The Casio CT-S1 61-key Portable Keyboard is great. I like the fact that it comes in white, has a minimalist design, and houses Casio's AiX Sound Source that gives more expressive tones across pianos, electric keys and synths. The touch-responsive keys feel great and it's lightweight enough for someone on the smaller/shorter side to carry (myself included).The optional battery power and USB-MID connectivity is also a plus as I plan on using it with Ableton Live 12.

This keyboard is something. The fact its $ is really incredible. The onboard speakers sound great, and even better when you click the surround button. The quality of the sounds included is great. I could do with a few less Clav options, but whatever. Battery powered option, light weight, looks great. Its portability is really a great feature. The batteries last a good amount of time considering what its powering.

For the completely, incredibly, unbelievably and fantastically low, low price this little keyboard clocks in at, you simply CAN NOT go wrong! For the dirt cheap price tag, you (correctly, in my opinion) don't expect much. Why should you- right!?!? However, take one on a little "test drive" and it's almost certain that (like myself and MANY, MANY others) you'll be highly impressed by the clean, clear, FUN, fantastic, and extremely usable patches/tones/samples that it has on board!...
The CT-S1, even though the grand piano sample is not bad, is not necessarily a good choice for an absolute beginner pianist- the lack of 88 keys is too restricting and limiting. But if you're already a fairly decent pianist or keyboard player, the CT-S1 is a wonderful addition to your current set-up/rig, or even as your first keyboard...
Again, at this price point, you WILL be pleasantly surprised and satisfied with this great little Casio...
If you do decide to purchase one (or even two) of these popular little keyboards, then do YOURSELF a tremendous favor and purchase it from Sweetwater! I never, NEVER support, "push", or endorse retail stores. Most are a nightmare to deal with. Yet, Sweetwater has throughout my experiences with them treated me like an actual VALUED customer! I'm surprised at how much you get for the price with this little gem. Keys have terrific feel and resistance. I'm an experienced musician, but a complete beginner on piano. I'd highly recommend for any beginner, but I have a suspicion even experienced keyboard players would like this. I wanted something to learn on with multiple voicings and both built in speakers and the ability to connect to an external amplifier and MIDI controller capabilities.

I had been looking for a keyboard in this price range for months, so when I saw how good this looked and how many quality sounds it had, I decided to get it. Was not disappointed when it got here today, sound quality is great, the keys feel great, presets sound great, and it's very easy to figure out. 5/5

If you will take a day or two and learn what all this keyboard is capable of you will definitely be impressed. User adjustable reverbs, chorus, EQ and variable sustain lengths can yield some very satisfying results in a super portable unit. No one will ever mistake these tones for a high-end board but for the price it's absolutely amazing.
