Quality has really gone down on these.
The quality control and the overall quality of these Remo drum heads have gone down significantly.
I purchased two tom heads and the 13" tom head came with some pretty deep scratches. Almost as if someone took a razor blade to it.
Unfortunately I had a gig that day and I had no other choice but to use the head. Would think twice before purchasing again.

Great Tom Head
I've used coated Emperors on my 5mm 8-ply maple shells forever, and I wanted to change things up. I got up to pitch by just going over half a turn with this (it's usually more with the thicker Emperor). I love the punch.
