Easy to use and Works Great

By Chris from SC

I am using this for an electronic drum rig. I recently purchased a sub and needed a crossover to use the sub with my existing 10" floor monitors.

It is easy to configure and the lights on the front will show you what controls are available in that mode...for example two-way stereo has the appropriate lights and the three-way mode shows those available controls, etc.

The CD Horn "eq" is a bit strange as there is no adjustable turnover point, but it can help with your particular drivers.

The built in limiters are a nice touch. You can adjust levels and there are lights to show you when limiting is active. It is a nice feature when running stereo sound as they are included (the docs say that each channel is independently limited (low, left, right), but can not verify.)

The only real issue I have is that I accidentally unplugged it when on and connected and it will let you know you "did it wrong." It lets out a massive thump...more than I've ever heard before in all my years-- so be careful. It can blow speakers up.

Ashe Davidson (sales) was great in helping me pick this out for my budget. Ashe listed to what I wanted and recommended this and I am very pleased.

I think for the cost and performance, this is something to seriously consider.

Sound quality is pretty low.

By Shawn

Sounds like the inside of a metal trash can. I'm not gonna say it is unusable, but I don't want it. Returned!

Seems okay but not detented

By Gary S. from Bremerton, WA
Music Background: Ex "A" list club audio engineer from days past.

Does it work? Yep. Is it clean enough? It is good enough for live work I can't say otherwise. How about the CD horn correction? I feel it comes in too low in frequency range. This is not an adjustable point, but for the money how could I expect it. Since I use 2-inch drivers I'd like to make up for the high end but can't. On the other hand live doesn't generally need the top of the frequency range anyway. One inch drivers I can't say. And I suppose different horn lenses roll off different as well. The limiter? Great feature, use it. Now the thing I did not like was the crossover pots, they are not detented. Therefore you are guessing at the crossover point. Not such a big deal if you run mono but stereo (or dual mono if you wish to be more accurate) it leaves me with the uneasy sound guy feeling. Yet other than this I can't complain. Since the slopes are fixed at 24db you'll have to do a little experimenting to get your best point down.

Like a charm

By Mike from Dover PA
Music Background: Dj and sound engineer for nearly 40 years

I've had one years ago like this but this has a bit more features to it and it's exactly what I hoped it would be!
Works great and I can fine tune what I need without overkill and paying more to achieve what I require.

Behringer Super-X Pro CX3400 V2 Multi-channel Crossover with Limiters

By Kevin D.
Music Background: 40 years playing/producing music

Product performs as advertised.
I like the CD horn compensation feature, makes my cheap full-range speakers have a much better high-end curve without working the EQ so hard.
Limiter is a nice feature as well.
2, 3, and 4-way give plenty of flexibility.
Looks nice in a rack.

Easy to set and provides good frequency separation

By Sweetwater Customer

The crossover is set up well and easy to understand. It provides useful options to separate your signal. The limiters seem to handle transient peaks well.
