IMMERSIVE and ADDICTIVE
IMMERSIVE and ADDICTIVE. Immersive was my wife's phrase actually. Addictive was yours truly. And, she listens to music passively. She would have another phrase if she knew how much this cost! First, I have to say that the source is an Astell & Kern SR25. Stupid Expensive and more eq settings than I have ever seen. 2 pages worth! 2nd the Focal was my 2nd headphone purchase. I actually bought Meze Neo. The reviews were very good and inexpensive. I tested them on a YouTube channel which goes through different frequencies. According to the test graphics, the MEZE's were remarkable. I didn't like them at all. I wanted to like them but didn't. I reached out to a paid reviewer to ask what am not hearing with the Meze's that has great reviews. I tried them in the A&K and 3 different synth workstations and didn't like them. 2 different companies told me my ears are a blessing and a curse. So here come the Focal Celestee. Plugged them into the AK SR25 and O M G! These made the A&K worth the money which I wasn't sure about. They actually made me like music that I normally do not! Really that good. Music is VERY important to me. You don't know me but trust when I say music is VERY important to me. I never thought I'd spend that kind of money on headphones. I did and it is well worth to me. You be the judge.
Pros: For myself, they are everything.
Cons: Had to think about where to hide the receipt!

I actually bought Meze Neo. The reviews were very good and it was inexpensive. I tested them on a YouTube channel which goes through different frequencies and measures sound quality. Beautiful packaging, gorgeous design and amazing feel.
Plugged them into the AK SR25 and O M G! These made the A&K worth the money, which I had been second guessing. The Celestte actually made me like music that I normally do not which is a big statement! Really that good!
The detail is such that listening to classical piano, I actually heard the foot pedals which was amazing and distracting! Music is VERY important to me. You don't know me but trust when I say music is VERY important to me. I never thought I'd spend that kind of money on headphones. I did and it was well worth to me. You be the judge.
Only con is that I am afraid to scratch them, so I keep them in the amazing shell they came in. They will be in the same condition 5 years from now as they are today. I am OCD that way. I still have the plastic protective cover on my 2014 Yamaha Motif XF8 that I bought here.
Great percussion sound
All I can say ,great soundstage the treble and midrange are so mellow and not hipped at all , no edges at all . The bass you can feel it in the center of you head . They feel great and sound so good if you own any other set of headphone sen 600 650 buyer Dt 1770 sony and nh 20 ,you will find you shelf going to these focal.I own the focal mg clear pros if you can afford them they have a wider sound stage 180 vs 120 deg my opinion a little better bass end . When I compare both focal I like the mg clears but it hard to tell them apart . For both headphones it like taking yourstudio monitors with you anywhere you go. I love these headphone and would not part with them .Thanks focal and sweeter water.
