Form and function
I found this mic at NAMM and fell in love with the way it made my voice sound. With the Cloudlifter Zi added on, I get a ton of tone that I can dial in to my liking.
This microphone is FIRE
The Cloud 44 has become a fast favorite of mine. It sounds incredible on vocals, but one of my favorite applications for this mic is drums. It makes a great kick microphone for a super punchy response. Also have used a matched pair for stereo recordings and they sound incredible. Great all around tool!
Breaking through the digital
I still cannot believe how good this mic is. You will hear nothing hyped or dull. This mic somehow gives the most organic sound I've heard in ANY mic...condenser, ribbon or dynamic. This mic does take TIME to learn its sounds. It's almost like learning a new musical instrument. The cloudlifter included in the package is pretty sweet. I tend to use tube pre amps that have lots of gain, so I normally don't think about a tool like the cloudlifter. But in practice, the 44-a has a bit more smoothness and size when using the included cloudlifter. The picture does not do this mic justice. It feels, sounds and just VIBES unlike anything else in my mic closet. I'm saving up to get a second one.
Game changer
Love this mic the included black cloud lifter is a great touch. The 44 passive is a great mic on just about anything you can throw at it country rap rock from vocals to drums it's a must have if you are serious about sound.
