Gibson Acoustic 1942 Banner LG-2 Acoustic Guitar - Vintage Sunburst VOS Reviews
The Gibson Acoustic 1942 Banner LG-2 acoustic guitar delivers a big sound in a compact package. The LG-2's projection is akin to that of a J-45, yet it has the tonal detail of a small-bodied guitar. This guitar's thermally-aged red spruce top sings with the harmonically-complex voice you'd expect from a decades-old guitar. The 1942 Banner LG-2 delivers big on dynamics and character, with exceptional focus and clarity on individual notes. Pick up Gibson Acoustic's 1942 Banner LG-2 and prepare to be delighted for a lifetime.

A very fine guitar
My LG-2 met or exceeded almost every expectation that I had when I ordered it. Gibson seems to have done a very good job of creating a new guitar with a vintage feel, look and sound. The sound is dry and woody and the guitar is very playable. I'm pleased with the set-up as it is but that's always a matter of taste, I guess. The guitar really does have the appearance of an instrument from the forties that, somehow, just turned up. It's really the sound that I'm most pleased with though. It's bright and resonant. It responds well to a light touch which works well for my playing. I've enjoyed it and I'm glad that I bought it.
