Alvarez CYM75 Yairi Masterworks Classical Acoustic Guitar - Natural Reviews
From extensive research and development to seasoned tonewoods and master luthiery, Alvarez offers the guitar world something different with the CYM75 Yairi Masterworks Series Classical acoustic. Developed thanks to a partnership between Alvarez and the Yairi family of luthiers in Kani, Japan, the CYM75 Classical benefits from a rich, AAA-grade, western red cedar top, and East Indian rosewood back and sides that contribute to its focused, full-bodied tone. What’s more, through innovations in bracing, this CYM75 Yairi Classical features a hand-carved fan bracing system that compliments its classical body shape with prodigious projection. Other aspects like a one-piece mahogany neck, a Direct Coupled Bridge, and an easy-playing ebony fingerboard contribute to making the Alvarez CYM75 one of the finest classical guitars offered by Sweetwater.

Stunning!
I have met my forever guitar. The CYM75 sings most sweetly, with remarkable resonance that feels like the closest thing to having a piano on your lap! The craftsmanship is overall flawless. The case is great. The guitar is gorgeous.
It is mildly startling that they have used no pore filler on the rosewood, which in light of the very thin finish makes for something slightly different from the glassy appearance that you might expect. However, once you hear the instrument all doubt evaporates! Shocking sustain, from a whisper to impressive volume, balanced and complex tone - just purely lovely and dynamic.
The neck has a quite round profile that feels wonderful and the fretwork is perfection. The tuners are buttery smooth. The shop strings sounded great but with very little bass, nice but different to what I was used to. It was shocking how much difference changing them created - with my preferred set suddenly all the lows and mids changed dramatically, and then I knew . . . I am home!
Thanks far distant Yairi Masterworks craftsmen, and thanks Sweetwater.
