing high end. The resonance from the beautiful Cedar top and wild Cherry body is superb!
THis guitar gets a max rating from me. Sounds better than many of the higher priced guitars I have tried. Kudos to Seagull for producing a great playing guitar at a reasonable price! Also thanks to Sweetwater to working with me on the selection of this beautiful guitar
I like it!
The wider 1.8 inch nut width is why I was interested and I didnt much care about the rest of the details then it arrived and i was knocked out! More bang for the buck than anything else out there.
Simply a great guitar
This is simply a great guitar. it is very simple, but the tone and play-ability are both superb. Surprising for the price. I love it. I have bought and sold way too many guitars in my 30 years of playing. This one isn't going anywhere.
