Beautiful
I got the most beautiful top on my guitar, came exactly when it was supposed to and I was even sent a professional photo shoot of my personal guitar which was awesome!! This guitar gave me butterflies, it was just stunning. At first I didn't realize the back was damaged in shipping, but once I did I emailed Gage and a new one was in the works once they got the next shipment in. The new top was just okay in comparison. The sound of this guitar is absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of home growing up, listening to our Mom play her Ovation Balladeer. The tuner is great and super appreciative of it already having a battery. I haven't plugged it in yet, but so far this guitar is the best purchase I have made! I also got the ovation hard case from Sweetwater to store my guitar.
Sweetwater's customer service was absolutely top notch! As soon as the crack was discovered, Gage was quick to put in the service order and get things going. Hello old friend!
Its been 10 years since I held a guitar in my hands. I wept when I unpacked it. I retired this year and decided it's time. The tone is very balanced. The neck has a wonderful feel, both shape and finish. I am self-taught from 12 yrs old. I've played everywhere from island bars(in my youth) to church in later years. Now, after all these years my fingers are like a newborn's. I tried to ignore the beauty of this instrument when I saw it. I kept thinking, its made for sound not looks. I can't even put in the case, its like a piece of art.

This is a SUPER GUITAR that I received yesterday, took it out of the box and it was even in tune! The action is just superb just the way I like it! I have bought guitars from Musician"s Friends, however they just seem to just ship as is without even looking at the guitar, I probably won"t buy another guitar from Musician"s Friends Ever! Fantastic Guitar
I bought this guitar as an upgrade to my first acoustic guitar. I was originally going to save up and buy a Martin or a Taylor, however this guitar's distinct looks made me want to try it out. When I received the guitar and gave it a first strum I was very impressed. The playability is fantastic and it sounds different to all other acoustic guitars. Also the electronics on it are great and very useful.
Great guitar
This guitar is awesome! Once I adjusted the action to my taste, this guitar plays great. Sounds great unplugged as just a standard acoustic, but it really shines when it is plugged in. With a little chorus added in the sound is amazing! As always, I received this from Sweetwater in one day. And also as always, the guitar was carefully packed for shipping. Very satisfied with this purchase.
A Beautiful and an Amazing Guitar
This guitar not only sounds beautiful, but it looks beautiful as well. The burled Maple top goes with the body of the guitar so perfectly, and makes a wonderful sound. The shipping only took one day, and the service was outstanding. Sweetwater is the only place I shop when buying musical instruments and accessories online!
Awesome guitar for the price
I love this guitar. I am a Bass player who also play's some guitar. The one I got was the prettiest I have seen in this model. Play's and sound's great plugged or not. The one issue that I have is the tuners. Couldn't tune it and it would not stay in tune either. I changed them out for locking one's and now it is no longer an issue. I would plan on doing that if considering a purchase. Thus my rating for less then perfect.
Ovation acoustic
This guitar does have a nice feel and for the price it has exceptional sound plugged or not. One small issue I had when I received it there was a small build up of clear coat or the varnish finish whatever it is called on the back of the neck around the 3'rd fret not huge but definitely enough to just piss you off when you felt it so I took a small piece of sand paper and got rid of it I'm sure it could be easily missed but just for future customers you may want to slide your hands up and down the neck of every guitar that goes out if it would have been on the face I would have left it but you know the neck is everything when playing other than that love the guitar and your customer service is outstanding you guys rock thank you!!!
