Exactly wat I expected, a cut above the rest.
I know the quality of the NS Design brand and have owned a few of Ned Steinberger's designed basses over the years. I expected quality, and attention to detail. In this design, the hipshot bridge and tuning system is mind blowing, and just made the decision easy. Not worth a star, but it does not have a "1" dot and I had to "get used to it", just a little weird for me.
Over all, 5 string, fretless, and a wide spectrum of expression through the balance of the piezo and EMF pickups, with a clean treble and bass boost cut system, along with a variety of fine tuning options, gives you a broad palette to find your tone for a song, or a personal style.
