Fender 2-button Footswitch for Channel Select and Effects On/Off Reviews

This is the third foot switch I've ordered, it arrived not working. Paul helped getting me to customer service and the problem was solved quickly and easily. Sweetwater replaced it and it arrived in two days. The replacement is perfect and I now have foot switches on my three main amps. A big thanks to Paul and everyone at Sweetwater. DON

Purchased this with my Fender Champion 40 . Now I'm all clicked up .

Got my fender new 2 button foot switch today. Works great. Lets me play and not have to stop to switch channels. I should have got this when I bought The fender champion 50 xl. They go good together. Again thanks Patrick and the folks at sweet water for every thing. Ya the best.

I picked this up for my Fender Champion 40 and it works as it should. Highly recommend you add this to your cart when you buy a Champion amp; it is a must-have for any player.

I bought a used Fender champion 100 watt and it didn't have the foot switch to go with it. After looking around and even ordering one from Amazon, they couldn't ship it for some reason, ( most likely broken) so I was left with no peddle for my amp. Sweetwater came through for me and I got it the next day in perfect condition, packaged very well. I usually have done most of my guitar buying from American Musical because of the no credit check, but after having such a positive experience with Sweetwater I am going to be getting my next guitar from them. Can't say enough good thing's about this company and will for sure be doing more business with them again. I just ordered a set of locking tuner's for my American Pro HSS Stratocaster so I'll be seeing them tomorrow . Thank's Sweetwater for being such as reputable co.

IF YOU OWN A CHAMPION 40 OR 100, THIS IS THE CORRECT FOOT SWITCH FOR THOSE AMPS.
THERE IS A MISPRINT IN THE CHAMP 40 OWNER MANUAL SO DO NOT ORDER THE FOOT SWITCH P/N THAT IS LISTED IN THE OWNER MANUAL. IT IS FOR THE SUPER CHAMP XD AND X2 AMPS BUT WILL ALSO WORK WITH THE NEWER CHAMPION AMPS.

I JUST GOT A CHAMP 40 LAST WEEK AND THIS PEDAL WORKS GREAT ALONG WITH THE BLUES JUNIOR AMP COVER. IT FITS REALLY CLOSE TO PERFECT BUT I GUESS THAT IS FOR ANOTHER REVIEW.

I bought this pedal for my Fender Champ 40 Watt and it works great. You can use it to put effects on or off but I mostly use it for Channel Switching, from Fender clean to crunchy overdrive. If your using a Fender Champ Series Amp get this pedal, you won't regret it.

This is a must have if you are using anything from the Champion line.

It's very nice to be able to change channels and/or turn the effects on and off. This pedal is made out of quality steel. Should last a lifetime.

I honestly was expecting this foot switch to be made of plastic and not last long. It is made of a mix of metals and should easily last a long time.

I'm shaving off half a star simply because this should be included with the amp. It allows you to change the channels AND models while you are playing. The build quality is great, and it does what it is supposed to do. But I can't see how a player would get the most out of this amp without this pedal.

That said, if you buy the Super Champ X2 Combo, make sure to also buy this bad boy because it is sold separately.

If you have a Super Champ XD you need this to maximize its use in live performance situations by letting you switch between channels and bring effects in and out. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that I think this is so important that it should be part of the Super Champ XD package, even if it means a small price hike and going over the $300 street price point.

I use this pedal on my Fender Champion 40 amplifier. Solid, aluminum design, toggle switches have a nice click, and LED indicators on the top. My only con is the bottom isn't completely flat because of the black plastic on the side, so it slides on hardwood flooring and it isn't the easiest to mount on a pedalboard.

This is the correct footswitch for a Fender Champion 40 amp! It has taken forever to receive one due to limited production because of the coronavirus I suppose, but I'm glad it finally got here. The body is metal but the side caps are plastic, although they seem pretty durable. I had a slight issue with the retaining hex nut holding the cable port...the threads are not exposed far enough through the side cap for the nut to be tightened sufficiently so it won't come loose. I hand tightened the nut as much as I could without stripping the threads but I'm sure I'll have to check it from time to time so it doesn't fall off and get lost. The CH SELECT button switches the amp between the clean and the effects channel. The EFFECTS button only turns the effects on or off. You cannot cycle through the available effects with this switch, which is the reason I assigned a 4 star rating. This requires you to set the effect you want to use before starting a song and then change the effect setting manually for the next song on your list...only one effect at a time can be switched on or off. You can't always get what you want...but if you try sometime, you get what you need!!!

The Champion footswitch pedal is a great option to have. You can easily switch between the 2 channels, using two different guitars if you prefer and you can shut the effects off also if you prefer. I wish that it came standard with the amp instead of having to purchase it extra. However, it is very affordable.

THIS IS AN EXACT DUPLICATE, INEXPENSIVE PEDAL FOR A RELATIVELY INEXPENSIVE AMP.
THE SAME ORIGINAL PEDAL I HAD LASTED 8 YEARS BEFORE THE EFFECTS BUTTON FAILED.
IT'S WORTH THE MONEY.

I agree with a previous reviewer that the foot switch should be included with the super champ amp, or at least suggested, even if it increases the price slightly.

Was not in stock when ordered, 1 to 2 month lead time from manufacturer that actually got delivered after 3 weeks. Sturdy outside construction. Small rattle inside. A cold solder joint broke loose from the internal circuit board and was free to fall around inside the case. Working upon arrival but with the loose solder joint I'm not overly impressed with the quality or lack there of and will probably have to inspect the circuit board sometime. This pedal expands what you can do with the amp head and is a good add on choice. I just wish they were made better with better quality controls to catch things like loose solder joints.

Have to wait 30 days ( or more?) to get a footswitch. (not in stock). Otherwise, sweetwater is very, very, competent and reliable. I will be patient. do recommend sweetwater..
