If you want to make music but get away from the screen and mouse, look no further, a very intuitive and tactile interface, fun to play with, very capable and fair pricing.

I use it to build my tracks structure, using the drum tracks and the synth tracks as bass + sugar, leaving the harmonic ryhtm or leads for my novation summit, iwch i sent to the inputs of circuits to integrate. The only reason i dont give it 5 stars is because i wish the midi tracks were extra synths tracks, but im sure many use the midi in their workflow!

Packed with features like a Swiss Army knife, but doesn't gel as an instrument for me. Portability was the main draw, but it just isn't any fun compared to other devices and groove boxes I have. If I need a travel toy, I'll bring something more enjoyable to play with me. Initiating a return.

Traveling for gigs is getting expensive. I wanted to downsize my gear and this was perfect! With a Drum Machine, Sequencer, 2 midi channels, and an audio-in, this has it all!

Once you learn the interface, it becomes sooo fun to use.

My one fear is losing all my tracks/ songs to a crash, battery, or memory failure so I bounce all the tracks to stems in my DAW.

The Novation Circuit Tracks is by far the greatest groovebox ever built. I bought the original Circuit the week it came out in 2015, fell in love instantly, and over the years trained myself to sequence better parts. The Circuit Tracks is a fantastic follow up with two additional MIDI lanes, newly added scene functionality, and an expanded sequencer featuring step duration for each individual pattern. The sound engine appears the same as on the original Circuit but the original Circuit had a bit of digital hum to it and that has completely been removed. The delay and reverb effects are quite useful at low settings for creating ambience and at longer settings quite useful at creating washes of sound. All the knobs make real-time tweaking a joy and all the macro knobs can be recorded in your sequences for looped use. The Novation Components editor is quite good for patch design and as a librarian for backing up your sessions. I wasn't able to use my microSD card with this, as it wouldn't usually stay in and, when I did get it in, it would not copy my entire session to a new session slot. I do think this was a defect of my unit and not a consistent hardware error. This thing is great for the studio and perfect for DAWless jams but my dream is to really get nitty gritty with it and tour with it. I believe that's what Novation would want.

I got mine several months ago. I am just now beginning to understand how to use it. I'm an old fart so it took awhile. This younger generation will probably get it in a few minutes. All in all it is a brilliant little machine. I have it slaved (midi) to a 20+ year old Yamaha keyboard. The possibilities are endless. It can be used as a stand alone unit or in a studio setup like mine. Inexpensive, powerful, portable. What's not to love?!

I've known about the circuits for years, but the screenless interface kept me from trying one. I was looking for something that could be a simple pattern sequencer and drum machine for small, dawless setups that change regularly. I wanted something where I could vary the arrangement easily while being mostly free to play other synthesizers or guitars. Something like an MPC One or an Elektron box seemed like overkill and too much menu diving.

For what I needed... the Circuit Tracks turned out to be perfect. The interface and workflow was much more intuitive than I expected, and I can use the scenes to alter arrangements easily on the fly. I have to say... I wish I'd tried it sooner.

There are obvious limitations to the capabilities. Simplicity of operation means you sacrifice some fine control. But we all have DAWs for when we need fine control these days. It's about the easiest to use and cheapest centerpiece for small, dawless setups you can find.

i have had this since the first shipments went out. i absolutely love it. i broke up with my band to just play the tracks.

I'm on a quest for a 32-pad stand-alone finger drum machine. This one wasn't it. The synth can play all 32-pads at once for chromatic synth, but not 32 assignable samples. For drums you either get 2x8 pads with 2x8 step sequencer, or combine 4-pads for each drum sample track. The manual says all 32 can play, it just omits that it's only for synth.

It's a cool box - you get a lot of functionality and onboard sounds in a small footprint and a great price - but it didn't work for me.

This is a great machine for beginner. Could use a little bit more instructions on software included. But overall good machine

Great Groove box, with a lot of tricks up its sleeves. Comes with a built in battery, charge doesn't take too long, lasts about 4 hours of constant use. I have not tried this with external midi, but overall, some beefy adjustments can be making including Reverb and Delay.
You get 1 pack, built in, then 2 additional packs online you can download for free. Synth online as well to create your own packs. Tip, use Audacity to trim your samples. Lights brighter in person than on Videos about this unit. Once you learn the logic, very easy to get up and running.

I have had so much fun with this device! It was easy to learn how to modify the sounds on the pads and start enjoying it right away. It is fun also because it is so different than so many other devices like this. The novation software can be used to load new sounds into the device and that made it even better!

I'm super happy with my purchase, extensive inspection and everything in the unit is absolutely perfect, no doubt Sweetwater's standards are the best on the market, period!.

The unit is easy to operate, really comfy and inspiring, extremely portable and very capable of growl and screamy sounds with proper sound design inside the Components software, extremely happy with it

The centerpiece of my small workflow, with the simple interface I can go from idea to full jam in about 10 minutes. Perfect for quickly getting beats and jams set and ready to go.

I liken this synth to a day at Disneyland here in California. Your first visit, "This is it?" but then you walk further down that little street and it opens up to something much bigger. The Circuit Tracks does that. I"m a synth person this is the first pad I bought and I didn't really get it at first but there's a lot you can do with it. And who doesn't like pushing buttons? I had a glitch, the SD card they listed (32GB SAmsung) didn't work. The card must be Fat32, Sandisk 32gb card did work and since I have Factory Preset, 2 Free Packs (from Novation, just added) and a 3rd from a YT influencer. But you can make your own, the Components site from Novation is top notch and it comes with a 2 OSC synthesizer, but you can add your own samples as well and it's mind blowing.

I Love this little box but.....
It should be stated the you have to tweak what you record on the synth and midi tracks to get your bass line or pads to sound the same as you played it. It cuts off drone notes at the end of every measure. This gets really frustrating when you want to quickly get your ideas down. It take you out of flow state to have to fix this. You play a killer bass line only to have it gated and chopped up at the end of your recording. You have to fix by going back to every note step and extend it into the next measure. This makes it no use for live performing. Also forget using this thing out side in the sun. You wont be able to see the lights very well. There are many things I hope they get right with firmware updates.

On the plus side its highly portable, great battery life and the sample flipping makes the four drum tracks sound like way more. For the price the is very well one of the best groove boxes out there.

Novation please please please fix the drone note issue. That would make me change my review to five stars. Thats the biggest issue i have. It connects great with other gear but this begs to be used live but at present you cant do that. If im on stage building a track with my micro korg I have no time to tweak my bass lines and pads. Ill loose my audience.

Fixing this issue alone will make this the best gear to pair with my micro korg. Everything can run of batteries then....

This is a ton of fun and has some great synth sounds and lots of capabilities. great sequencer as well. small learning curve but then it is very intuitive

What a fun instrument! I have volcas and a microfreak, and the Tracks was a perfect addition. I was hooked up and making music in no time at all. I was surprised at how easy it was to hook up other instrument and mix them into the Tracks.

This little unit packs a big punch! It has a ton of factory patches on the synth channels that just blaze, and the drum channels are perfect for synthwave, hip hop, and even metal/rock. The onboard effects get to Strymon/Eventide territories with a little noodling. This is easily the best money I have ever spent, hands down!
